Private Monte And Taboggan Ride Tour

I couldn't do the toboggan due to the rain, Margarita drove me all over the city. She was friendly and very knowledgeable. Great tour!

John , out guide, was fantastic . He was so friendly and knowledgeable. He was willing to wait while we queued for the toboggan but , as it was cancelled due to weather , he took us to see what we wanted to see in Funchal.

Very informative, our guide had a great knowledge of the island. Went out of his way to point out all buildings of importance. Answered all our questions.

Toboggan ride was fantastic! And that took took are a great way to see the city. Thiago was a great guide and very knowledgeable.

John was great and showed us a lot of the island and was warm and friendly.

Pedro was a great host driving up the steep hills and narrow streets in his TukTuk pointing out all the famous landmarks and giving us interesting titbits about the area. We managed to beat the queue for the famous toboggan ride which was fun! We must return to eat the local black scabbard!

We had a lovely ride around the town with Maggie a lovely young lady who was very knowledgeable and friendly. Great little trip for getting your bearings around Madeira

A good time Gonzalo was knowledgeable about the island and we enjoyed the sleds We got there around 10 and the wait for the sled was 75 minutes. Gonzalo waited for us in the line so we could see the church at the top If I were doing it again I would book the cable car combo with the sled

Picked up on time, though they contacted us 24hrs before to move the time back 3hours. We then were driven to Monte where the toboggan leaves from. The driver Davide did mention a few times that they were cruise ships in and we should maybe consider taking the cable car back down. We found the wait for the toboggan was going to be 90mins. He said he can wait for 30mins then time is up and it would be 20euros an hour. They seemed to be no tour of Monte just a straight drive to the toboggan, he didn’t offer a 30min tour then we could make our own way back after the ride. A taxi to take us here would of cost no more than 20 euros. Really really disappointed. Been on another tour with a rival and a completely different experience.

Good value for money. Tuk tuk is a great way to see Funchal. Our driver was very interesting. I'd recommend this trip.

Lovely way to experience the tabbogan ride without any hassle, collected from our hotel and returned.

Our guide was the lovely Margarida who took us up to Monte, walked with us to the ticket office for the toboggan and made sure we knew where to go. The toboggan was fun and we were lucky as there were no long queues. Our guide met us at the end and as we still had time she took us to a local bakery to try the Cheesecake. It was unique. She then took us to a fortress which had a lovely view of Funchal. Overall a lovely morning.

We had the pleasure of having the same tour guide, Joao, as we had with our first tukxi tour. This Tobaggon ride was awesome and so much fun! Joao as usual went above and beyond, helped us get our tickets for the ride then stood in line for us so we could look around the property to get nice photos. He waited for us at the bottom of the hill after the ride then allowed us to do a little souvenir shopping at the tobaggon ride shop. We left there then he showed us more places to eat on the way back to our hotel. I would highly recommend this guide, he tailors any tour he gives to the personalities of his clients. Super tour and guide!!!

Perfect way of getting there and back from the toboggans. Met us straight outside our cruise ship and waiting for us at the end of the toboggan run to pick us up. Happy to drop us in town or back at the ship. Our driver was lovely and very informative. Would definitely use again next time we're in Madeira.

We went up to Monte in our tuktuk and would highly recommend this way to get to the toboggans. Our driver Joan was excellent - friendly and very knowledgeable. He collected us promptly from our hotel and even waited in the toboggan queue for us to allow us to visit the church while we waited. He met us at the end of the run and took us back to Funchal where he recommended some bars and restaurants. Thank you Joan!

This was a great experience and one I highly recommend! We were met at our cruise ship and driven around some of the most beautiful places I have seen. Our driver/guide (Wilson) was friendly and very knowledgeable about his city. I'm sure we got to see parts in Funchal that you can't see from a bus or a car given how narrow the streets are. If I go back to Funchal, I'll be sure to book with them again to see the eastern part of the city.

Our tour of Monte and the downtown area of Funchal was amazing! Joao is a fantastic and knowledgeable guide. Monte is absolutely stunning. We chose not to take the toboggan and instead spent more time visiting the gardens as it is so breathtaking and peaceful.

We received ppenty of suggestions and insights in the layout of the city. The driver was flexible as we had to end our tour 30 min earlier. Despite that, we still made the most out of it.

Fantastic tour of Funchal! Wilson is amazing and super knowledgeable. His English is perfect too. He’s also quite funny. Highly recommend this tour, especially from Wilson.

We took a simple ride from CR7 to the ship. The driver suggested that for 10 Euro, he could take us back into town and then on to the ship - This seemed like a great idea and added an extra 10-15 minutes to our trip. This was a fab way to finish our day. Thanks

Really great experience, you get to see much more of the City and learn about it from a local resident as part of the experience than you would by taking a taxi or making your own way around. Would definitely recommend this experience for anyone visiting Funchal!

Really nice tour with pick up from Savoy Palace Hirel up to Monte and then sled ride with Tuk Tuk drop off in Old Town. Very knowledgeable and friendly driver guide Tiego who also gave us a fine recommendation for Lunch. Would really recommend this company 5 Star 😀👍

....when you travel in this type of vehicle. No problem in climbing up to the Monte Palace via the smaller back streets of Funchal...a bit more interesting. Felt safe and, with a good driver, no issues over road safety. Would recommend and would use again for another trip in future.

Booked the Monte Tour for 1.5 hours. Driver John was top and gave us a lot of interesting information, in English, German is not possible. Waited in Monte when we went to church! Unfortunately the sleigh ride was not possible, John would have picked us up at the end! Flexibly made another tour of the city for it. Highly recommended.

Very nice experience with my 12 year old daughter, very friendly driver. Feedback on the route helped to learn about the area. To renew.
