Berghotel Jaegerhof

Really nice spot and very friendly staff. The food was amazing (breakfast as well as dinner), only the spa area left a bit to be desired (much smaller and older than expected).

If as hotel guest for a weekend hide out or just stepping by in the day spa a five star rating by the hotel classification definition is not what this place is but still fof from me for this 4star superior with quite a track record

This charming traditional hotel boasts a great location and generous room sizes. It also offers a range of amenities, though some, like fitness and solar power, could do with a bit of urgent attention. Rooms are currently undergoing upgrades, and we were given a pre-upgrade room, perhaps because we brought a dog. This had some issues with poor lighting, poor bathroom ventilation, and a lesser overall appeal, but hopefully, these will be sorted soon. As is common in service-focused hotels, a shortage of staff is noticeable, but the staff is generally responsive and friendly. The food is simple but well-cooked, mostly seasonal, and with themed menus. Self-service was offered on two evenings out of six days, which I’m not a fan of, but the buffet was well-managed overall. The location offers excellent views and is great for cyclists. Hikers can enjoy a small selection of walks nearby, but there are plenty more a short drive away. Overall, it’s a good place for a short break.

We recently got married at the Berghotel, and cannot have imagined a better day. My husband & I are based in the US, but have family in Germany. We needed a location that had comfortable spaces - enough for 110 guests - and a separate venue for the wedding party that people could walk to. The Berghotel was truly stunning - our guests keep telling us it is one of the most beautiful hotels they have been to. The staff was incredibly helpful and supportive and our weekend was truly magical.
