4x4 Full-day Tour To Explore Portugal's Scents And Flavors

Absolutely brilliant day from start to finish!! Our tour guide (I can’t remember her name) was so full of knowledge about the island, was genuinely interested in making our experience a memorable one, and so pleased we got to spend the day visiting areas we wouldn’t have otherwise known about! Our guide took us to a couple of extra stops as we were making good time which was a wonderful added bonus. We were a group of 5 in the 4x4 and the only ones on the tour which made it so much more personalised too. Plenty of time at each stop to look around and explore without feeling rushed either which can usually be the case for organised tours. Also the off roading part of the trip was so much fun! We were able to stand up in the 4x4 for the duration, and arrived at such a peaceful setting for the scenery and a little exploration, before setting off back to the main roads again. Highly recommend this tour and company For a fantastic experience and also value for money too.

We had an absolutely fantastic trip with Green Devil Safari in Madeira. Our guide José Escaleira made the experience truly special. He gave us such rich explanations and stories about all the different sights and places, which really brought everything to life. They were so patient and made sure our day was one of our favorite memories of the entire year. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to see breathtaking scenery mixed with the fun and excitement of twisty off-road driving. The great rum tasting at the end was the perfect finish and left us wanting more. We’re already looking forward to doing it again next time.

Great Tour with Eddie - we had a mixed group of nationalities and Eddie conversed in both French and English to make sure all the group was included. Great knowledge and driving from Eddie with fun off road driving and amazing food at a restaurant recommended by Eddie. We booked this trip through Lido tours - all very professional and great value for money.

Fantastic trip with our guide Jose whose love for his island shone through. He explained the history of the island and was a great guide to the plant life. Taking us up roads that would be tracks anywhere else we had an exhilarating ride through to the top of the mountains above the clouds before dropping into Funal and seeing centuries old trees. Then went to port Funiz for a 3 course lunch with wine for just €18 per head with a chance to swim before going to a further swimming area. If you get the chance do swim it was wonderful. Arrived back at the hotel after a fantastic 8 hours trip. Would recommend this northwest trip totally and Jose was superb. Thanks again for the highlight of our holiday.

Had an amazing day with Miguel (tattoo) on the full day east tour. He gives a lot of information and gives a fun twist on everything. The tour was everything we expected and more! He made sure we have seen everything, and we had so much fun (he is a funny guy). Overall an amazing experience and would totally book it again!!

We took full day tour to North West of Madeira with 6 friends, it was incredible experience and definitely a highlight of our trip. The views were stunning and we saw so many different things in one day. My favorite was the beach with volcanic black sand. Our tour guide Jose was caring, funny and made us very comfortable! I stayed in February for a week in Madeira. During this week the weather was unfortunately not so ideal. I booked two different tours with Green Devil Safari that offer different half days and full day tours. I booked the Enchanted Terraces as well as the Scents & Flavours tour. On both tours Nelson was our driver and guide. It was fun as he is a fun person that likes to joke and knows his island by heart. He is knowledgeable in the nature and landscape and likes to share his knowledge. The tour is definitely to recommend. Despite the weather, I spent two great days getting to know the island a bit. Thanks to Nelson.

We did 2 different tours with this company. The first one was the Enchanted terraces and we were lucky enough to have Val as our guide. Knowledgeable, funny, having a good pace throughout the trip. The off-road part was so much fun! The second tour was the northeast - scents and flavours - tour and we were not that lucky. We had booked an English speaking tour but our guide was a guy from Venezuela (can't remember his name) who hardly spoke basic English. He was a good driver but it was very hard to understand him, he didn't give us any valuable information regarding the visited places and the island in general. He also wasn't able to answer basic questions that we asked him.

I went with my mom. It was a fantastic tour! We got to see a lot in a day. My friends were blown away by all the amazing things I got to see. It was such an adventure. I had Greg as my guide and he was fantastic. Really knew a lot about the history, the birds, etc. He was also very accommodating and super patient. Him and his wife are hilarious together. Overall, we saw a lot of Madeira and I was mesmerized by the beauty of it all. It was totally worth the money - if anything, this was the highlight of my trip. I’m also happy they are supporting local businesses and not taking commission from the businesses they take us to - so you know the food, drinks, whatever it is, are all amazing! One thing I do want to mention, part of the ride is safari and so expect a bumpy ride. I was fine with it but I could see how it could cause some sickness. So heads up.

The green devil brought us on places we could not reach ourselfes. With humor hospitality and enthousasm the driver Nelson showed us many flowers and beauifull places far from the tourist attractions. He showed us the real nature of madeira. The green devil contributed to make our holiday a succes. Obrigada Nelson.

We had a whole day tour, just the 2 of us. We learned a bit more about Madeira as this wasn’t our first time. Our guide showed us places in addition that were not tourist oriented. We explored the island from another perspective thanks to our guide who was really polite and welcoming. Thank you for a great day!

We booked full day tour with the Green DEvil Safari tour with the 4x4 defender jeep. It was simply amazing as we did the route, which normal car could not drive through or discovered. Hugo, the Guide/Driver is an experienced Guide has the abilities to tell the story of flora and fauna, indepth back ground of Madeira and he drives excellent as well. As a whole this was beyond expectation adventure safari, it is worth for the value of money you given for. I give him 5 Stars for this. Excellent Tour

Hi Guys What can I say, yet another great experience, not just the trips but the people you attract. I spent a day with a 30ish German guy who was employed by the German Government to talk to kids in school about their future career, look out uk, the Brexit challenge. Then next trip out, met an economist from Chile, employed by a private university in Chile to do research, and was in Lisbon and on a weekend away. On both occasions at the age of 66 I had lunch and discussed the world around us (they were both under the age of 30) and as a bonus I saw all the island with guides who were so knowledgeable about the island. The other group were an Americam family, sisters I think, one couple owned a zoo, didn't want them to feel left out, great people. Fernandos, I'll send you some light bulbs if you woud let me know the part numbers! God willing I will be back in 2019, amd I look forward to seeing you all Can you send me the photos you said you would?

If you have the opportunity to visit Funchal, Madiera this is a must! Nuno is am absolute professional who knows his island and also knows how to have fun! We were 3 adults and 2 teens. Once we got up into the mountains and off road, the roof was peeled back and the kids stood up. There were more screams of laughter and pure joy from them! The sights are breathtaking, our guide Nuno was a total pleasure. We are going to look at coming back for an extended vacation to see more!!

I highly recommend this tour, my husband and I had a fantastic day. We were collected on time from our hotel by Luis our driver for the day. The group consisted of five adults and 1 small child. We were taken to some fantastic view points, some of which were only accessible by dirt track and a 4 x 4 vehicle. Luis was an excellent driver and we felt safe at all times. He was really good with the small child and made sure everyone enjoyed the day, he is a definite asset to the company. We really enjoyed the open top journey, and will use this company again next time we visit. Thank you for a memorable day.

<p>The tour was as described and it was simply wonderful! We spent a full day with Spencer, our driver and guide as well, travelling from Funchal to Ponta Delgada through the mountains and than through some communities, including Boa Ventura, Arco de Sāo Jorge and Cabanas, passing gardens, forest landscapes and old fashioned architecture along the way. In the town of Santana, stop to see the typical thatched houses, then get a spectacular view of Ponta de São Lourenço and explore Porta da Cruz and Caniçal. During our trip we had also off-road routes so we could see better the forest landscapes.<br/> Spencer is a great guy, he is very knowleageable. He knows a lot of things about the island, its history, landscapes, flora and fauna and he speaks perfectly English, German and Portuguese.<br/> We stopped regularly at the interest points to see and to learn really interesting things about this beautiful island.<br/> Thank you!</p>

Travel through the trails, from the east to the south of the North to the west of Madeira. With an exceptional attendant, who uses languages perfectly (and even with animals😉) I highly recommend this outing, do not hesitate to ask Lino, he will guide you with his beautiful 4x4.

Very nice tour to very nice places in the north and east of the island. Tour was very well organized. The guide still has to learn the tour, so usually only on the stops Worth knowing through the 2nd. Get a guide. Recommended as a provider in any case. The tour is also great. All tours read great -- so book according to your own preferences or just do them all. Oh -- and the lunch is worth it -- price/performance is right or just take a sandwich. In the place Santana eating out, you can also, you don't have to!:-)

Abseits von Touristenrouten erhielten wir einen Einblick in das Leben Madeiras und konnten ein leckeres einheimisches Mittagessen genießen. Wir würden bei einem erneuten Besuch der Insel wieder Green Devil buchen!

We spent two full days on a Green Devil excursion in a professional setting. We were able to discover the island in 4x4 convertible. What happiness, nothing to say everything was perfect! From organization to discoveries made. Being able to take trails in Madeira allows you to discover the island from another angle and adrenaline in addition. Cabo Girao, Pico do Arieiro, Camara de Lobos, Porto Moniz, Santana etc... all guided by the excellent and adorable Hugo. In short I recommend 100% this provider for your visits!

Firmę można śmiało polecić. Bardzo profesjonalne podejście , dobre trasy, dobra znajomość wyspy, operatorzy elegancko mówili po angielsku. Łącznie brałem udział w trzech wycieczkach z tą firmą i w zasadzie wszystko było super może poza jedną wycieczką z francuzami gdzie przewodnik trochę bardziej starał się im dogodzić jak anglojęzycznej części wycieczki. Natomiast wycieczki z Gregiem i Juanem były super. Na pewno jest to opcja warta rozważenia jeśli chodzi o zwiedzanie wyspy. Wycieczka o nazwie scents & flavours jest wyśmienita , świetne widoki , fajny off road itd.
