We had a great stay overall. The location was excellent, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the hotel was comfortable. The only downside was that room cleaning was often quite late in the day and could have been more thorough. Other than that, it was a very pleasant experience.
Very decent hotel, if you don’t mind a shower in the room! Overall, great location and service. Make sure to carry universal plug in if you are traveling internationally.
Also, drinking water is not provided as apparently you can drink straight from the tap!
No idea how this hotel scores higher, very average and an atmosphere vacuum. The room was extremely strange with the shower right in the middle with no frosting on the glass, what an earth was the designer thinking. Bed was comfy and everything worked so that was ok. No water provided which for price point is poor. The tea offering was really bad, truck stop motels can do better. Not sure what star rating this hotel has but I travel a lot and this is 3 star. Tired and needs a rethink. Glad I wasn't with my wife as displaying myself in the shower like a contestant in a bad TV game show washing my undercarriage, might kill any romance left in the marriage.
Made the decision to stay here rather than in the typical area around the HBF. Was very pleased. Rooms are clean, comfortable, and have high quality toiletries. Breakfast is a bit expensive but was quite good tasting and fresh. Our room (though I'm not sure if this is for every room) did not have a refrigerator, which was my only serious complaint. The area around the hotel is safe and is a quick walk to the river. There are homeless people hunkered down in areas around the hotel, but I had no issues. Hotel staff spoke English and were responsive when I requested additional pillows and an iron.
The breakfast is utterly amazing. The check in process was very smooth, although the host should not announce the room number aloud in the public lobby. The see-through shower stall in the center of the room is interesting to be sure! Overall we had a great night's sleep and the bed was very comfortable! I would stay here again.
