The complimentary breakfast buffet is the best. We visited Herborn, Cologne and Paris. We had breakfast buffet at other chain hotels and Schloss beat all of them. They offer very good scrambled eggs, soft boiled eggs, hard boiled eggs, meat balls, sausages, cheese, lots of bread and more! Staff is friendly and helpful. We’re from the U.S. so we wish the rooms have AC but I think this is a European problem. Using the key/lock to get into the room was a bit inconvenient vs. room keys. But overall we enjoyed our stay very much
This place has excellent service. The rooms are well kept, but slightly outdated. The hotel is an obvious '70s relic, but this is a great choice. Restaurant is also good and busy.
One of the most magical and amazing ancient towns you will be lucky enough to visit. Fairytale architecture. The hotel is very cozy and clean, the breakfast is great! The staff are beyond praise. Amazing nature all around.
Wonderful hotel with amazing value for your money. With a Spa, gym, and with a truly wonderful big l breakfast included, it's the only hotel to stay in if you are visiting Herborn. Rooms are also very well equipped with everything you might need (slippers, gown, toiletries etc) was very pleasantly surprised with my stay at this hotel
Stayed there this past weekend. Good location and only 10 minute walk to train station. Excellent breakfast buffet and the restaurant also for dinner. Very affordable and close to walk around the historic area sites. Staff were very helpful and friendly. When I compare this to "similar" USA hotels or other German hotels we have stayed it was superb and a very affordable price. Highly recommend.
