Neuschwanstein Castle Tour With Skip-the-line Tickets & Shuttle

Augin was incredibly kind & knowledgeable. I learned a ton about the castle & Bavaria during his portion of the tour. I truly enjoyed it.

We went to four stops to take pictures before getting to the castle which was great. One was Mary’s Bridge. Fall scenery was beautiful. Also taking the shuttle up saves time and your feet. It was a beautiful walk down through the forest though.

Augin was a wonderful guide and very knowledgeable and patient answering questions. He gave a number of tips about what to do after the actual castle tour. A very enjoyable experience.

I’m rating the price and tour through Viator. The castle is phenomenal amazing experience. It draws a million visitors a year. It’s so much cheaper to buy the tickets through the official website and you can get a bus ticket to skip the line. Inside the castle everyone who enters gets an audio tour. I did meet an amazing group of people on my tour. I also separately did the Hohenschwangau Castle which is at the bottom of the drive way. This is where king Ludwig grew up in the summers. You can do them 2-3 hours apart and have plenty of time. I would go 100%. If you have the choice idk that this tour is worth the price.

This was a great expedited tour. The bus ride up the mountain definitely saved our quads from burning out. It’s a short five minute bus ride, but probably they say an hour walk. So if you’ve got back or leg problems, definitely book this tour so you don’t have to walk up the mountain. The castle is pretty fascinating with the stories and the tour inside the Castle is maybe 30 minutes. This was a great stop with children and we got to see the bridge and everything we wanted to see and also hear a little bit about the history of Ludwig II. Our tour guide was great as English was good as German was good. And he was very personable and kept things moving along.

Great experience! Tour guide took us to all the major sights on our way to the castle and saved us a very long walk up the hill. The tour was also the only way we were able to obtain tickets in to the castle as it was sold out on the castle’s website.

We were late to the site. But our guide Algun was extemely helpful to try to and get us into the tour anyway. He was very easy to contact through the app.

Appreciated the architectural history behind the construction. Was very knowledgeable about the short life of the King and he presented it in a friendly, informal way.

The tour itself is a can’t miss activity if you are in the general area. The property is magnificent, and the history behind it very interesting.

Our experience was great. Augin was an excellent guide. He was great at explaining the history behind the castle and was eager to answer any questions regarding various topics. We also recommend to take the morning tour since the castle is less crowded and you'll have more time to take pictures and enjoy the view.

Augin was very friendly and was able to share interesting stories about Ludwig II and his family. It was easy to find him for the start of the tour and he gave us good instructions for when we were inside the castle.

We had a great tour guide called Augin. Met us punctually at the assembly point. The events that followed went so smoothly with Augin. He is such a well-organised tour guide. Shared very interesting history about the Castle and it's vicinity with the group. The whole tour was absolutely amazing. Skip the line adds value. After the tour ended, we opted for a horse-drawn cart from the Castle, down to the bus stop. A real fun ride. This tour is definitely a not-to-be missed one. Thank you Augin!

There is a good amount of walking, but the views pay off. Also, Augin the tour guide was very informative and I stayed engaged the whole time.

Guide was an excellent source of information and took us to several vantage points for photos not always apparent. Note that actual tour of the castle was by audio device and conducted by castle staff. It is run this way fo all. I would have liked our giuide tobeable to join us for additional information but this isn't how it's done.

Augin was amazing! SO knowledgable and led us to amazing spots to see the castle and take photos. He was very engaging and so sweet to my daughter, who was 1 and wanted to run and play. We highly recommend this tour and him!

Going early is critical to beat the crowds and this tour is the way to do it. Included is the shuttle bus up the majority of the hill to Marienbrücke but be aware there is a fair amount of walking on this tour (around 8000 steps recorded) with some steep sections and plenty of stairs once in the castle.

The experience was amazing. He was very knowledgeable and was very authentic. He was able to take us to many places along the route and still had plenty of time to enjoy the castle. I would highly recommend him to anyone. He has been the best tour guide we have had during our time in Germany. He was personally relatable and have attention to everyone on the tour.

Augin shared some very interesting stories and information with us on our way to the castle. He also shared some other fun things to do in the area that my son and I could enjoy on our last day in Germany.
