Quinta Jardins Do Lago

It was our first time visiting the island, and we were absolutely delighted with the hotel. Since it was also our first vacation of this kind, we were a little confused and overwhelmed at the beginning.Nevertheless, the hotel staff were mostly friendly and patient with us. After a few days we had settled in, and we truly started to enjoy everything. The rooms are beautiful, clean, and well maintained. Overall, the atmosphere throughout the hotel is wonderful. The biggest highlight was, of course, the turtle that roams around the garden. It is obvious that it is very well cared for, and despite the presence of many guests, the animal does not seem stressed at all. The second highlight was the food. I have to say that I have never eaten as well as I did during our stay at this hotel. The breakfast offers a great variety. While some items are available every day, the pastries and fruits change regularly. There are also different freshly squeezed fruit juices, so there is truly something for everyone. However, we were even more impressed by the dinner. You could immediately tell that the food was of exceptionally high quality. At the same time, it was fresh, healthy, and prepared with real, high-quality ingredients. We will definitely come back in a few years. Greetings from Germany!

We had lunch at the pool bistro and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The setting is absolutely beautiful, with stunning gardens and a peaceful atmosphere that makes it a wonderful place to relax. The food was good and we enjoyed our meal, although we have had even better food elsewhere on the island. That said, the beautiful surroundings and relaxing ambience more than made up for it. The hotel itself looked elegant, tranquil, and exceptionally well maintained. It definitely felt like the kind of place where you could unwind for a few days, and it's somewhere I would happily consider staying on a future visit. Overall, a lovely spot for a leisurely lunch in a gorgeous setting.

Probably the best property in Madeira. So cozy and welcoming. No kids, no loud music or bars, great for travelers who came to enjoy peaceful nature of the island. It’s literally inside the lush botanical garden, so you don’t feel that you are in Funchal city at all. Great, large swimming pool, outdoor jacuzzi, all rooms have lovely view of the gardens. Incredibly well trained front office and F&B stuff. Spa is amazing, I went twice during my stay for a full body massage and facial and I wish I went even more. I highly recommend you booking your massage after the flight or a long hike. Plenty of free parking in the hotel, super convenient if you are renting a car. Very friendly and hard working housekeeping stuff. Loved the lunch and dinner menu, tuna steak sandwich was so yummy we ordered it three times. The only thing me and my husband did not really like is breakfast menu, specially everything with the eggs, it just did not taste good at all. Breakfast buffet works out well though, and location of the restaurant is amazing right inside the garden. I can’t wait to be back❤️

From the very first contact to the end of the evening, everything was handled with exceptional professionalism and care. The service was truly outstanding. The team paid attention to every detail, made the entire planning process smooth and stress-free, and even prepared several wonderful surprises that made the celebration even more special. What impressed us most was how easy and enjoyable it was to work with the staff. Every request was handled promptly, communication was excellent, and we felt genuinely cared for throughout the whole experience. Organizing an important event can often be stressful, but with Akinta Jardim da Água it was nothing but pure pleasure. Our guests were delighted, and the birthday celebration exceeded all expectations. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team.
