We really enjoyed our stay at Pestana Casino Studios in Funchal. The location is excellent, right next to the Casino da Madeira and the iconic five-star Pestana Casino Park hotel, designed by Oscar Niemeyer. There are plenty of restaurants, bars and other services within walking distance, making it a very convenient base for exploring Funchal. One of the advantages is being able to use facilities and services at the neighbouring hotel, including breakfast. A nice bonus that adds to the overall experience. The only downside is parking. Finding a space nearby can be difficult, but with a little patience, it's usually possible to find somewhere in the surrounding streets. Overall, a very pleasant stay. Great location, convenient facilities and a hotel I would happily return to.

We are incredibly happy that we chose your hotel for our first experience on this beautiful and magical island. Everything was amazing! The staff were so kind, polite, attentive, and welcoming. The rooms were beautiful, cozy, and comfortable, the swimming pools were fantastic, and the breakfasts were absolutely delicious. Every morning was a pleasure! ☀️🥹 We felt comfortable and cared for throughout our stay and enjoyed every moment of our holiday. Thank you to the entire team for your hospitality, kindness, and for making our first trip to Madeira so special and unforgettable. We enjoyed our 6-night stay at the hotel in an upper-floor room with a sea view, although the view was quite limited. The room was kept very clean by the housekeeping staff, who also replaced the towels regularly. The pillows and beds were very comfortable. Breakfast at the nearby Pestana Casino Park Hotel was very good, with a wide variety of options. We were also able to enjoy all the facilities and we particularly enjoyed the spa. Lots of good restaurants nearby I deducted a star for two reasons. First, there were a lot of ants inside the refrigerator, which also barely cooled, making it practically unusable. Second, the shower needs some maintenance: it takes a very long time for the water to drain properly, and the showerhead sprays water outside the shower area, leaving the bathroom floor wet after almost every shower.
We stayed in this Appart hotel for 1 week. I must recognise personnel is very friendly , especially Helder who was helpful and prompt in our requests of support. Pool downstairs is nice and calm. Buffet at dinner is of high quality. The only drawback from our point of view is the kitchen having only one cooker and not many stoves, cutleries and pans for anything more than just a small and quick breakfast.

Cons The overall experience did not fully match our expectations. Housekeeping was inconsistent, and the room was not always cleaned to the standard we expected. The bedding was quite rough, while the pillows and duvets were not particularly comfortable. There was visible mould in the shower area, which was disappointing. The hotel is also quite noisy due to the nearby restaurants and bars. This can be convenient if you enjoy having nightlife close by, but it is a disadvantage for guests looking for a quiet stay. The photos on the website appear significantly brighter and more vibrant than the actual rooms, which creates somewhat unrealistic expectations. Overall, the stay was acceptable thanks to the location and the excellent reception staff. However, we paid around €2,000 for a 10-night stay, and for that price we expected a higher level of comfort, better housekeeping standards and greater attention to detail.
