We booked a 6 day tour with Rebecca Adventure Travel. We had an amazing trip because of the planning and organization of Rebecca Travel. They worked with us to arrange our itinerary to meet our needs. Everything was perfect. Guides met us and helped us get from place to place and all the accommodations were arranged and wonderful. We enjoyed snorkeling with Galapagos penguins, sealions, and sea turtles. We saw lots of Galapagos tortoises and blue footed boobies. One of the most beautiful and interesting places we have been to. I can't say enough good things about Rebecca Travel. They were in communication with us daily and any time we had a question.

The snorkeling was excellent! Viator was great with communication and reliability, and responsiveness. Met nice people.
he tour package was excellent! What I liked most was how seamlessly everything was organized—transportation, pick-up, meals, and hotel. The tour operator coordinated everything behind the scenes, and everyone knew exactly what to do and was on time every single day. Very impressive! We snorkeled every day and saw all kinds of animals, including a seahorse and an eagle ray. All the guides were extremely knowledgeable, and the entire experience was so much fun.
This trip was planned and executed impeccably. I had a lot of contact before we arrived choosing individualized hotels, meals and activities. I was still nervous before we went due to questions about security and any arrangements we would have to make on our own. Rebecca adventure travels went so far above and beyond! They met us at every airport and squired us through every transportation mode leaving nothing to chance for non-Spanish speaking gringos. Their staff was uniformly welcoming and wonderful. We went first to San Cristóbal and stayed at Casa Playa Mann, a terrific small hotel near the center of town. A major surprise was the gourmet quality of each restaurant we went to. Our guide, Karen, showed us blue footed boobies. Next we flew a short inter island flight to Puerto Ayora. Hotel Ikala had the biggest never ever saw and also a great location. Our guide Cesar took us to see turtles. He was a total hoot and so informative! Lastly we flew back to Quito and stayed at the upscale Go Hotel. Our guide Fernando was amazing and knew so much of Ecuadorian history and culture. We toured the historic center and churches. We couldn’t be happier than with this tour company and now plan on using their other services throughout Latin America.
Used the Lindblad National Geographic Endeavor II. Package included airfare from Miami to Guayaquil, hotel, flight to Galapagos to board our ship and return. The travel to and from was very well organized. They do have an efficient system. Ship had 100 passengers and 63 crew. Typical day was a landing on an island for a walk of a mile or so with a naturalist. Since I was solo, I would go back to the disembark area and wait in line to hop onto a Zodiac. Each Zodiac had a driver, room for 8 on each side and then the guide/naturalist would hop on last. Random who you got, but I found that all of them were very knowledgeable down to the Latin names of things. Back to the ship for lunch and then back into the Zodiacs for snorkeling. And a couple of times there was a pretty good hike. One day was spent at the Darwin Research Station and then up to the highlands for a lunch and walk about the giant tortoises. I had a BLAST every day. The trip checked all of my boxes. All of the crew were great, food was great, service was great and even the Captain serenaded us one night with Latin songs. Pricey, but I had been wanting to do this for decades. Notes: They have good gear for snorkeling. A couple of people had Go cameras and got good underwater shots of sea turtles and sea lions that swam with us. I downloaded from Apple Books a naturalists guide to the Galapagos and read during my flights down. Good preparation. Guides were impressed that I had done my homework. Don't eat all of the food that they put in front of you. I put on only one pound.
We used Rebecca Adventure Travel company for our Galapagos vacation (6-Day Island Hopping Budget Tour). We enjoyed staying on the islands (as opposed to doing a cruise-style vacation), to stay at local hotels and eat at local restaurants. We opted for a budget-friendly vacation. We did a speed-boat transfer between islands twice. One of the boats we had was an extremely rough ride for about 2.5 hours (a couple of passengers got sick. Although the other transfer we did was with a different boat and was quite smooth (people were sleeping comfortably during the trip). So, if you are someone who gets seasick, we would recommend to be prepared for the possibility of a rough boat trip and to be prepared with motion-sickness tablets. Another thing you could do is to mention to the company that you would prefer a smoother boat transfer if possible (not entirely sure how the schedules work). We were prepared and it all worked out fine for us! We stayed a few nights on Isabela Island, and a few on Santa Cruz. The hotels were very nice and the activities were great! We saw so much wildlife! We highly recommend using Rebecca Adventure Travel! The company was highly responsive to our questions prior to our trip and during the trip as well!
Well organized from start to finish. Good service during orientation and booking (in Dutch, Spanish and English). When we arrived at the airport, the guide was already waiting for us. All guides were friendly and knew a lot about the Galapagos Islands. Hotels were fine. Rebecca Adventures Travel was also easily accessible during the tour. We will definitely book our next holiday through Rebecca!
Our group of seven took the 6 day Budget trip and had a great time. We added an additional day so we could visit the Highlands and see the tortoises. Rebecca’s travel provided great communication from beginning to end. This trip was originally planned for July 2020 and we had to postpone twice. Email with the company was easy and they provided quick responses. Fast forward to July 2022 and now half the group is in the Galapagos and half still in the US due to flight cancellations. Rebecca’s Travel came to the rescue and made sure the half arriving late were still taken care of, picked up at the airport and transported to meet up with the rest of the group. During the trip, we were able to keep in contact with the company via What’s App. They texted daily see how everything was going and to let us know the plan for the next day. They even texted when they learned one in our group was sick. I will recommend Rebecca’s Travel again. They are a great company to work with and provide a great service.
Kind of unorganized for a solo traveler with dates that don’t align along their schedule? Maybe they cater better to couples or groups? Pick up was strange (I was told I would have a sign with my name on it…this guy was wandering the arrival area whispering my name for a good 10 mins…then claimed no paper was used on the islands…your argument doesn’t hold much weight when everyone else was holding dry-erase boards…), the process of getting to the main nexus of Puerto Ayora/Santa Cruz is as follows: plane-bus-boat-car (about an hour ten minutes), rarely was anyone friendly or ever a bona-fide “you’re with me or us and it’s nice to meet you!” guide; they were all from various agencies per wherever you landed as you’re scattered to the winds of third parties, and for the activities it was literally every single day snorkeling with not a lot of variety - a HIKE to a volcano would’ve been appreciated, something! Even give us a list to cater to our preferences. To boot an older man was put on some of these treks and he was borderline handicapped….send out a survey, a questionnaire, something because he not only inconvenienced people in the tour but it was hard to watch him struggle. Breakfast and lunch were also extremely bland and, say, one meal being bland, ok fine, but to return to the SAME restaurant, TWICE, when there are tons of interesting fusion takes around..? You’re not getting what they’re charging to be honest and you can show up to Puerto Ayura/Santa Cruz for a week or two and do everything (Isabela, Santa Fe, etc etc) for about $1,000 or under consulting with the pop-up shops along the main drag of Darwin Street.
Rebecca Travel was an absolutely amazing company to go through. They had everything scheduled and ready to go from start to finish and the tours were amazing. My fiance and I were living in Quito at the time we visited the Galapagos. My parents came down to Ecuador to visit us and experience this once in a lifetime trip. If you are on a budget (and get motion sick and want to stay on land at night like we did) this is the trip for you! The food was amazing and the experiences are some that we will cherish forever. **The ferry can be VERY ROUGH so it is worth arriving early to get a good seat in the back as well as taking LOTS of dramamine. The ferry ride is worth it though.
What an amazing experience!!! I rarely book full tours and instead, prefer to customize my own itinerary, but originally booked my trip with relatively short notice so took a chance on the 6 day tour around the Galapagos. Then it had to be rescheduled due to covid. The staff at Rebecca’s was great to work with through all of the uncertainty. Very responsive and knowledgeable as we worked through the date changes and requirements for travel. Once we arrived, we were met by the BEST tour guide in all of the Galapagos, Cesar. From the get go, he gave us great information about the history, the animals and various plants found on the island. If you research the trip in advance, believe the hype about the boat ride to Isabella from Santa Cruz. It is ROUGH. Take Dramamine, sit toward the back..say a prayer or 2..and just get through it. Once that’s over, the next couple days are filled with absolutely amazing experiences. The snorkeling is unbelievable. The water is so clear to see all of the oceanic wildlife. Swimming with the sea turtles is incredible. The sea lions are completely adorable and so playful, they really make the trip! The food is fantastic with a ton of variety. At some point, you sadly have to get back on the boat to head back to Santa Cruz. Still a rough ride. Oy But the snorkeling experience off of Santa Fe, one of the excursions from Santa Cruz, will be worth any seasickness you may experience. It’s beyond gorgeous. So so so clear. Swimming with sea lions, turtles, rays…incredible. The bay tour was the only excursion that if you felt like skipping, you wouldn’t be missing much. Way too crowded for what you get…but everything else was absolutely phenomenal. Not having to worry about transportation, finding guides, deciding and the best tours…if you’re considering this tour through Rebecca’s…DO IT! You won’t regret it.
Angelica at Rebecca Travels planned the perfect Ecuadorean adventure for us. She listened to what we like to do and incorporated all of our wishes. We got to ride horses around Cotopaxi, take a cooking class in Quito, explore the Napo River on a wonderful cruise and spend time in the Galapagos on another wonderful cruise. All came off without a hitch and we would definitely recommend Angelica!!
This trip was just amazing. I am a single traveller and this programm was great for me. They took so good care of me and i had to think of nothing. Really enjoyed it!
It was the best traveling experience so far in my life. Big thanks to Rebecca's team, everything has been perfectly arranged, the guides, hotels, and the staff are all so kind and professional. I will definitely recommend everyone to take the tour from Rebecca since it's totally worth it.
Interesting views, bird and animal life, excellent guides and a climate perfect for vacations also for retired people.
While I wish I could just write raving reviews about this trip, there were alot of great guides and experiences, but we also had our credit card numbers stolen while we were on one of our snorkeling tours, so I thought it would be good to offer a word of warning to other travelers to be cautious of the tour guides. The company (Rebecca adventures) was very organized and we always had rides to and from the airport and our tours were all scheduled and went as planned. But during one of the snorkeling trips, a guide on the boat took our wallet out of our backpack and took pictures of 4 of our credit cards and proceeded to charge (literally) thousands of dollars to all 4 of the credit cards the next day. So while it wasn't the Rebecca adventures who took advantage of us, they put us on a tour with someone who did take advantage of us. I would hope that they would be better at making sure that the people they are sending us out on tours with aren't going to steal our information while we are out in the water snorkeling. it really put a damper on what was an otherwise good trip.
I booked the tour quite late, just few days before my trip started. I wanted to avoid the hassle of planning myself and trusted that the agency would provide a perfect plan. Indeed, I enjoyed most of the activities and was extremely delighted to have discovered the stunning biodiversity of the Galapagos. The guides were also very helpful and knowledgeable, and provided valuable inputs, illustrating the scientific, historical and cultural contexts of the visited areas. In 2 occasions, I was surprised that my “days” ended in the early afternoon and felt that I could further benefit from my time. Despite my anxiousness, the staff remained calm and professional, but the suggested alternatives were not compelling, and no follow-up was conducted consequently. This is not to undermine the staff’s efforts, but to say that a tailored plan would help the traveler achieve his/her objectives and help Rebecca Adventure Travel maintain a quality service for all its customers.
We absolutely loved this tour. Everything went as planned and the tour guides were very informative. The boat ride to Isabella was more difficult than I thought it would be but well worth the discomfort of 2 hours. Don’t try if you have motion sickness. This company was very helpful and informative.
Incredibly well organized from airport pick up to airport drop-off. As a solo female traveler I felt safe throughout, and the itinerary was very well put together with lots of snorkeling, knowledgeable tour guides, and tons of wildlife. I feel like I got all the best of the Galapogos during my time there thanks to Laura (the only exception being a few hour trek to the Wall of Tears, not my cup of tea when there are so many other cool things or it would be better as a bike ride- when I gave her this feedback it was well received as they are constantly trying to improve!) . Accommodations where clean and friendly. HIGHLY recommend and I will be looking to Rebecca Travel in the future.
The trip to Galapagos was totally worth it and this 6 day Island hoping adventure is very well organised and gives a great inside of the archipel. the wild life and the nature are just stunning and will stay in my mind for the rest of my life.
My partner and I have booked with Rebecca Adventure tours in May 2018 for the tour commencing in October 2018. Right from the start, we were very impressed by the level of support from Rebecca and the strive of the company to accommodate our needs making the trip most enjoyable. Rebecca and her staff were excellent communicators - all our questions were answered quickly and explicitly, there were never hidden costs or any other unpleasant surprises. Due to multiple changes in our flight itinerary, we had to ask Rebecca and her colleagues to accommodate several changes in our arrival/departure times, sometimes on a very short notice (less than 24 hours!). We admire Rebecca's staff attitude and willingness to walk extra mile to make sure their clients are happy. Our main contact on Galapagos was Patricia and she just kept making minor miracles of organisation and planning. All our last-minute changes were taken into account, we were met at the airport in Isla Baltra and the tour proceeded without a glitch. All hotels picked for us by Rebecca and her colleagues were very nice and comfortable, the hotel staff were most friendly and welcoming and extremely helpful with just about anything we needed (like snorkeling gear, wet suits, directions and recommendations). They fed us well and made sure that we slept comfortably and were rested and fresh, ready for the day's adventures. The transfers were always on-time and absolutely reliable. The guides were awesome - very informative and friendly. It was nice to see that they really cared about Galapagos and were very keen to share their love and knowledge of the islands with us. Most of the day adventures were in small groups, some were tailored just for the two of us, but even excursions with a larger group (up to 10-15 people) were very well managed and we really enjoyed every minute of it. This tour is very active, we were busy doing our adventures pretty much all day along, but the variety was great and we made sure that our fitness level was adequate to enjoy such an active vocation. We took thousands of photographs to keep the memory of Galapagos that became very close to our hearts - thanks to rebecca Adventure travel!
We had a great time snorkeling and exploring a few of the islands on the Galapagos with Rebecca Adventure Travel. For the most part, everything was well-organized and we covered a fair bit of ground in only 6 nights. I highly recommend doing as much snorkeling as possible. We absolutely loved meeting Ricardo and all the guides took great care of us, as did the hotel staff. We really preferred to eat meals out so we could enjoy the variety the islands had to offer. We only wish we could have seen a few more, and also seen it during rainy season! Rebecca and her team took great care of us!
This was our first experience with purchasing a complete tour, and it was fantastic! Each morning and each afternoon there was an activity. All the transports and connections were beautifully coordinated. Every decision was already made, every itinerary coordinated to meet a timetable that we didn't have to figure out. All we had to do was to show up at our assigned place and time, and have fun. We had selected the "budget" tour option, but our rooms and meals definitely exceeded a budget experience. Even the meals, which had been described as "simple," were lovely, fresh, and filling. However, the best part of the tour was the guides! We had 6 of them. Every guide we had was friendly, knowledgable, kind, careful about safety, and really fun! Every guide was passionate about Galapagos, too. They all know the history, the geology, the plants and animals, the ecosystems, the concerns. They answered every question. For us, the highlights were the Sierra Negra hike, the Puerto Ayora Bay Tour, the Charles Darwin Center in Puerto Ayora, and the Tintorreras tour. Tortuga Bay was beautiful, too, but we especially liked the optional boat ride back to Puerto Ayora from there. We saw every animal I had hoped to see, too: Sea lions, sea turtles, giant tortoises, blue-footed boobies, flamingos, sharks, pelicans, the famous finches, marine iguanas, land iguanas, and even a ray.

The islands are beautiful! The accommodations are very basic - if you like nice hotels, not the place for you. I would suggest not getting the food package... the food is very basic and repetitive. Same meal almost every time.

The Galapagos is amazing! Go! I believe this tour company farms out to local tour groups. My day tours were great and I LOVED snorkeling and hiking each day. But communication on the 2nd part of my tour wasn't always the best. And dinner is at the same 2 places. I would have liked a variety of restaurants instead of 1/ island you stay on. I'd do it again in a heartbeat! My only regret is not spending more time there!

We were very impressed at the way they kept all the various people going to their various activities! Food was simple and plentiful. Rooms were roomy and comfortable, but don't expect five star by American standards, plumbing, etc. is NOT the same. All the staff went out of their way to make sure we were well cared for. Even though we booked English speaking the accents can be tough, but remember they are doing you a favor speaking a foreign language so you don't have to learn Spanish! We thought they were great!

For a first time trip to the Galapagos, the tour could not have gone smoother. The itinerary was accurate and the tour handlers and guides were prompt, attentive, polite, courteous, and incredibly helpful. Our contact, Theo, was there to greet us at the airport and made sure we made it to Puerto Ayora. Our hotel in Puerto Ayora was the Hotel Fernandina. The hotel was quiet, clean, and comfortable. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The meals were tasty and filling.
Our first tour to the Charles Darwin Research Station was on our first day. Our guide, Cesar, was very friendly and informative. He pointed out all the various flora and fauna along the way and made sure we got to see everything we could. The Charles Darwin Research Station was a great introduction to the islands. We got to see the various baby tortoise populations -- the younger ones age 1-2 were all in covered pens for their safety and the older ones age 2-4 all had their color coded numbers on them and were roaming around their habitats. There were several older tortoises there too as part of the breeding center. Make sure to get your passport stamped at the interpretive center. The tour consisted of just my wife and I and Cesar.
Day 2 - snorkeling at Santa Fe-our tour guide, Wlison, met us at the tour shop where we got wet suits and snorkels. We boarded the boat with a group of 8 adults, 3 children, and 3 crew. It took us about 45 minutes to get out to the island. The seas were a bit rough, so if prone to seasickness, take medicine. We cut the motors near the shore and we drifted past several of the native birds that nest on the rocks: blue footed boobies, Galapagos gulls, and a few others. We dropped anchor and snorkeled just off shore. The rocks near shore were teeming with all sorts of fish. It was like swimming in an aquarium. Amazing. We stayed there about 45 minutes or so, got back on the boat and moved to the bay on the island. This tour didn't have a permit to go ashore, but we were able to snorkel in the bay near seal lions. We ate grilled tuna on board before heading back. The seas were too rough to dock at the hidden beach, so we returned to Puerto Ayora. We explored the city with our free time before dinner. The Laguna de las Ninfas was a hidden gem!
Day 3 - Tortuga Bay - Cesar was our guide again for the trek down to the beach. It's about a 30-40 minute walk through the dry forest to the beach. The initial beach is ocean facing with rough waves. There were several abandoned sea turtle nests. At the end of the beach there was a big population of marine iguanas. Just through the mangroves was the beach in the bay -- calm waters and soft sand! A sea lion swam parallel to the beach about 10 meters off shore. Very pleasant.
After lunch we took the boat to Isla Isabela. Again, take medicine if you get sea sick. This was a rough ride due to the winds and sea end of June. We arrived in Puerto Villamil and we were greeted by our guide, Josef. We dropped off our luggage at La Laguna Hotel and went over to the Flamingo Lagoon on the west edge of town. Lots of other birds were there too: moor hens, stilt birds, various ducks, as well as several flamingos. La Laguna Hotel was very nice - again the staff was wonderful, and the room was clean and comfortable.
Day 4 - a bit of sea sickness caused us to skip the volcano hike. We revisited the flamingo lagoon and hiked all the way back to the tortoise breeding center 1km Here were several species of tortoises from Isabela -- breeding pairs, babies, and adolescent tortoises were there - covered pens for the 1-2 year olds, and large open air enclosures for the others.
After lunch we snorkeled with Josef in the Concha de Perla lagoon. Saw marine iguanas swimming, sea lions, rays, and several species of fish. Mostly calm, some areas of currents fun! and some really deep areas.
Day 5 - Wetlands -- a slight mix up with another set of travelers getting on the wrong tour caused a slight delay, but all good. We drove out west of town and hiked out towards the Wall of Tears. Several stops along the way for beaches, marine iguanas, and lava tunnels before we got to the tortoises. Saw 2 in the wild!
After lunch, we took a boat out to the Tintoreras Islet. On the way we saw penguins swimming with sea turtles and sea lions, and a colony of blue footed boobies close to the harbor. On Tintoreras, we hiked to the fissure where the white tipped sharks were relaxing. Tiny fissure, but filled with sharks! More than a dozen just floating around. Around the corner, we came across a beach with several adolescent sea lions and their parents. Snorkeling on the way back was in the bay and saw several sea turtles and a sea lion.
Day 6 - Back to the airport with a stop at Los Gemelos -- cool collapse craters overgrown with lush greenery. Saw a Galapagos owl here!
Overall, a great introduction to the Galapagos!!

A great way to visit the islands if you are on a budget. A very active itinerary, which I loved, allows you to maximize your time and see a lot in 6 days. Rebecca Adventure Travel does a great job and your guides help you every step of the way during your trip. You won't be disappointed!
