Allegro Madeira - Adults Only

We stayed here in 2024 and absolutely loved it, so we were really looking forward to returning — and this stay was just as memorable. From the friendly and welcoming staff to the superb food, everything was fantastic. Our room was cleaned to an exceptionally high standard every day, and the attention to detail was excellent. The poolside menu was extensive without being overly complicated, with plenty of choice. The Allegro Burger in particular is absolutely to die for! Breakfast was always delicious, with a huge range of options including cooked breakfast, continental choices, fresh breads, fruit and more. They also have an egg station, where you can have fresh fried eggs and omelettes cooked to order, which was a lovely addition. The hotel was refurbished shortly before our previous stay two years ago, and there are now a few areas beginning to show some signs of wear. Nothing major or anything that affected our stay, but it is noticeable in places. The rooftop bar, however, was just as stunning as we remembered it. It remains one of our favourite parts of the hotel, with the views making it the perfect place to relax with a drink. On our final night they had a local dance group in. This was fantastic and great to watch. Another fantastic stay, and we’d happily return again.

The room was perfect, modern comfortable beds. Partial sea view and the road on the 10th floor was worried about noise but in this area, everything was super quiet after 11pm. This hotel has a lovely vibe and atmosphere. Staff are friendly, mixture of people, cultures, ages and as adults only it was calm pool side. The breakfast was plentiful, lots of choice, can get busy as usual but lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Location is perfect, by the Lido’s, 30mins walk to the city centre one was and walking the other was by the coast on the promenade into other areas for shopping, restaurants etc. one of our best holidays.

We stayed at Allegro Madeira for 5 days and enjoyed our stay from the day of arrival until the day we left. We were celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary and had informed the hotel during booking. We also contacted them prior to our arrival with questions and requests and received informative and friendly responses. Our flight arrived early in the day, and our room was not ready yet, but they processed our paperwork and let us put our luggage in storage in the meantime. We asked if we could use the pool before checking in and we were given towels and access to change room. After checking in, we received a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine and a very thoughtful note about celebrating our anniversary. The breakfast buffet was one of the best hotel breakfasts we have encountered. They had so many choices of bread, pastries, fruits, and hot items. They also had an omelet station, cold cuts, and breakfast desserts. Our room was spacious, we had a panoramic view, two balconies, a sofa, and a chaise. They provided robes, slippers, bottles of water, personal amenities like shaving kit, dental kit and vanity kit. We ordered food and drinks at the pool and service was prompt and food was tasty. We also ordered room service one night from the app while we were still on the way back to the hotel and was very appreciative that they were able to accommodate this right before service was ending. They also prepared a breakfast to go kit for us on the last day since our flight was leaving before the breakfast hours. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, appreciate the friendly and accommodating staff, breakfast was amazing, and would recommend and stay here again. Thanks to Natercia and Luis for going above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable.

Stayed here for my birthday from 5th -12th July. Hotel is Fantastic, Modern, Clean & the rooms are spacious & well equipped!! We booked half- board & weren't disappointed as the breakfast was superb, dinner was the same with plenty of selection for all tastebuds. The best for me were the staff who were Exceptional, friendly and very professional. The outdoor pool sunbathing area is great with plenty of sunlounges. There were a few guests who would be up early with their towels to grab the fav spot. Hotel is 30mins walk from the centre of Funchal, Reids hotel is a 10min walk, their afternoon tea is superb. Book a tut-tut for a tour around Funchal & the tropical gardens. The cable car is a breathtaking view, and the sled ride is great fun. Exceptional stay!! Would definitely recommend!!
