Anne was excellent..she made the tour interesting and fun and was extremely informative on all relevant topics. Her English and accent was so easy to understand!!
Ann was a great guide who seemed to have a great deal of historical knowledge. Very worthwhile tour.
Guide was knowledgeable and courteous.
Enjoyable walk on Sunday with Anna as part of a small group of three, including the guide. The meeting point was easy to find, close to a tram stop, with plenty of time for questions. The small group really helped to make the experience personal. The walk takes you through the genuine old town, the old town which isn't the old town but looks like it, the super modern, and a journey through the harrowing parts of the city's and the people's existence in the 20th century during the Third Reich. The experience brought my visit to the city to life and made a great introduction. Much more than a financial district. The walk started on time, but timing felt flexible thereafter which I appreciated, lasting for just over three hours, including a coffee stop and a separate toilet break. Not too taxing in terms of pace or length, some steps to navigate, but would be able to recommend this to other travellers with at least an average level of physical mobility. Would be happy to recommend, thank you!
My wife & I had a great time on this tour. Our guide Anna was very knowledgeable & her bubbly character made the tour even more enjoyable. She was always smiling while narrating the tour & whilst some guides may give a summary, Anna took her time & explained in detail. I would strongly recommend this tour.
The tour with Anna was really good! We saw all the highlights of the old town area (except the iron bridge since it was raining), and Anna's knowledge of the history and landmarks was amazing. I loved that we went to the memorial wall with the names of the Jews from Frankfurt who were killed during WWII and that Anna pointed out the metal plates on the ground to commemorate them where they lived. I understand that not all Frankfurt old town tours include the Jewish area, but it was a very important part of the day. The amount of walking was reasonable, and I was able to go to the bridge on my own after the tour ended (with some directions from Anna). I was very happy with this tour and felt I was able to see all the highlights of the old town area.
Jen was nice and knowledgable, I went on a chilly Monday morning and there were only 3 of us so we were able to chat and ask questions as needed. Jen highlighted some interesting facts as she showed us around pointing out many things to do in addition to the tour afterwards. Well worth it. You get the most out of this tour by asking questions. They may not have the exact answer but it usually highlights other interesting facts.
Excellent guide! She was informative and prepared. Was able to respond to questions and pivot as needed. My transportation to the meeting point was delayed and she was gracious and flexible to meet me. Thank you, I’d love to have a part two Frankfurt tour in the future.
Our guide Jennifer was excellent. Her recommendations to continue To see and visit locations after our walk proved to be a very good choice.
One of the best walking tours. Our guide was very knowledgeable and had fun stories as well. Would definitely recommend.
Your guide was amazing!!! Very knowledgeable and polite and personable!!! Made our experience very special!!!
Very interesting history of Germany especially Frankfurt. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and you could tell he enjoyed sharing his country’s heritage with others. We especially appreciated the visuals he showed us on his iPad of before and after pictures of different areas on the tour. He kept the pace nice and leisurely so everyone on the tour had the opportunity to see things he had talked about.
There is so much to learn about Frankfurt and this tour delivered terrifically. Ann was our tour guide and she was so pleasant and funny. She handled the delicate subject of Jewish history very adeptly. We learned a lot about architecture, art, history, and culture. We had a disabled gentleman on our tour and she was very careful with him and her true concern for him and his wellbeing was palpable. She summarized the complex story of the Holy Roman Empire quite well. My wife and I were very grateful to have been on this tour!
Very informative and handled sensitive subjects well. Great personality and very engaging with everyone. Really enjoyed this tour.
Our guide was very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Highly recommended.
Anne was an enthusiastic, knowledgeable and engaging guide on our tour! Would highly recommend this tour. An opportunity to learn so much about Frankfurt’s history and culture.
Excellent tour with Jennifer. Good mix of historical and current local knowledge. Comfortable pace. I’ve been to Frankfurt dozens of times but this tour was well worth doing.
We enjoyed our walking tour. The three hours went quickly because our guide, Ann, was engaging and interesting.
My experience on the Frankfurt Highlights English Walking Tour was absolutely fantastic, and that is largely thanks to our incredible tour guide, Anne. As a native English speaker originally from Utah, she was so easy to understand and brought an amazing energy to the entire group. As a solo traveler, I felt incredibly welcome from the very beginning, and the friendly, social atmosphere of the group made it easy to connect and make some new friends along the way. Anne has clearly put a lot of thought into planning this tour. She seamlessly wove together Frankfurt’s rich history, local culture, food, and architecture into an engaging, witty story. We started early at the Römerberg meeting point, which was exceptionally easy to find and allowed us to beat the heavy crowds. From there, we covered a brisk but perfectly paced three-hour overview of the city center. We were able to check off all the key landmarks—including the stunning New Old Town alleys, the St. Bartholomew Cathedral, and the bustling Kleinmarkthalle food market. Anne also guided us through the city's darker chapters with immense care and sensitivity, offering emotional insights at the old Jewish quarter, the memorial wall, and the cemetery. The tour structure was brilliant, featuring strategically planned quick bathroom and refreshment breaks so nobody felt rushed or exhausted. To top it all off, Anne went out of her way to send our group a follow-up email after the tour filled with her personal recommendations for local coffee shops, eateries, and extra places to visit during our stay. If you are a first-time visitor or a history lover looking for a perfect cure for jet lag, I highly recommend booking this tour and asking for Anne! It completely changed how I viewed the city.
Lovely time with Anne. She is very knowledgeable about Frankfurt and seemed to really care about everyone on the tour. We learned a lot!
Ulla was fun and informative with great stories We loved the tour. It was history culture food and architecture combined.
It was excellent. Ulla was great. She was attentive, knowledgeable, patient. It was fun learning more ablut Frankfurt
Phillip walks you around the city center and you see shopping areas, a great food market, town squares and you also learn about some of the history about how Jews were treated and you see a memorial wall. He also talks about architecture of the buildings pre and post wartime. I recommend the tour.
We had a great time on this tour. Anne has obviously spent a lot of time planning her tours and you can tell as she weaves history, culture, food, locations together seamlessly and in an entertaining and enjoyable manner. We learned a lot and enjoyed it. Strategically planned quick bathroom and refreshment breaks made for a brisk 3 hour overview of the central part of Frankfurt. Thank you !!
This walking tour takes in alot of old Frankfurt with stories of the city and people. Enjoyable and would recommend for the various sights.
Anne J. gave a fantastic tour! She really brought the city to life with unique details and her storytelling. She took her time and was very engaging, We are so happy we did the tour with her and would do it again!
Anna did a great job of sharing her energy and passion for the city. Our tour was over three hours which is common she said. Anna, as she says, tells to many stories and forgets to watch the time. As we walked through Frankfurt learning the history and how the people lived through the time of of the city. My wife and I thought how important it was to show us the Jewish area and then the wall with names on it. A sad reality of history.
Tour was informative and moved at a good pace
Tour guide, Anne, was absolutely great. She told many stories and showed us important places and history.
Wonderful guided walk around centre of Frankfurt. Our guide Anne was so knowledgeable about the city.
We absolutely loved our tour and mostly because of our amazing, knowledgeable, witty and kind tour guide. Loved the old and new history insights. Thank you Anne for an incredible day🙏🏻

Ulla was a gem. Great guide, easy to understand and very informative.
Very nice experience. Was able to explore Frankfurt in a very special and personal way Glad to have booked this tour. Wula, our guide (hopefully, I spelled the name right) was superb, knowledgeable and courteous. Will recommend this tour to friends and family. Thank you
Lots of walking but that was expected. Ulla our guide was exceptional. Very informative. Several nice places to take a rest.
We arrived in Frankfurt with no plans and time on our hands. We joined this tour minute. I can say it was well worth the time and €. Our tour guide was both knowledgeable and personable. He was very good at waiting for all tourists to collect before providing information about an area. Old town is a small area, but with a rich history. Again, well worth considering.
Very knowledgeable tour guide! We really enjoyed learning all the details about Frankfurt and its history.
I would rank this tour among the very best I have taken. Our guide, Ann, had a wealth of knowledge and insights that I would have never have gotten on my own. The last leg of the tour focused on the Frankfurt Jewish history. It was very interesting and worthwhile. Ann handled it with sensitivity and thoughtfulness. In sum, excellent tour and fabulous guide.
A great way to learn the history of Frankfurt, and why it is a financial center of Germany and much of the EU. Our guide Justin was a wealth of information, and did a good job of sharing his knowledge .
great tour that definitely gets you off the beaten track and teaches you super interesting history about Frankfurt
Very informative historical summary of the Old Don Romer and very well designed restored buildings and beautiful alley ways, to the St Bartholomew Cathedral and an emotional insight into the old Jewish quarter/memorials/cemetery. Good pace and early morning start is good time, not much crowds yet. Overall Anne was a pleasant guide with good knowledge of Frankfurts history.. great tour!
This was a fabulous tour! Our guide, Anne, did a wonderful job. She was well informed and very enthusiastic about her city and its rich heritage. I highly recommend Anne, her tour company and Viator for putting this together!!
Anne was our guide. She was wonderful and very knowledgeable. She provided detailed information about the history of the city and was open to answering any questions. She also provided wonderful restaurant recommendations. We would definitely recommend this tour.
Anne was great and very knowledgeable!
We really enjoyed our walking tour of Frankfurt and thought it was a great way to get an introduction to the city. The meeting place was very easy to find, which made getting started nice and stress free. Our tour guide Anne was fantastic. She was extremely knowledgeable and shared lots of interesting information about Frankfurt and its history. She made the tour enjoyable without it feeling rushed. We came away from the tour with a much better understanding of Frankfurt and with some great ideas about what to see and do during the rest of our stay. We also really appreciated that Anne sent us an email afterwards with a list of some of her favourite places to eat and additional places to visit. It was such a thoughtful extra. We would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Frankfurt, especially if it’s your first time in the city.

I did this walking tour with Anne on my first day in Frankfurt, and it was a great way to get oriented to both the landmarks and the history of the city. I was especially impressed with Anne’s thorough knowledge and the sensitivity she showed about some of the darker chapters, in particular the Jewish history. Bonus points for the fact that it happened to be Museumsuferfest weekend. That meant a kink in the plan, which Anne adjusted to smoothly, but also meant it was a wonderful weekend to be here. Anne’s recommendations set me up to enjoy the festival and the city in general much more than I might have without her insider tips and insights. Thanks and highly recommended.
Knowledgeable guide, small group so it was easy to see and hear. Very informative! Having a native English speaker guide was awesome!! Some other tours we had a hard time deciphering what they were saying due to their accent!
Excellent experience- learned so much!!
