Overall we had a nice stay but there is definitely some room for improvement. At this price point, we have expectations and did not agree that the experience lived up to the price tag, particularly in terms of service. When we arrived, there was a half a roll of toilet paper - that was all for a four night stay. When we passed the front desk, we asked for some additional toilet paper and rather than jumping on it immediately, we were treated to a too long explanation about the rules and procedures when servicing a room where a dog is staying and were told to advise when we were going out so that our room could be serviced and toilet paper provided. Next time - send some toilet paper. It’s no big deal or better yet ensure each room has an ample supply on check in. We requested a coffeemaker in our room. I‘ve seldomly stayed at a hotel without one and again, at this price point, add the Nespresso. We discovered (again) that there is an unnecessarily complicated process for ordering replacement capsules (2€ per capsule when a capsule costs maybe 0.50) which are then delivered (unlike the toilet paper we didn’t have to pre arrange delivery, they just knocked). We found some at Edeka the next day. The room itself was well appointed and comfortable but the glasses and mugs were not refreshed. I washed them myself. I would agree with what others have said about the breakfast buffet, every day is a copy paste which gets stale. There is no offering of a fresh egg (omelette or fried), you are stuck with the very heavy, flavourless egg in a casserole dish or fried eggs covered in a thick coating of grease. Again, this is the only place we have stayed at recently that doesn’t offer a small menu of 3 or 4 fresh options. All beverages are on top of the price you have paid. There is cake but no coffee (!). Not even a juice or soda that is without charge. At breakfast there is no carafe of freshly brewed coffee, just do it yourself machines. The spa facilities are nice, the relaxation room is exceptional. The addition of a warmer hot tub would be great for after a hike. Lastly, when we arrived a very helpful gentleman brought our luggage up but at checkout there was no offer from the front desk for assistance. In fact there was no inquiry whatsoever as to whether or not we enjoyed our stay at all. We love finding new dog friendly accommodation but this one just missed the mark for us.

Spacious room in beautiful location. The hotel is a very dog friendly hotel. Service during dinner was a bit unorganized. We were allocated to sit at the corner so we were a bit forgotten. There was no recognition for birthday so we did not get even a card. The day we visitted they offered a vegetarian sushi which was the worst sushi I had ever. My suggestion is please cook your regional food which I think people expect to have that on menu. So overall I like the room, swimming pools and location but service and food should be improved.
BergBlick is like paradise on earth. I’m not sure how anyone can rate this place less than 5-stars? Everything about it is top notch, wonderful and beautiful - from the food, to the rooms, to the staff, to the bucolic setting. It’s my happiest of happy places!!
Very lonely, but stylish location right at the AT/DE border. Good & large rooms, bonne cuisine, good spa area.
