I went to this trip to find out how Madeira looks like from the top. If you want to see different places (check the list of the places) in one day, but without driving by yourself, you want to join just couple of ppl (not the whole bus of strangers), you want to taste some alcoholic local drinks in the best locations, then you should try this safari 4x4. To see all locations clearly, choose an appropriate weather. We had a young experienced driver named Pedro. He tried his best to show us around, always gave us options and opportunities to take pictures and videos. Even by himself he’s a decent cameraman. We had a nice group and enjoyed it a lot.
We did East Madeira Tour and West Madeira Tour and it is a perfect choice if you have up to 7 days in Madeira, and anyway a great experience! Guide Silva was so nice, helpful, gave us interesting tips and information and we have visited almost a whole island in just two days. Highly recommend!
My husband and I had a lovely relaxed day totally in the hands of Andre. We saw natural wonders, he took us to fantastic viewing points and we saw original thatched houses in Santana. He was not fearful to go off track and down tiny roads seeing residential areas up close. He was very knowledgable and enthusiastic. A good guide.
Thanks to Francisco, we experienced breathtaking views, local traditions, and places far from the usual tourist routes. Everything was well planned and very enjoyable.
From start to finish, everything was perfect. André was professional, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable. We discovered places we would have never found on our own. Highly recommended!
If you want to really understand Madeira go with Andre, this kid is out of the box, really knows this island. Thank you Andre for such a great day
Our Safari tour was a real highlight on the island days. He took us through hídden paths and shared lots of knowledge. Thank you Andre
One of the best days I’ve had on Madeira! André was incredible, super friendly and knew everything about the island. The group vibe was great and the route was stunning. I’m definitely booking again in August.
A beautiful tour where you see a lot of the island. Our driver and guide Mateus was super nice and shared a lot of interesting facts. I can recommend the tour without reservation!
We, a family of 4, 2 boys aged 12 and 14, booked the east tour to Pico do Areeiro via getyourguide. Our tour guide Silva picked us up at the hotel on time, was very accommodating, friendly, and the communication beforehand was also very good. The day was really just wonderful from A to Z. Silva obviously has a huge amount of knowledge about the country and its people, takes you to spots that are less touristy and beautiful, and is also very helpful with questions outside of the tour. At the stops, you always have an appropriately sufficient amount of time to marvel at the magnificent landscapes and take the photos you want. During the drive, we always felt safe, meaning that during the short off-road sequences as well as in regular traffic, Silva has a very pleasant driving style, the boys even said so ;). Thank you for the magnificent day with the many insights about Madeira If you are thinking about booking a tour, do it through SafariCo, price/performance is all top-notch and highly recommended!
