Pico do Arieiro, the island’s third-highest peak and one of Madeira’s most iconic landmarks. Once we arrive, you’ll have 30 minutes to explore freely, breathe in the crisp mountain air, and soak up the dramatic landscapes that stretch as far as the eye can see. Wander along the viewpoints, capture unforgettable photos above the clouds, and take in the incredible rock formations carved by nature. This short but magical stop sets the tone for an unforgettable day, offering a perfect introduction to Madeira’s raw beauty before we continue the journey.

During the tour, you will stop in Ribeiro Frio, a peaceful mountainous village surrounded by lush forest. Here, you’ll have time to relax at a local café, enjoy a freshly brewed coffee, and take in the fresh air and scenic views before continuing the journey through Madeira’s stunning landscapes.

After enjoying a relaxing break at the local bar, we continue our journey toward Cova da Roda, where the adventure takes an exciting turn. As we leave the village behind and climb deeper into the mountains, the scenery becomes wilder and more untouched. This is where the off-road fun begins. Our 4x4 will take you along rugged tracks carved through the forest, offering a thrilling and immersive ride through Madeira’s natural beauty. With sweeping views, fresh mountain air, and the feeling of true exploration, the off-roading experience at Cova da Roda adds a dynamic and adrenaline-filled moment to your day, showcasing a side of the island that few visitors ever get to see.

From Cova da Roda, we continue the adventure with a little more off-road driving, taking you deeper into Madeira’s untouched wilderness. The trail becomes narrower and more exciting as we navigate through dense forest, winding paths and fresh mountain air. This final stretch of off-road leads us to one of the island’s hidden gems: the stunning Água d’Alto waterfall. Surrounded by lush greenery and the peaceful sound of flowing water, this secluded spot offers a magical moment to pause, take photos, and appreciate Madeira’s natural beauty. It’s a perfect blend of adventure and serenity, making this stop one of the highlights of your journey.

After the serene beauty of the Água d’Alto waterfall, we head to the charming village of Santana, where your adventure continues with a delicious lunch. Here, you’ll enjoy authentic Madeiran flavours in a relaxed and welcoming setting, refueling for the next part of the day. After lunch, you’ll have the chance to explore the village and admire its famous traditional Santana houses—colourful triangular homes with iconic thatched roofs that reflect Madeira’s rich rural heritage. Wander through this picturesque setting, capture memorable photos, and immerse yourself in the island’s culture and history, making Santana a perfect blend of flavour, tradition, and discovery.

After exploring the charming village of Santana, we continue our journey to the dramatic cliffs of Miradouro do Guindaste. This stunning viewpoint offers panoramic views over Madeira’s rugged coastline and the endless expanse of the Atlantic Ocean. Here, you can step onto the glass platform, feel the thrill of standing above the cliffs, and take in the breathtaking scenery that stretches as far as the eye can see. It’s a moment of awe-inspiring beauty and a perfect photo opportunity, capturing the wild and untamed side of the island.
