Absolutely fantastic service; my son (13) and I are completely thrilled. Help is available at any time, they are always ready to listen to questions, and the organization is top-notch. We booked a second excursion immediately afterward, and if I were staying on the island longer, I would have booked even more. The next time I’m on the island, I’ll be booking exclusively through "Levada In and Out." It’s so straightforward, and you don’t have to keep pace with a group. We had the pleasure of meeting two different drivers, both of whom were incredibly friendly and informative.

First off, Flávio was an incredible guide and shared a lot of history on Madeira and provided insight into places to see on the island during my stay. Pickup from the hotel and posthike were very punctual. I ran into issues with booking a Simplifica ticket (the website that allows users to book hiking licenses in Madeira) and Levadas In and Out quickly and professionally resolved my concern, enabling me to go on the hike. Would recommend Levadas In and Out to anyone looking for help with Madeira travel and hiking logistics.

Even though we booked the tour at the very last minute, Vitor went above and beyond by securing our time slots the evening before, despite them already being fully booked. From start to finish, he was always available, kept us well informed about every step of the tour, and made sure everything ran perfectly. Vitor truly listened to our wishes and tailored the experience to our preferences. He also shared countless helpful tips and insider recommendations that made our stay on Madeira even more enjoyable. Throughout the entire tour, he was calm, friendly, professional, and incredibly accommodating. The tour itself was simply breathtaking, with spectacular views and unforgettable scenery. Terrible experience, even more terrible communication with the company. They said it would last 4 hours but it was 6 due to the pick up location that were not on the way. Instead of 30 min drive we spent 1 hour in the car. Activity provider didn’t think it would be great to inform us in advance. We would not be able to make it to our next booked activity so we had to take a taxi back, the activity provider is not willing to communicate the issue and not willing to make any compensation. You can take a taxi and it will be half the price of this trip.

I arranged for several days of hiking transfers from our hotel to various trailheads across the island. This service was prompt, dependable and accommodating for a group of 16 hikers. We were met with smiles each morning and given good instructions and timeframes to complete our hikes. Extremely pleased with the service.

I recommend the tour with Rodrigo. A very nice, helpful and punctual driver, he shares interesting facts along the way and is happy to answer questions. The peninsula is absolutely beautiful, and the route is a bit challenging but doable. The trip was great!

The driver was punctual, however we planned our day around the 3.5 hours stated in the description. We thought that was the door-to-door duration. It took 40 minutes to get to the trailhead and the driver said he would pick us up in 3.5-4 hours. Considering it would take another 40 minutes to return to town, we were nervous we would miss our cruise departure so didn’t end up doing the hike and returned to town with the driver. The stated time on the tour description should be 5-5.5 hours door-to-door and specify that the time at the park would be 3.5-4 hours.

I had a great experience hiking the PR8 trail! The views are magnificent, and the hike takes around 3 hours, including rest breaks and photo stops. The timing was perfect: I could take my time, enjoy the scenery, and still finish a bit earlier. We were lucky with the weather during the hike, but it got a bit windy afterwards, so it’s good to be prepared for changing conditions. The transfer was excellent as well, the driver/guide Fábio arrived on time and he was very friendly and polite, gave all the necessary instructions and tips, and answered all our questions. Communication was smooth and easy from start to finish.

Fabio was great. We liked that he sent us a photo of his car so we knew who to look out for with so many trips leaving from the hotel. He was on time for both ends of the transfer and picked me up from outside the marina when I decided to return by boat

Joao picked us on time. Gave us ample time to walk at our own pace. Came 30 min earlier than pick up time. Group was done by them and off we head back to Funchal . Recommended if u just need a transfer !

We booked the transfer to Ponta de São Lourenço and were very happy with the service. Our driver Vitor was very kind, drove us safely to the starting point and gave us a few helpful words about the hike. The scenery along the trail was stunning and the time given until pick-up was more than sufficient. Everything went smoothly – highly recommended!

That is a wonderful hike. It was raining the day before and in the morning, so the first part of the trail was as slippery as an ice rink. When the rain stopped, and sun began to shine it got a little drier, making it easier to follow. The views are unforgettable, really worth going. The car was small, but clean and comfortable. I was meant to be picked up from my apartment, but instead had to walk to the bus stop nearby Cable Car in Funchal, while some old Germans were picked up from the door of their hotel in the village on the road to Sao Laurenco. This is not exactly the part of the deal, that's why it is not five star review. Despite this little inconvinience the tour is worth a recommendation.

Was a really great experience with a wonderful scenery. Our driver Cristiano was also really experienced and very friendly to all passengers. Can definitely recommend taking a transfer, as the parking lot is a complete mess with all rental cars during high seasons.
