West 4x4 Experience: Skywalk, Porto Moniz Pools And Fanal Forest

We had a great time! Went in early pctober and had great weather. The day flew by but had a blast. A great way to see different parts of Madiera. Stopped for lunch with the group- that could have been a little wuicker but aside from that 10/10 Would highly suggest Was traveling eith a 5 and 6 year old too

Great day, loved the volcanic pools, beautiful scenery and jeep rollercoaster! Great guide, who was a good driver! Got a bit cool and breezy. would recommend take a warm layer to pop on. To the operator, it was difficult to hear the guide in the back of the vehicle, would have been better with a mike and speaker.

We had a fantastic day out. Andres our driver went above and beyond to make our experience amazing. All the stops were fab and Andre’s was so knowledgeable about the area. He made it so fun too. We stopped for lunch and usually the lunch stops aren’t great quality and over priced on these tours but the food and drink were quality. If you are considering booking this then do it and I really hope you are lucky enough to meet Andres.

Loved our guide, Miguel. He explained a lot about the island and is great with children.

We had a great day on Saturday with Matias. Lots of interesting facts along the way & plenty of time for swimming etc. Gave us a taster of where we would go back to for a longer stay. Can highly recommend.

Amazing day out with Vasco! Great driving skills, brought us to a few lovely additional spots, and was always willing to share his knowledge of the island.

The guide would not divert from the stops, would not stop for additional photos. Started 45mins late ended 1.5hrs early made us stop for lunch despite the group of 8 requesting not to stop. The forest is not a traditional forest and not worth stopping. Not my usual experience with Viator tours, the driver was driving very close to edge of mountains honking his horn, it was terrifying. Very limited knowledge of island, could not hear what he did say, the jeep was cramped for 8 adults Overall would not recommend this tour

We have just spent a brilliant 8 hrs on a jeep trip around the island of Madeira led by a brilliant funny and knowledgeable guide called Tony. We saw so many brilliant spots and you are never in the car more than 20-30 mins at a time - so loads of chances to stretch your legs and have a wee stop! Also a lovely lunch stop at the restaurant Jungle Rain that has a great set menu for 20 euros. A fantastic way to see the island and on roads and tracks I’d never dare take a hire car!!

Fantastic trip despite the weather. Alan was the best trip guide. Travelled with a great group. Thoroughly enjoyed the trip, even though the forest bit was very wet and cold. (But can't help the weather). The off road bit was thrilling.

Wow this tour was the most entertaining and thrilling ones I have been on. When it comes to diving on very curvy narrow and steep roads, our driver was pro. Tony was so funny, we were just laughing and holding onto the rails while he drove us everywhere. The spot we went to lunch had great food and it came with many things, expect to pay around 20-25. The time we got to swim in one of the natural pools was a bit short, but with the amount of time it takes to drive everywhere it makes sense. I am glad I did this, met great people, saw so much more of the island should I have attempted this on my own, and just had a hilarious time.

Absolutely one of the best days in Madeira - we had “TJ” as our guide. Really knowledgeable on the area as well as the questions we all asked on route. Loved off road part and the extra stops, lunch was great & local beauty spots & poncha. Thank you for a great day highly recommended

Great trip, you really get to go places in the jeep that a bus would not be able to go. Our tour guide Diago Pinto was great too. I had a great day out and would recommend to anyone visiting maderia.

Francisco guided us through an amazing day, I wish I could do it again tomorrow! It was filled with both relaxing and exciting adventures including the black sand beach and off-roading down the mountains! Ample time was given for us to enjoy each of the many many stops throughout the day. Do not miss this tour!

Big THANKS to our cool driver Mr. TONY (🤠)! A great source if informations of every town we go through and the vegetation we passed by and discovered. We had the excursion on a stormy day. Sadly we couldn't swim in the Natural pool of Porto Moniz. But we had enough sun in the morning to enjoy the open roof of the jeep. Great lunch at Jungle rain restaurant👌

João was an amazing guide. Very knowledgeable and flexible with the group. The tour itself was great! Be sure to take advantage of the first beach stop. Perfect sand and water. Go for a swim!

Well worth the money for getting to see a lot of the island in one day… our tour guide (Gil) was not only very knowledgeable about the island but so passionate and proud to show us all of the hidden treasures Madeira had to offer Great day!!

This was our favourite excursion on the island. Our guide was excellent, Diogo Pinto. He was patient and made sure everyone was ok throughout the trip, not to mention his incredible driving skills. He truly made the trip enjoyable. Definitely book it!

This was a spectacular day of exploring the island, swimming in natural pools, seeing the Fanal forest and off roaring! Ruben was a GREAT guide!! Highly recommend!!

A jam packed tour, seeing so much of the West Side of the island was wonderful. Our tour guide was friendly, funny and knowledgeable, so we had an awesome time. We really enjoyed this tour, driving around in the jeep made it all the more eventful too.

Worst experience of my life, the guide doesn't care about the comfort of the passengers, it was raining and he didn't even bother to close the top, even when asked. The cars emit a lot of smoke and as everything was open, the smoke intoxicated the passengers. The place they let us have lunch was in the middle of nowhere and there was only one restaurant, a restaurant where everything was very expensive, the employees were stupid, the food took a long time and the taste was terrible. I'm still feeling sick.

Wonderful day out. Our guide arrived promptly to collect us, and was very polite, friendly and courteous throughout. At every stop he was always making sure we were okay getting in and out of the vehicle, particularly as we sat in the back. The stops were wonderful and beautiful, we were shown stunning areas, given local knowledge, snippets of information. Our guide (sorry, we never did get his name) seemed to have a genuine passion for his job, and it really shone through. It was a brilliant day out, made even better by a wonderful guide. Couldn't have asked for more. Highly recommended.

The team was great. They took their time explaining the plan for today. We didn't feel rushed and the tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. The off route track to get to fanal was such an experience definitely a must. Unfortunately, the natural pools were closed due to high tides and maintenance but there is a public natural pool nearby the main pools which you can use it just isn't monitored but people were happily swimming there. I would recommend bringing swim wear and a light jacket/ hoodie as you approach higher up in the mountains can rain or become cooler. A tour I definitely recommend and worth the price 👍

It was a fantastic way to begin exploring Madeira. The friendly and knowledgeable tour guides/drivers made the tour fun while explaining how things work on the island. Also explaining what we were seeing and how those came to be. I can only recommend that you book their tours to the very beginning of your holiday.

The tour was wonderful. Madeira’s West is absolutely beautiful. I most enjoyed the lush green nature everywhere. The tour guide was lovely and made every effort to give us a fun, informative, and varied experience. The organization and pickup went very well. As a single traveler, I instantly felt like a part of the group. The day was filled with laughter, also thanks to the guide. All in all, I am very grateful for one day in the “Madeira clouds.” I would 100% recommend this tour.

If you want to have a tour with great views, fun information and multiple laughs that makes your belly ache get you a tour from David! Hatsee brother! Will never forget this wonderfull experience and your lovely personality. A great way to see the majority of the West Coast with amazing off roads, delicious food and must see pit stops.

It was an amazing experience with David as driver, he told us very enthusiastic about the Island. We visited places with amazing views.

We were Cruise Guests and get easy picked Up at the Cruise Terminal in the morning. A few weeks before the Trip we got an Email with all important details. Afer we get picked up, we startet the tour with the safety instruction and the introduce from the Driver TONI! We booked the full day tour with the jeep 4x4 with the open Roof. Toni got so much information for us, his English was excellent, he was so fun, and in the end, everything was perfect, and we had the best tour guide we ever met. So we can recommend Toni's tour with 10000%. Kurz nochmal auf Deutsch, Toni ist ein Mega nicer Typ, fährt seinen Jeep super sicher, ist super nett und witzig und die Tour war Mega Mega gut!!! Wir können es jedem Empfehlen!! Bucht auf jeden Fall diecTour mit dem Jeep, denn mit grossen Bussen seht ihr auf Madeira nichts.. Toni hält auch überall an wo ihr wollt, macht Fotos mit euch usw. Rundum nur zu empfehlen!

I have selected that this was a family trip (teens)...as this was the closest to my situation of bringing my wife and two kids who are in early twenties. I wanted two things out of this experience. Firstly, to see more of the beautiful island of Madeira and secondly, to have some excitement and a great time that the family could share and talk about afterwards....I got both! Thanks Tony for making the day really memorable...I won't forget your laugh and you saying how much you enjoyed your job as you took us down roads and tracks I wasn't expecting...even my wife enjoyed the trip...at least when she opened her eyes....

Booked this up with Tui before we arrived , 4x4 day of 8 hours , was great to see these land rovers in action, highlights were the lava pools ( swimming a must ) at Porto Moniz and seeing the full clouds from above the valley , you could stand there forever and see this. Fantastic experience with the driver/guide Nelson. He made the tour in 3 languages (English, French and Portuguese). We had a spectacular day, we visited all the points we wanted to see. The open ceiling ride was simply spectacular and the driving with a lot of adrenaline. I recommend and would reserve again. Thank you!

It was a super nice tour. The driver “T” a super sympathetic person with an honest and friendly manner. Even the initial difficulties (delays due to traffic) were quickly forgotten due to its loose and open nature. All around a successful day, gladly again.

In the morning we were picked up on time by our guide Gil. He has told and told a lot with passion, really involved! He knows his business and adapts to whoever's riding with him. Very welcoming and you can see he likes to do it! The trip was super interesting and fun partly because of Gil!

This day was one of the best of our holidays! Ruben came to pick us up and let's have an amazing day with him! In barely one day we can visit the most beautiful places of the island of wood. With Ruben we laugh a lot. She is an amazing Cover, very friendly, with a sense of humor and above all knows the island like no one else. The kids loved riding a jeep in the middle of the bush and the narrow streets of the island. Thank you again to see Ruben and Enterprise True Spirit for this amazing tour!
