Naturhotel Waldesruhe

We have been in this hotel in total 3 times (6 nights total) over the last 2 years. It,s at a great location slightly outside the busy centre of Oberstdorf but easy to reach either by car, foot or bike. Free parking at hotel, great breakfast and afternoon Jause-Vesper (little lunch). In summer the rooms come often with free Bergbahn card (free use of the cablecars in the area, which is a good deal they are expensive if you buy a single ticket). Rooms are nice with balcony, the less expensive double rooms are really small though 19m2). Overall good hotel for a short or longer stay. Free Bergbahntickets (rooms are al little pricy but but they are included in summer) They allow dogs, in the room and at breakfast (extra charge) Reception is not always occupied, but you can call them Least expensive rooms are small, with small bathroom, and the beds are also quite small The more expensive rooms are very nice

Overall amazing visit, but few points to be considered 1- regarding check in, the front desk is only staffed until 3pm, after that they will leave an instruction paper and cards on front desk to be picked up 2- i reserved a mountain view room but got a corner one with side view, i would call it partial view not full, i was offered free uprrade to mountain front room the next day (which i declined) 3- free breakfast 8-10 which was very good with many options, they said there is free "lunch" from 2-4 but its more of snacks but there was also alot of options 4- water spring faucet available for free 5- hotel is not staffed after 3pm, dont expect someone is avaliable for towel or other accessories 6- Pool, sauna, and gym open from 8am-8pm 7- they give free access to cable cars (seilbahn) there are 5 or 6 sightining you can use it unlimited which is great value 8- Clean updates rooms 9- Very quite area with 10-15 min access to the city and access to the forest 10- I think they are over priced

The best View over Obersdorf. The staff is very polite. The breakfast is great with a view and the wellness part is also perfect only that it closes at 20:00 . The rooms look good but the bathrooms are a bit small . The owner is your best friend and will assist you in whatever problem you will encounter. It's my second time here this year. L

The apfelstrudel was very good and is selfmade. Their tea collection is also very tasty. I reccommend sitting inside next to the windows, so you can see oberstdorf and the mountains.
