Beautiful place with a spacious and comfortable suite room. calm and peaceful, making it the perfect place to relax. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the food was delicious. Just a minor point for maintenance. some of the wooden parts could benefit from a fresh coat of paint or a little touch up.
A Beautiful Heritage Stay at Tamarind Hill in Galle, Sri Lanka! Tamarind Hill is a charming heritage hotel that beautifully combined Sri Lankan culture, colonial elegance and modern comfort. The hotel has a unique atmosphere with stunning architectire, peaceful surroundings and timeless charm that makes our stay truly special. They have a swimming pool which was surrounded by a tranquil setting where nature and some animals are just there to enjoy too. There were monkeys, gecko and peacocks flying around. We also had Sri Lankan dishes for breakfast and a lovely way to start the day. Our room and our bathroom is so spacious and very comfortable bed and pillows. The staff are very welcoming and helpful and always ready to serve. What makes Tamarind Hill stand out is its cultural heritage, elegant design and warm hospitality. They offer a peaceful escape while allowing guests to experience a beautiful atmosphere.
We stayed at Tamarind Hill Galle recently with family and booked 4 rooms in total. Everything was top notch! The rooms were super spacious, the bathrooms were huge, and having our own private courtyard was such a nice touch. The food was honestly delicious every day. Huge shoutout to the staff member who took such good care of us at the buffet and food service, the hospitality was incredible and made a big difference. The place itself has a really unique vibe with plenty of cozy lounges to kick back and chill out. It felt like a peaceful retreat, yet it was only a quick couple of minutes’ drive into Galle Fort. Overall, it was an unforgettable stay for all of us. Huge thanks to the team, we'll definitely be back!
I stayed for two nights at Tamarind Hill with my husband, and we had a wonderful experience. Our room was clean, spacious, and beautifully grand. The hotel itself has beautiful architecture, and we really enjoyed learning about the history of the property from the staff. What I especially loved about the property was the peaceful atmosphere and the lovely animals around the grounds. There were peacocks and cats wandering around, and even a turtle in the pond! It really added to the charm of the place. If you’re looking for a peaceful stay away from the hustle and bustle of the city, I highly recommend Tamarind Hill. It’s also conveniently located just a short tuk-tuk ride from Galle Fort. We arrived a little early without letting the hotel know in advance, but the staff kindly and quickly arranged our room for us. Kaminda was always there to help us and was very attentive and eager to assist. The food was good, the pool was lovely, and all the staff were kind and helpful throughout our stay. Overall, we really enjoyed our time here and would happily stay again.
We stayed here for 2 nights and genuinely enjoyed the whole experience. The hotel has a beautiful old colonial charm that gives a calm and timeless feeling. If you enjoy historic architecture and peaceful surroundings, this is definitely a lovely place to stay. The rooms were very spacious, clean, and well equipped with all the necessary amenities, which made our stay really comfortable. There’s also a nice pool area to relax and unwind. One thing we really appreciated was the food everything we tried was tasty. It honestly added a lot to the overall experience. Only draw back was waiting time for the food. We had to sit there for nearly 20mins, until the food arrives for each meal, even though we inform the time for the meals. The beach was in the walking distance from the hotel. Overall the atmosphere felt warm and relaxing throughout our stay, and we would happily visit again. A very pleasant stay 8/10 ⭐
