I booked this hotel as a surprise for my wife, and I was very happy that the hotel was able to arrange everything for me. Of course, there was an additional fee, but the way they prepared the surprise was absolutely fabulous and extravagant. We truly enjoyed it and really appreciated the effort they put into making the occasion special. One thing I did notice, however, was that some of the staff did not seem very warm or welcoming. The housekeeping staff were wonderful — every time we saw them, they always smiled and greeted us, which made us feel very welcome. Unfortunately, we did not experience the same level of friendliness at the reception. There were times when we were not greeted or even welcomed with a smile. I believe that in the hospitality industry, a simple smile and a friendly greeting can make a big difference to a guest’s experience. I hope the reception team can be encouraged to be a little more warm, approachable, and accommodating in the future. I also had an uncomfortable experience when I called the reception because my wife was not answering her phone. I simply asked if they could please connect my call to our room. Before doing so, however, the receptionist kept giving possible explanations, such as saying that maybe she was no longer in the room or had already left. I had already explained that I had tried calling her several times without an answer, so I was only asking for the call to be transferred to the room. I felt that the situation could have been handled more simply and professionally, without unnecessary assumptions or excuses. As a guest, I would have appreciated a more helpful and accommodating response. Overall, we still had a lovely stay, and we are very grateful for the beautiful surprise arrangement and the efforts made to make our stay memorable.

Absolutely loved our stay! We stayed on the 23rd floor with a skyline view and it was honestly breathtaking. The view alone was worth it. The check-in was super smooth, and the receptionist who welcomed us was so lovely. She was genuinely kind, friendly, and helpful, and it made such a difference. Being greeted by such a happy face the moment we walked in instantly made us feel welcome and got our stay off to a great start. Their bar Oben also has great cocktails and a great view as it is on the 15th floor. This was my first time staying at a Melia hotel, and it’s set the bar really high. Definitely won’t be my last time booking with Melia. Thank you, Melia, and a special thank you to the receptionist whose name I unfortunately didn’t get. You really made our stay even better!
My experience at Meliá Frankfurt was very disappointing. Although the hotel had rooms available, I was informed that I could not check in just one hour before the official check-in time unless I paid an excessively high additional fee. As a result, guests were forced to wait in the lobby despite rooms apparently being available. What made the situation even worse was the attitude of the front desk staff. Instead of listening to guests or trying to find a reasonable solution, the conversation was focused almost entirely on whether I was willing to pay the early check-in fee. The staff came across as dismissive and unhelpful, showing little interest in understanding the situation. For a hotel of this category, I expected a much higher level of customer service and hospitality. The combination of inflexibility and poor front-office service made for a frustrating experience. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this hotel.
A truly wonderful hotel, especially if you book a room with a skyline view. In our case, check-in was on the 15th floor but the booking confirmation e-mail didn’t mention this, so we ended up waiting in vain at the main reception desk first 🤣 The room was beautiful, spacious and bright, with a large balcony. It was a shame, of course, that guests diagonally across from us on the floor above could see us on the terrace and we could see them 🫣 The minibar was stocked with drinks and wine. I should also mention that you won’t be able to see the sunset from your magnificent room overlooking the skyline and skyscrapers, since the sun sets in the opposite direction 🤣🤣🤣 The sunrise, meanwhile, takes place away from the skyscrapers, though it’s still beautiful. I especially liked that breakfast was available at two locations: downstairs in the main restaurant and on the 15th floor with a stunning view; of course, we chose the option with the view. I recommend ordering egg dishes from the menu because the pre-made omelet in the marmite was completely tasteless. The waitstaff were very friendly and attentive. During our stay at the hotel, the weather was very hot so having breakfast on the terrace in direct sunlight wasn’t very comfortable either; because of this, we weren’t able to enjoy breakfast outdoors on all of the days we were at the hotel. There is also a lounge area with a terrace on the 15th floor with free drinks and snacks. Unfortunately, the terrace has 5 sofas (which are very uncomfortable, by the way) but only 4 tables, so you’ll have to hold your drinks or snacks in your hands or set them directly on the floor... Overall, we were satisfied with this hotel and I can confidently recommend it if you’re heading to Frankfurt am Main! 👍👌
I stayed one night at Meliá Frankfurt City due to a flight issue, and it turned out to be a very pleasant experience. The hotel is modern, clean, and very comfortable. The staff were professional and welcoming, making a stressful travel situation much easier. The room was quiet and well-equipped, perfect for getting some rest before continuing my trip. I also enjoyed the great city views and convenient location. Overall, a very good stay and I would happily return.
