Garle Fort has a decentand clean environment and friendly service. It's a good option if you're looking for comfort at a reasonable price. While there may be room for improvement in some areas, the overall experience is pleasant and worth considering.
We came for our evening meal, Irosh our host was fabulous smiles and excellent service. The food and drinks menu's are both fun and tasty. All round a brilliant experience. The addition of live music also brilliant. We will be back.
I went to eat here with a friend and the restaurant is amazing. The staff is really attentive and super kind. We stayed for a while for lunch & coffee and never felt rushed by the staff. The ambiance is really nice, as you can sit overlooking the courtyard away from the street. If you’re unsure what to order, we can highly recommend the steak.
We had our last night in Sri Lanka here, absolutely perfect! Stunning building and the most accommodating staff. Room is beautiful and lovely and cool with air conditioning, fabulous bed. Well looked after with chilled water, chocolates in the evening and lovely toiletries . Staff friendly and happy to help. Had the most delicious cocktails in their bar, they have their own mixologists who have created divine Sri Lankan cocktails. Breakfast was delicious and even better finally delicious strong coffee. Pool is a welcome calm respite from the heat .

A beautiful colonial era hotel situated right in the centre of the Fort area. The Grand apartment suite we stayed is large, spacious and beautifully restored to its former look.
There's a lovely pool in the centre courtyard an outside dinning area. Out front the Ropewalk seating streatches the length of the hotel and is a wonderful place to sit of an evening, drink a cocktail or 2 and watch the world of scooters, tuk runs and pedestrians pass by.
The food here is lovely, beautifully cooked and carefully presented. Many a London restaurant could learn a thing or two here.
All in all a wonderful place to be.
