Aja Garmisch-partenkirchen

We had a wonderful stay at aja Garmisch Partenkirchen. The room was modern and spotless, the staff were friendly, and the spa and services made for a very relaxing visit. The food was tasty and the buffet offered some lovely salad options. I would happily return!

Excellent hotel, overal, rooms good. Restaurant in hotel is good and cheap to be fair. 35 euro’s per person. Rooms are really nice with some sort of AC system which you cant control yourself but it works well anyway. The rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. Though you need to keep and keep asking for the room to be cleaned. It took like 4 hours but they did it anyway. You shouldnt be in the hotel alot anyway apart from at the bar or spa. As the surrounding is beautiful.

Our stay was affected by a number of issues, including the lack of a fridge for milk for our baby that needed to be kept cold, very hot rooms during the heatwave, an ant infestation, and several smaller service and communication issues. While none of these alone would have spoiled our stay, together they had a significant impact on our experience. To their credit, management did respond to the concerns we raised and kept us updated. However, many of the solutions felt reactive rather than proactive. Despite explaining two weeks before arrival that we needed a fridge, we were told after two days that director approval was required and one had been ordered. It eventually arrived near the end of our stay, so unfortunately it was of limited benefit. The hotel itself is modern and has a lot of potential, but there are some straightforward improvements that would make a big difference. Given the increasingly hot summers, air conditioning or more effective, quieter fans in the rooms would greatly improve comfort. Better access to housekeeping outside normal hours would also help. As a family-friendly hotel, daily housekeeping for family rooms and a practical solution for disposing of nappies, rather than leaving them in the room between the standard two-day housekeeping schedule, would make travelling with young children much easier. Overall, many of the issues we experienced felt avoidable through better communication, planning and guest-focused service.

Great stay at Hotel aja Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The team was very friendly and welcoming, the rooms were spotlessly clean and well maintained, and the breakfast and wellness area were enjoyable. The underground parking is excellent and made arrival and departure easy. Note that there is no air conditioning, but overall a comfortable and pleasant experience.
