Capri By Fraser Frankfurt

It is our sixth yearly stay at Capri by Fraser in Frankfurt. This is a reliable no-nonsense hotel, with a prime location 3 minutes away from Frankfurt Messe, which is ideal for business travellers. We stayed during the Frankfurt Book Fair the week of October 6th, 2026, in a one-bedroom executive room. The room has a kitchenette, a small fridge and all that is needed to cook a meal or a breakfast. There is also an iron board and an iron, amenities, robes and slippers. The room was clean, properly appointed and had very good wifi. There was an unfortunate leak in the bathroom which could not be fixed, although the hotel promptly offered to change rooms; it was not worth the hassle. Breakfast is also good and appointed in a big and agreeable space (and sunny when the day abides). However, this year we noticed that there had been some cuts on the food offered: sausages and mini-burgers, a very welcome source of protein for fair-goers, have disappeared from the breakfast buffet, as well as the choice of juices (only orange juice now) and the pastries (chocolate and croissants, but nothing else). To be honest, it is no big deal but it does feel like budget adjustments have been made (perhaps new policies, perhaps a new manager) and it feels a little sad and disappointing. We looked forward to those breakfasts before the bookfair! Some of the changes try to make the best out of austerity: while the complimentary water is reduced to one bottle only, you are now able to refill it for free in a common area room in each floor, where the washing machine and dryer are (now to be paid for, where it was for free before). Who wants to walk more, however, after a full day at the fair? The prices have not gone down, quite the contrary, and it felt like travellers had noticed it and spent less nights at the property. All in all Capri by Fraser in Frankfurt is still a very good option for the business traveller with a healthy expenses budget and I would recommend it whole-heartedly if you want to stay close to the fair and want the flexibility of a kitchenette (as opposed to a room-only at the other, also expensive, hotels near the fair). A special thanks to the front desk team, always efficient and helpful, and especially David who made us feel at home, and Ruben who sorted out the details for our reservation.

We stayed there twice in May and had a great time. A bit far from old town (which we didn’t mind at all) and close to a shopping centre. Lots of good food right outside on the road. 10/10! Staff were very lovely. Thank you ☺️

We were really happy with our stay at Capri. Thank you Anil, David and the staff for your help and being very accommodating with bicycle and luggage storage as well as your advice on public transport. We have stayed in many hotels with our business and holidays and the staff were the most helpful and friendly we have met. The rooms were very smart and comfortable too and the breakfast was superb. It was great value and we will definitely be staying with Capri again and hope to try their hotels back home in the UK also.

Very spacious modern room. Water pressure good. Though have kitchen, but no cooking utensils. Only cutleries for 2. There's parking facility in front for self unloading. No porter service. Counter staff are nice and well mannered. Sad upon learning I paid extra as a member. Cos had communicated via email for late check out at 1400 hours and was told must pay to confirm. Paid for 1 room. Upon check in, found as a member, late check out fee at 1400 hours is not required. : (
