Transfer To Pr1 - From Pico Do Arieiro To Pico Ruivo

We had a great experience with Levadas In And Out! We did four hikes over one week as a group of 10, and everything went smoothly. Communication was excellent, timings were always as promised, and we received all the information we needed to prepare for each hike. A special mention to Vitor, who was a great driver – always friendly, helpful and easy to communicate with. We really enjoyed the experience and would happily recommend Levadas In And Out to anyone planning hiking trips in Madeira!

We had a great experience with this company and booked both our hiking transfers with them. Prior communication was super and we received very clear instructions where to meet as we were coming off a cruise ship. Our driver Flávio was fantastic. It’s more of a tour than just a transfer. He gave us lots of information about life in Madeira, pointed out landmarks, gave some hints and tips and his English was first class. Once at the hikes, he gave us some route guidance and we had plenty time to complete so never felt rushed. Next time we’re in Madeira, I’ll be booking with them again for sure. An absolutely incredible day! Fabio was great, really knowledgeable about all the hikes and the island in general. Punctual and professional service all the way. If you want to do the hikes but don't want to be part of a large, guided group then this is perfect. You get the freedom to explore as you want, but safe in the knowledge that all transport is arranged and that help is on hand if needed. We were collected from our accommodation and taken to the start point where Fabio talked us through the hike, things to look for, and general advice. Once the hike was finished, he was waiting at a pre arranged meetup point which meant we avoided all the coaches and the busy car park. I can't recommend these guys enough. Hopefully we'll be back soon for the PR8 hike. Thank you!

Wonderful organization to a beautiful day! The company helped us secure our tickets to a sold out hike (PR1) which just reopened after 2 years. It was impossible to get tickets on the government site and this team helped secure the tickets for us allowing us to go on the amazing hike!!! Of course they also picked us up and took us to the trail head and back home after. Andre the driver had amazing English and was very funny. He also showed us some good Portuguese music. A wonderful day!

Our driver Fabio picked us up at the hotel, before he sent us a picture of the car and communicated/ confirmed his arriving time once more. We were super happy with the great communication during the day. Everything went smoothly and we had a wonderful day exploring the two peaks.

I had a great experience with this company. Our driver, Fabio, was punctual and arrived exactly on time for the pickup at my hotel. He brought us to the first hiking route and took the time to clearly explain the trail and what we could expect. After the hike, he picked us up at the exact time we agreed on and drove us to the second route. Again, he took the time to explain everything well and made sure we knew where to go. He was also perfectly on time for the final pickup. Overall, it was an amazing and very well-organized experience. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful day of hiking with Levadas In & Out. Our driver João was waiting for us at the agreed pick up point. He was very knowledgeable & highlighted some interesting places & facts along the hour long journey to the first hike. We then had another hour drive to the 2nd hike, again, all made query easy for us! Reasonably priced, highly recommend this personal service. 3 of us on our trip but max 6 which we prefer to a bigger group.

This tour I joined only consists of two customers, including me. Still, they didn't cancel it due to the low number of customers. It's good. Transportation is on time. The car is comfortable. Instruction is very clear. Unfortunately, the wildfire in August, 2024 has damaged a part of the trail, which was mentioned on the website here. This is a great experience. However, this travelling agent didn't remind me that this hiking trail charge visitors €3 (Dec, 2024), maybe for the protection of endangered Madeira petrel and maintenance of the trail.

Great service from Funchal to Pico Areeiro and then from Achada de Teixeira to Funchal. Our questions were promptly replied on WhatsApp. On time arrival and departure of our driver. He also gave away important information while driving, you could ask questions at any time without it becoming uncomfortable. It all worked smoothly. I highly recommend.

vitor is a cautious auteur They made him do an extra service during the 2 hours scheduled x get on and off Pico Ruivo and then I waited for his return x half, hour In the meantime, fortunately, I had other clothes and could take off my wet clothes at the shelter where in the meantime I drank a hot coffee

We are very satisfied with our trip and with our driver. He was very punctual and very friendly. It was a nice trip, we enjoyed it.

Unfortunately, the hike between Pico Ruivo and Pico do Ariero is still closed, so you can only walk part of the route from both starting points. Nevertheless, the views were breathtaking! The hike consists of many steps, which was sometimes very strenuous. We went with a transfer to Pico Ruivo, got 2:15 h there for the hikes, which was a bit short for us. After that we were picked up there immediately and drove 1 h further to Pico do Ariero. Here we had 2 hours, which was very well done! I would definitely recommend the tour, our riders said that it might be fully reopened in the summer.
