Stayed here with my partner during our visit to Gangneung. The whole place feels quite unusual, especially seeing a giant cruise ship on land with the ocean right behind it. There’s also a large park around the resort with gardens, sculptures and different viewpoints overlooking the sea. We had a wonderful stay!
Sun Cruise Hotel left a really good impression on me. The view along the coastline was the main highlight, and it made the whole stay feel special. I also appreciated how comfortable the experience was overall. It’s the kind of place I’d happily come back to on a future trip.
This hotel has the absolute best views but the absolute worst service. I’m not one to even write a review, however I have never been treated worse in a hotel. Whoever is working the “sky lounge” deserves nothing but to be fired. Truly disrespectful. Thank you for coming to my ted talk.
NO SINGLE OCCUPANCY! If you are on your own you cannot check in ! I have never experienced this policy before and I don’t really understand it. The building shape and layout is amazing and the rooms are a good size. Swimming pool was not working in may and you need to pay another 20k won to use it. Breakfast is 25k won if not included in your room rate. There is not much around this area apart from the hotel and a few crab restaurants so one night is probably enough ? Front desk and security staff are not that friendly ☹️
The view at this hotel is absolutely beautiful. However, since it was May and quite warm, the air conditioning was not working. I had to call the front desk to ask them to turn it on, and it couldn’t even be turned off with the remote, which was very inconvenient. Also, the indoor swimming pool is not in operation, despite what is advertised. It isn’t even filled with water. Please keep this in mind when making a reservation. Even if you book a room with a pool, it will not be filled. A friend of mine stayed here during summer, and even then the pool was not usable. Don’t be misled by the advertising.
