Hotel Blesius Garten

The hotel is in need of renovation and, in my opinion, definitely does not meet the standards expected of a four-star hotel. The rooms and facilities feel somewhat dated and would benefit from refurbishment. The cleanliness of the common areas is also inconsistent and could be improved. In addition, towels are sometimes unavailable at the swimming pool, which is inconvenient and not what one would expect from a four-star property. Overall, the hotel has potential, but significant improvements in maintenance, cleanliness, and service standards are needed to justify its four-star rating.

Blesius Garten is a great place to stay. The rooms are good and comfortable. The service is also good, especially during dinner where you are properly served at your table. For breakfast, the service is up to yourself since you can just grab what you like from the counter, like a croissant with some ham or other options. The location is really nice too, because it sits right on the edge just outside the city center. Just after a beautiful short walk along a small stream that leads to a fish ladder, there is a bus line that literally takes you straight through most of the must-see sights and locations you should visit in Trier. We arrived at 6:30 on a Monday evening and the place was not very busy … at 8:30 our food was still missing - at that time we were all very hungry! Well what arrived was weird - the Euro 42 filet was probably cooked for 2 hours - and it evaporated during the cooking process to some small piece of overcooked something. The potato puree was not puree it was luke warm potato salad. The risotto did not contain any of the ingredients mentioned on the menu or the tomatoes and others also evaporated during the two hour (plus) cooking process. They cooked the white asparagus in red vinegar water - it looked and tasted disgusting. We were starving at 9pm and yes we did not complain initially as that could mean we would still sit there …. NEVER AGAIN BTW - several rounds of drinks were ordered and never arrived - for sure they appeared on the first version of the bill.

Calm place rather near city center. Allows pets. Which was not perfect for us. But they have petfree rooms on request. Really nice breakfast and biergartden. Clean. Good valde.
