Snorkeling In Unawatuna

Great snorkeling trip in unawantuna with a lot of fish and corals to see. Got 3 snorkle in 3 different places. It was nice to snorkel at the shipwreck. The captain was nice and friendly. Good value for money. Only gave it 4/5 as I had to wait 20-30 before they came and got me.

Great experience overalls, our guide is very experienced & patient to explain where we go and what is needed to do for our safety, However the visibility is not so good.

I had originally booked the exact same snorkeling experience with ZRI last year April. Unfortunately, that trip didn't go ahead since the company contacted me to say that due to low visibility, they would rather cancel the trip than take us with the risk of us ending up being disappointed because we wouldn't be able to see any fish. The money was refunded rightaway. In other words, a very honest, reliable company! This is why this year, we didn't hesitate to choose this company again. Most of us did not have any experience came with snorkeling. The crew explained everything clearly and extensively. My friends and I felt safe and comfortable at all times. We saw many colourful fish. In short: a fantastic first snorkeling experience for my friends! If you're looking for a professional, honest and reliable snorkeling company: look no further. This was a great experience for us in our honeymoon in Sri Lanka. The company is small and friendly, meaning they're able to be flexible with timings. They arranged a 9am boat for us the morning after we booked on TripAdvisor, communicating conveniently via WhatsApp (they don't message you until the morning of the trip, so don't worry, but after that they communicate very well). We were the only people on the boat so were able to go at our own pace. Snorkel gear and life vests were provided for those that wanted them. We stopped to snorkel at three locations: a beautiful rocky shoreline with tropical fish; a shipwreck and over some really unusual, huge mushroom coral. Great value for a morning's entertainment!

This trip turned out better than expected. Take you gps as the tuk tuk driver will struggle with the meeting point. Not mentioned was a boat ride of 15 mins to Jungle beach to anchor off the rocks . No guide is mentioned which was / is a comfort to the less experienced. Not mentioned is a second site over a wreck in deeper waters hopefully bigger fish. Third site in shallower water the growth of soft coral returning after the Tsunami . Really worth the $40 a head

What a morning, the guides were so friendly and helpful and safe. We saw the shipwreck and lots of schools of fish and amazing soft coral, it was a great activity that we really enjoyed, if in unawatuna it’s a great safe way to spend time in the ocean and the company we’re professional and really open and warm, do it

Main objective was to see turtles and not let down, divers took us straight to them. Nice and simple no fussing, great experience to get so close.

The guides and organisation of the trip was really good but the reef they took us to was really disappointing. No corals, very few fish and nothing else.

Making a reservation with Zri was hassle-free thanks to Zakib. They did an excellent job organising our snorkelling trip to Unawatuna. Our guide (Niroshan) and the person who handled the boat were super friendly and professional. The changing rooms provided for us were clean and convenient too. Thank you for making our little adventure memorable and we definitely look forward to booking another adventure with Zri. Highly recommended.

We had a very nice snorkling experience. We spotted many nice fish! The boattrip and the snorkling gear were all perfect! They take many photo's during the trip (above and belown the water) which you receive for free!

Snorkeling in Unawatuna was a beautiful experience made quite hassle free and affordable by ZRI adventures. The guides were very friendly and informative and the equipment were of a good quality and quite clean. Zakib was super helpful with my enquiries regarding my booking and the confirmation was super fast as well. Will definitely be going back to them the next time I'm in Sri Lanka.

We had a great experience in Unawatuna with snorkeling. Mr. Zakib with the ZRI team was very prompt in handling the experience. We were taken to sea by Mr. Suranga and Team and they were made sure we were safe and enjoyed our time snorkeling. We saw a lots of fishes and corals in the sea. Our trip was 2-hours of snorkeling which took us two locations in the sea and we enjoyed both of them. This is a must have experience if you are looking for snorkeling in Unawatuna.

This was one reasonably priced, hassle-free experience with all the necessary equipment provided along with a friendly guide. We were quite impressed with the super-quick response with the confirmation as well. If you ever need to dive-in and explore the beautiful waters of Sri Lanka, ZRI Adventures is definitely your go-to team!

This was an organised and professional group. I booked online and got an almost immediate response with contact details and information. When I arrived at the location I was brought to the Snorkelling Center and was fitted with mask and fins. While I would have like a bit more of a friendly greeting sometimes these surfer types are just chill and laid back :) It was a short boat ride out. At first the visibility was not great but it quickly cleared. I saw lots of different fish, eels, etc. We also saw a ship wreck. I had not snorkelled in awhile and appreciated the gentle support of my guide. It was well worth the value. I had a great time and would recommend this company.

Not one to usually book trips through adventure agencies, but asked around within our “friends of friends” circles and found that these guys were some of the best in the business! The boys were Super friendly and flexible, hooking us up with the best packages to fit our student budget and large group. Certainly helps that they have a very thorough knowledge of the best spots for whatever activity our group requested. They were able give us the A-Z’s on each one, helping us pick out the best suited activity for all of us to enjoy! Absolutely no complaints, throughly enjoyed the experience. 100% would recommend ZRI for all your adrenaline whims and fantasies!
