We have just had a wonderful stay at this very special boutique hotel, which offered an oasis of calm some 15 mins by tuk tuk from Galle - an interesting and very lively city. The hotel staff were excellent in every sense, professional and unobtrusive, nothing was too much trouble. We thought the whole design concept was fabulous and sympathetic to its environment with a well maintained garden leading straight on to the beach which was great for our early morning walks after which Breakfast was particularly enjoyable. I stayed at the hotel between the 1st and the 5th of 2025 and had a wonderful experience. The staff truly made all the difference. It’s clear that the owners and the team are completely in sync, and that harmony is reflected throughout the entire place. The atmosphere was very chill and easygoing—nothing felt forced. The staff were never intrusive, yet always present when needed. Everything felt genuine and heartfelt. The beachfront location is excellent; however, in December the waves can be quite strong and may feel intimidating for non-expert swimmers. The pool is on the smaller side for swimming, but it’s perfect for a quick cool-down and especially great for kids. We didn’t really need the pool much anyway, as we spent a lot of time exploring the area. I stayed in the ocean view room, and falling asleep to the sound of the waves was incredibly soothing and unforgettable. The in-room amenities were a lovely touch—bathroom amenities, coffee, biscuits, and fresh fruit were much appreciated. The linen bathrobe was absolutely fantastic; I honestly would have bought one if it had been for sale 🙂 The location is very well-centered and convenient for taking a tuk-tuk to explore Galle, Mirissa, or other nearby areas. It’s a great place to return to after visiting many of Bawa’s sites around Bentota or Galle. Highly recommended, and a place I would happily return to. BIG Thank you to Rohan and the Team again. :)

Our family spent an unforgettable week at Arabella, and it truly exceeded all expectations. The views were absolutely breathtaking, and the entire team went above and beyond to make us feel at home. The staff were warm, attentive, and incredibly accommodating. Special thanks to Rohan, whose hospitality made our stay extra special. The food was outstanding: fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The breakfast smoothies were a daily highlight, and the fish tacos at lunch were hands down some of the best we’ve had. Our rooms were immaculate throughout our stay, adding to the overall sense of comfort and care. Arabella set a new standard for accommodation in Sri Lanka and made our holiday one we’ll be talking about for years to come. Highly recommended!
