Kensington Resort Seorak Beach

We go there every year. The location is perfect for enjoying the beach, with a two-minute walk to the beach, and it is kid-friendly. I chose a room that was not renovated, and it was only around $80 with two beds and a sofa bed in one bedroom and one living room. The view was of another building, but I had no complaint considering the price I paid for the room. The restaurant, Ashley Queens, on the first floor was good, but when we were there, there were around 30 young soldiers, and the food was not refilled on time. Since the area has several military bases, it was understandable to have those special customers, but it wasn't a pleasant meal for regular customers who pay the same amount but have to wait in front of empty dishes at a buffet.

Love their private beach. Renovated rooms are decent but you can feel that they want to make themselves easy to maintain than accommodating their guests with the level of hospitality that would suit their four star. Not even some basic tea bags were there which makes you feel like you better buy your own drinks at the cafe. I wasn’t very happy with staffs neither except for the one person who checked me in. They put their smiles on but you can feel that they are edgy not wanting to interact with the guests much, putting invisible wall around them. It’s actually sad. There were actually a few occasions that made me a bit appalled. Just not the kind of hospitality I expect from not 2, not 3 but 4 star resort. And I guess they wouldn’t really care my little complaints.

This is not a 4 star hotel. Aged facilities with foul smelling corridors. Bugs everywhere and the morning buffet is not recommended as it only has carbs carbs carbs!!!! STAY AWAY!!!!! I regret staying here. You have been warned.

Very disappointing. It is NOTHING like the pictures. The hotel is not kept up. There are no decent chairs, no sofa, no couch. There is a single plastic bench and seven plastic bar stools. No bath towels, only hand towels. No eatery outside. No beach towels available even for purchase. No beach lounges or chairs. “Restaurant” is nasty with little to no hygiene practiced and is only a very expensive/disappointing buffet. This is NOT a 4 star resort, but is a 2 star motel on the beach. They want to fine guests who don’t bring recycling down the hall to a recycling bin. There is no daily room service. The beds are hard. The bath in one room didn’t work. The room refrigerator didn’t work. This place is over promised and under delivered!
