We had a wonderful stay at Tabula Rasa ✨️ Our room was beautiful, and having our own plunge pool overlooking the sea was such a treat, especially at sunset. The main pool also has an amazing view. The food at the restaurant was delicious, with great quality dishes. We also had a massage and visited a nearby temple, which was a really nice experience. We would happily come back and definitely recommend it!
Great hotels benefit from the work of inspirational architects, but they are truly great because of the culture and atmosphere created by the staff. Tabula Rasa has great form, there is no question about that, but the staff really make it great; they are truly exceptional, without exception! To list some, means we inadvertently miss others, but a special shout-out to Vishmi and Usmesh from the Front of House Team who met us on arrival, made us feel so relaxed and special, thus setting the scene for the rest of our seven night stay in paradise. This boutique resort has immaculate gardens and a beautiful infinity pool which blends into the jungle and coast beyond. We enjoyed monkeys, squirrels, mongoose, dragonflies, butterflies, birds, iguanas and Max, the docile resort dog! We had an amazing and very private suite with a plunge pool which overlooked the rich jungle and ocean. Simply spectacular. The warm and comforting aroma of cinnamon oil welcomes you back to the delightfully stylish accommodation after a busy or relaxing (!) day. Somewhere in a frame by the restaurant is an explanation of the resort’s logo. It ends with this: “We like to think, when our guests leave the resort, they are energised and inspired ...”. Mission accomplished - I have not felt so energised and inspired (or relaxed!) in many years. Thank you.
A special appreciation goes to the housekeeping team for their attention to detail, professionalism, and genuine care. Every little touch showed how much effort they put into ensuring guests feel welcomed and well looked after. The room was kept immaculate throughout our stay, and their service was both discreet and incredibly attentive. It is rare to experience such warm and consistent hospitality, and the housekeeping team at Tabula Rasa deserves special recognition for maintaining such high standards. Their dedication truly added to the beauty and comfort of our stay. Overall, Tabula Rasa Resort is a wonderful place to unwind, surrounded by a peaceful atmosphere and supported by a team that genuinely cares about its guests.
I’ve never had such an incredible experience before! From the moment we arrived we were treated like royalty. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. The room had views over the ocean which were spectacular. The food was incredible, some of the best food I’ve had before. I’ve never enjoyed a resort stay as much as I did here. Upon arrival I knew I was staying somewhere pretty special - incredible fruit juice as a welcome drink, and a villa that has been scented with sweet spices to make it all that more inviting, yet also sophisticated. I loved sitting in my private pool, watching the wildlife in the jungle, reading my book and relaxing. Galle Fort is about 20 minutes ride in a tuk tuk, and a beautiful sea turtle sanctuary is nearby too. I enjoyed drinks at the pool bar, the Sri Lankan delight cashews are very moorish and the restaurant serves incredible food! Both the western and Sri Lankan dishes were incredible - highly recommend! Thank you for a great stay, I’ve enjoyed every minute and I look forward to returning one day!
