The hotel was clean and the room was clean. But that's all good points about it. The staffs were not knowledgeable on their hotel at all. I requested 3rd key since I left both keys and phone at room, took 30 minutes to verify my identity. I had to call person in Seoul to verify. I guess I wasn't trust worthy looking. Also, the room service only available for kids' menu before dinner time. I still don't know why. I also request extra towels but NEVER received. I complained at check out, and the receptionist told me, she didn't work yesterday. OMG! I HIGHLY "NOT" recommend this hotel. Great location, clean hotel and room, but hoteliers need better training and customer skills

My wife and I stayed in the penthouse at Hotel Tops10 for New Year's with both sets of our parents. Because we booked late, the regular rooms were completely sold out, so we had to spring for the penthouse. It was definitely expensive, but honestly worth it for the space. When we arrived, the lobby was packed with people in winter coats waiting to check in under a big neon Tops10 sign and a Christmas wreath, but once we got to the room, it was incredibly relaxing. The layout was perfect for six people. There is a huge central living room with a large sofa and table, flanked by a bedroom and an attached bathroom on each side. This gave both sets of parents their own private space to stay comfortably. The room itself had beautiful herringbone wood floors and a nice little bar area with dark marble countertops and a Nespresso machine. Both the living room and the bedrooms have massive floor-to-ceiling windows facing the East Sea, so we were able to watch the New Year's sunrise right from our rooms. Even the bathroom had a deep white freestanding soaking tub right up against the glass overlooking the water. One weird quirk about having walls made entirely of glass: it gets incredibly hot during the day. Even in the middle of winter, we actually had to crack the windows to let some air in and pull the heavy gray curtains shut to block out the greenhouse effect from the sun. The location is solid, with nice places to walk along the beach nearby, and having a hot spring sauna right in the building was super convenient. However, there are two major downsides you need to know about. First, the elevators are painfully slow—we ended up just taking the stairs most of the time. Second, and much more importantly, the tile floor in the room's entryway is very wide but extremely slippery. Most of our parents actually slipped and fell, which is a serious safety hazard. Keep a close eye on your footing if you stay here.
I recently returned to Korea after a long time abroad and started a week-long trip around the Gangwon area. This hotel was our first stop. We arrived late in the afternoon, and while I rested due to jet lag, my mother went to use the hotel’s on-site hot springs. However, when she returned, she told me that she had accidentally stepped on feces inside the hot spring area while walking. It seemed like it may have been left by a toddler (?), but it was extremely unpleasant and, more importantly, dangerous — she almost slipped because of it. This was very disappointing, especially for a hotel of this level. The staff should pay far more attention to hygiene, safety checks, and regular maintenance of the facilities. A hot spring should be a place where guests can relax, not experience something like this. I hope the hotel takes this issue seriously and improves cleanliness and safety protocols for future guests.
Poorly maintained so the room felt dirty and furnishing felt very “bare bones”. For what they are charging in the chuseok holidays, it was definitely overcharging. Ondol does not operate until it is winter so it can get cold in autumn.
It shows 4 star at the main entrance but honestly it's 2 star hotel except the size and amenities at the location. The room with heated floor had no funiture except a little tea table and two chairs which you can find in dadami style Japanese restaurant. The gym has no towels and water dispenser so make sure bring your own. Hotel breakfast buffet runs from 7 am till 10am but ran out of the food by 9am. The front desk warned that you need to be there by 9 if you want to eat as much as you would pay 35000 korean won! Anyone visiting from over seas, pls do not make reservations because it is just water of money and you precious time.
