An incredible experience with Dave — couldn’t have done it without him! My 14 year old daughter and I had an amazing hike with Elite Guides. Everything was excellent from start to finish, from the booking process and preparation beforehand to the day itself. Our guide, Dave, was incredible. We honestly couldn’t have done it without him, and having him guide us made such a difference to the whole experience. Had the best experience ever on Saturday 3rd October climbing Ben Nevis. Phil was our guide. He was amazing , friendly, knowledgeable and professional at all times. I had a fantastic day climbing Tower Ridge with Scott from Elite Guides. He knows all the rocks and moves on the mountain, from countless times reaching the summit, allowing me to experience the climb and challenge myself while keeping the climb safe and moving along the right route. We ascended Tower Ridge and then descended Ledge Route. This combination made the day a full and amazing experience. I highly recommend Scott and Elite Guides.

Scott took myself and a friend up Tower Ridge and was precise, calm, and easygoing with his guidance in a way that was remarkable and clearly the result of much preparation and skill. Even the more alarming looking parts felt perfectly doable in the moment, and it was such a delight to just relax into the puzzle-solving aspect and the stunning scenery. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience, absolutely book them!

I had a great day with my knowledgeable guide Iain, we ascended Tower Ridge and descended via Ledge Route. The views and exposure were spectacular. I felt safe and comfortable throughout the day and would recommend Elite Guides to anyone looking for an adventure in the area.

He knew so much about the mountain and shared his knowledge throughout the climb, which added so much to the experience. He was also extremely supportive and encouraging. Siobhan was amazing, so friendly and was really reassuring having her with us as some of us hadn’t climbed a mountain before. Was easy to find her at the visitor centre, she was very understanding when we had to wait as one of our party forgot his gloves. She helped encourage us and knew the route well. Also had great customer service before the trip from the admin team.

Our guide Hannah awaited us at the visitor centre and after a few checks our journey to the top of the Ben Nevis started. She is a wonderful guide and the journey was tough but fun. A guide is not a requirement but a pleasant way to climb and fully enjoy every experience

Myself and 3 other close friends booked for a spring time guided hike of Ben Nevis to summit via the CMD arete, a route which can be challenging depending on the conditions/snowfall and as always the conditions are unpredictable in the highlands. Scott at Elite was great at making the arrangements work for us, and ensuring we were suited with a guide, quick and helpful comms back and forward made the process smooth and reassuring. Our Guide for the day was George who kept us informed on conditions and equipment requirements in advance, and met us for an early start in the north face car park. The activity took around 8 hours and was approx £ 90 pp for a group of 4 people. On the day, George was fantastic - a very capable guide with a real passion for the area, and made the whole experience seamless, with added valuable lessons and advice from a local! We shared laughs and fired questions at George for hours and he was there with guidance every time. We took a lot away from the experience beyond the incredible views and landscape, and cant recommend Elite and George enough!

I booked with Elite Guided walks Quick response, simple payment. My guide Craig was excellent. He came equipped with crampons and ice axe. I'd never used either before but he fitted my crampons before starting. Helpful to know the progress, 1/4 way, 1/2 way. We were exceptionally lucky with a clear sunny day but there was snow for a good section of the last part, crampons gave me confidence. Craig was good at recommending when to take a break, 2-3× both ways. Great conversation. We started at around 0830 and were back at 1625. The summit is special, you don't really want to leave, but the views up and down are so special.

Great experience. Cal was an excellent guide and we had 2 very enjoyable days learning winter skills and climbing Ben Nevis. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to hike the amazing peaks in Scotland

Scott and Elite guides were a saviour at getting us booked at short notice. Our guide AJ was fantastic and we could no way have made it up without him! His knowledge of the route, when to break and add / remove layers was spot on! Also great company! Would highly recommend to anyone thinking of doing Nevis - especially in the winter!

If you're thinking of a guided hike up Ben Nevis just book with these people, our family just completed a winter skills day and Nevis hike in some serious snow and really loved it, we cannot fault Elite at all. From the start Elite communicated well and were professional in all our dealings with them. James was our guide and was well organised, patient, reassuring and worked well with our groups pace whilst still managing to give us a gentle nudge to test ourselves which was all welcomed ensuring we got to the Nevis summit on a cold and snowy February day. What an experience, can't recommend it enough if you like a challenging adventure hike.

Such an incredible hike with James at Elite Guides, he kept me motivated and was great at advising me on all the best techniques. My wife and I had an amazing day climbing Ben Nevis for the first time with the wonderful help of James. James was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and attentive during the entire trip. Loads of fascinating information and advice for future walks/climbs too - could not recommend more. Scott was also very helpful in getting everything sorted at fairly short notice too.

Scott was very friendly and nice. It was late october, we hiked Ben Nevis via tourist trail. I was not quite fit enough and He was very supportive and waiting with great patience 😄 The trail is tourist friendly and the top was amazing, rainbow and broken spectre was our bonus that day! Thanks Scott and Elite Guides! Definitely will recommend Him for colleagues!!

Communication with Scott was brilliant as we had to delay and postpone several times, he was very helpful. On the day our guide, Tom, met us at the visitor centre and was fab. He was chatty, informative and good fun. He was always keeping an eye on our pace and well-being. I felt confident climbing with him and it was much better than trying on our own. Tom also kept us informed of the route, what to expect and how long each bit would be. Can't fault any of it... Highly recommend.

A really pleasant day - helped by the weather being kind to us especially laid on by Elite Guides. Having a guide booked for the day would certainly have given us more confidence, support and encouragement had the conditions been sot so favourable.

4 of us took a family trip up Ben Nevis with Jack from Elite Guides I decided on a guide to give us piece of mind for an easy stressless climb Weather forecast was rain from the start with heavy rain and 70 mile an hour winds due in at 10 Started walk at 7am with weather holding off Got right up to end of the zigzags before rain started but soldiered on to the summit Heavy rain and wind started here so we set off down quickly Quickly only lasted until near bottom of the zigzags before my knees packed up 🥴 Took 5 hours to get down with rain and wind all the way Besides the pain, had a fantastic time, smiling until the end bagged another Monroe ( my last) Jack from Elite Guides was a great help Assisted me all the way down. He was very informative all day, giving us useful tips and advice and shared local knowledge of the surrounding area Helped us with our kit, even lending some of his to one of our group and even strangers struggling by. Jack has a great sense of humour and patience which was probably used up getting me down 😏 We highly recommend Elite guides They were fantastic and so helpful throughout the whole booking 👏 I would definitely use them again, however I’m hanging up my boots and sticking to easier adventures 😎

My family had an outstanding experience hiking up Ben Nevis with Haydn even though the weather wasn't great for 75% of the day. We still felt the thrill of mastery of the peak, enjoyed nature (the different plants, the water from the stream, the birds, even the sheep) and whiled away the hours talking to Haydn and each other. Haydn had interesting information to share with everyone in our group from the 11 year old girl (Harry Potter filming info), to the 15 year old boy (other possible hikes, outdoorsman skills, the system of mountain rescues), to the almost 18 year old boy (every band that ever played and the merits of each and which traditional Scottish artists to try), to the parents (how the land in Scotland is managed and environmental concerns, wild swimming and peat formation) and an indefatigable willingness to participate in all of these conversations. Haydn also was expert at guiding the pace and encouraging safety in all participants in a way that was extremely diplomatic. Elite Guides was also super helpful about answering all of the advance questions so that we could make sure we were appropriately prepared to make the hike a success. I can't recommend them and Haydn, in particular, enough.

From start to finish, Scott and our guide, Jordan were professional and straight forward. I contacted Scott a few times for help and advice. We met Jotdan at 6:30 a.m. and from the start he made my sister and myself feel safe while climbing Ben Nevis. He had lots of interesting information and took our minds off the climb. We would definitely use this company and guide again.

Bad luck with weather (intermittent mist with forecast for heavy rain late in day), but even so, guide seemed overly risk averse (and on a short leash with operator). Worst part was after he turbed us around due to potential weather (nearly immediately), he then proceeded to have us walk down a timber farm access road (complete waste of time).

We hired a guide from Elite to attempt Ben Nevis. Our guide as Ailsa and she was amazing. She made a sensible judgement call on one of our group who she felt wouldn't make the summit and that person turned back with the rest reaching the summit. She was informative, had lots of great advice and very lovely and friendly too. Highly recommend this company.

Thank you Scott for arranging my guide Cameron at short notice, especially as he came in on a rest day, to make it such a memorable occasion. Cameron was a real diamond, good company and solicitous for the welfare of this 72 year old. The weather was shocking ( more like January than June) but at no point was I afraid for my safety. We had driving rain almost from the start, then hail then snow as we approached the summit plateau. Winds of 50+ MPH, thick cloud and freezing cold hands meant no great surprise to find only 2 people at the trig point and we saw less than 10 people on the plateau up and down. What a wonderful, exhilarating experience! Chuffed to say that completed the 3 big peaks that I'd started last year. So, a massive thank you Cameron and Scott, both of whom I'd have no hesitation in recommending to others contemplating this feat, especially in such circumstances.

Huge thanks to Scott for finding a guide for me last-minute when I was totally stuck! I've never climbed a mountain before, but James (my guide) made me feel safe and confident the whole way and made sure that I climbed at a pace I was comfortable with while also enjoying the stunning views! I had an amazing time and would definitely book again!

James is a very good guide. He was very responsive to my ideas and told me a lot about the geology of Ben Nevis, the landscape and the plants. I always felt very safe.

Scott was very helpful to find the best day on my way up to Ben Nevis. Hannah that guided my on the day was amazing helping me with all the details to a good hacking.

Hiking Ben Nevis can be challenging. You have to watch the weather. Climbing this mountain in adverse conditions can make this climb very strenuous. The key is wearing the proper clothing for weather conditions (which makes packing a challenge). Finally, having an experienced guide is essential. Our guide, James, was knowledgeable about the mountain and how to successfully make the climb. All and all, it was a great experience. We will do it again.

Scottish winter climbing was on my bucket list, and I traveled from Mongolia for this experience. I truly enjoyed the climbing and had unforgettable days with Elite Guides. Thank you!

Elite Guides were faultless through the whole process, from the start when organising the event with Scott it was immediately made easy and straight forward, he provided clear information and made sure we had the correct kit for the day. Elite Guides were flexible to our plans and were happy to start at 6am which is the time we requested. The main praise I have for them is that due to weather warnings the event came into potential doubt but they were still more than happy to attempt the climb. Our guide for the day was Lauren, she was really talkative and friendly throughout the day, she gave regular updates along the route letting us know how far we were into the climb, she provided great tips and also kit such as ice axes and crampons for no extra fee. She checked in on us through the climb making sure we were fine and weren’t carrying any niggles. The main reason I hired a guide was due to the conditions, I found the hike very challenging and I didn’t want to take any chances with the winter conditions. The reassurance felt by just having her there was a great help and didn’t once question my safety whilst on Ben Nevis. If I was ever going to use a company again these would be my first point of contact without any doubt! The weather was shocking but we still managed to make it to the summit despite doubt it may of not been possible, thanks to everyone involved we raised just short of £3,000 for charity.

Very best guiding service i have ever experienced anywhere. Lauren is the best of the best and nothing could be improved in any way. She was knowledgable, experienced and a fun person to hike with. I would have no hesitation in recommending Elite Guides to anyone of any experience level or capability.

We enjoyed a trek with Elite Guides and found them to be particularly professional and helpful. We conducted all of our booking via email and the day went exactly as planned and was throughly enjoyed by our group of 18. I did a private guided hike with Nathan up Ben Nevis. It was one of the most incredible experiences of my life. Being a non-hiker with a moderate fitness level, I was worried about my ability to reach the summit, but Nathan helped us keep the right pace, manage my temperature, and was generally so supportive, friendly, and packed with knowledge about the surrounding areas that the hours flew by; I didn’t want it to end. And leading up to the day, Scott and Nathan were super communicative about ensuring I was all set up. I cannot recommend Nathan and Elite Guides highly enough. It is 10000% worth the splurge for a private guide!

We had an excellent day. Our guide was fantastic. Very experienced and knowledgeable plus caring and helpful. Would highly recommend. Even in Aug visibility was tricky in places and slippery underfoot; so good to have our guide with us to keep is safe.

Angus was my guide very patient and informative, knew the history of the mountain and area. Lent me a pair of waterproof trousers and a woolen hat, it was freezing! He even gave me a porridge bar to give me some energy! It took me 5 hours to get up and 4 hours to get down, and Angus never lost his cool!! Told me how to place my feet coming down "edge, ledge, wedge" I am still following his advice as I hike the Great Glen Way which I started the day after Ben Nevis, which I can now cross off my bucket list! I am 72 and really happy I got to the summit.

Booked with them just couple of days before my trip. They helped a lot with instructions & checklist. My guide was George, we started 7 am and made it to summit by 11:30 am. George is fun, caring, and had lots of stories to share. The 8 hours went by without feeling it. Thank you Scott & George for arranging this 🙏

As someone with a fear of heights, I was safely and professionally guided up tower ridge route. I completed the route in less then ideal conditions and It was a fantastic opportunity to tackle the fear head on with the support of a professional guide. The guide helped me keep my cool and do what I never thought I could. A fantastic experience overall.
