Wild Dolphin Tour

We saw ALL THE DOLPHINS! Our guide, Nate, was fantastic- he knew exactly where to go and what to do - like rev the engine to create a wake for the dolphins to show off as they surfed and jumped out of the water! The weather was perfect and the water serene. We highly recommend this tour.

Our guide, Nate, was very knowledgeable about dolphins. It only took 10 minutes before we spotted a few dolphins. He got the dolphins to follow the wake of the boat. He also spotted some manatees. All in all, it was a great experience. I would recommend a trip with the Wild Dolphin Tour.

Going on the tour was very relaxing and informative. Got to see dolphins and other wildlife. It was hot outside and I was so glad the boat was covered.

We liked hearing about the history of Goodland and Marco Island. Plus the original inhabitants. We almost missed the tour but Captain Nate was kind and enough to call and wait for us. We were at the wrong marina. Maybe better instructions of where to meet on the ticket.

My wife and I really enjoyed the tour. This is a must do excusion. Captain John was awesome! He explained the mangroves and what we could see. We saw birds, dolphins and wildlife. Toured the inner channels and cruised by the homes of amazing homes of Marco Island residents and the rich and famous. It was a way to see parts of Marco Island and the surrounding area that you cannot see by car. Definitely worth the trip!

Wonderful experience watching dolphins swim in their natural habitat in the mangroves of Marco Island. We also saw a pod of dolphins swimming and feeding together. Many beautiful birds, including burrowing owls were seen. When passing an Osprey nest, two young birds popped up joining their mother to watch us. Captain John Mikulka, a Florida Naturalist, was informative, answering questions about the ecosystem of the mangroves; and also about the sea life, birds, animals, and reptiles that call it home. I highly recommend this tour.

The experience was great, the guide was great and the liittle doggie was adorable! Seeing the dolphins go after their food was pretty amazing. My sister and I had a great time. I would definitely recommend!!

An amazing adventure with Captain Nate. A small boat that can take out six passengers. The dolphins swam right next to the boat. I got some great videos of the males courting a female. Nate is so knowledgeable about Gulf dolphins and birds.

Captain very knowledgeable about the area around Marco Island. Able to see dolphins, although that wasn't his main objective, but he realized the passengers were very excited to see the dolphins.

Thank you Captain John, your tour was a great experience for me and my husband, Harry. The day was lovely - not too hot or cold, and although the waters were choppy at times, you made sure that we were not "against the wind" and so helped us enjoy the great outdoors. Saw dolphins - 5 actually; learned a lot about the wildlife, and about the Marco Island story. You have a fine way with all of the participants onboard today, and it was good too hear out eldest share his reflections and thoughts as we toured. It means a lot to know that everyone was welcome to participate. And you called us by name, a meaningful way to host. Thanks, see you in Maine... maybe!

Gary, our captain, was most informative on the history and culture of the Marco Island, Goodland, 10,000 Islands region. He brought us to a pod of at least 7 porpoises, jumping and flipping around our boat, and we (total of 4 guests) cruised around the Islands and the Marco waterfront with its mansions, estates, beaches and waterfront hotels. Only 40-45 minutes by car from Naples to the pier at Goodland, an old boating village with a couple of popular seafood houses close by. Great afternoon.

Absolutely incredible experience!! This is my 3rd time doing this tour with different friends and family members. Each time I walk away so happy, as do my guests! Fantastic!!

Captain Nate and his wife are the perfect team to give you a delightful dolphin experience. When you call in to schedule, you are greeted very personably by his wife. She helped to schedule the tour and said she’d be available at any time for any follow up questions until we boarded for our trip . Captain Nate clearly is very knowledgable about the wildlife in the area, particularly the habits of the dolphins. He has a great eye for spotting the dolphins and knows when they’re hungry and when they’re ready to play. Two times on our trip, he was able to get the dolphins to dive through our wake for several minutes. The dolphins seemed to be having as much fun as we were. From the time that we called to schedule to the time that we left the boat, I cannot imagine a better experience.

Captain Nate was great. Informative and professional. Found the dolphins for us to see and did his best to avoid some showers! Fun tour!

My wife wanted to see dolphins, her only real goal for the tour, and she got her wish. After some searching, not only did the captain find a pod, he was able to get them to play with us in the wake of the boat. Everything we asked for. Thanks for the great memories!

We took a dolphin sighting boat tour with captain Nate and it was an amazing experience our kids loved it and got to see so many dolphins and other wildlife life! Definitely suggest this as part of your vacation it will not disappoint!

I’ve done loads of tours over the years - this was by far the best. Great boat, great Captain, fantastic tour - don’t know how it could be bettered. Really good value for money. I’ll do this trip again.

We had an excellent tour this morning with Captain Tom Schmidt, and would gladly do another if we had more time!! He was a very friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating tour guide!! He took us to several spots to see dolphins, pairs of dolphins, egrets, owls, add even stingrays and Manatees although we didn’t see any manatees. Was a very enjoyable day, thank you once again CaptTom!!!

Had a lovely time on this 2-hour dolphin watching trip with Captain Nate. We saw lots of dolphins cruising the waters around 10,000 islands plus manatees, osprey and other sea birds. The best part was when the dolphins chased the boat, having fun jumping through our wake. I would totally recommend you add this experience to your Marco Island itinerary.

Went out on the 11am tour. We were the only 2 people on the tour so it was great and laid back. Saw several dolphins before we left the canal. Saw a couple dolphin pods over by Marco Island, some great birds, and Nate even had great location to see a few manatees. All in all it was a great tour!

Pick up was on time, boat was clean, Captain Nate’s has extensive knowledge of the past history and current day highlights of Marco and Goodland. Made guests feel comfortable, took pictures and shared them. We saw plenty of dolphins and even a sea turtle. We will be repeat customers and also refer others.

Captain Nate seemed to know exactly where the Dolphins were hanging out. At the end, we did some shellung, too. We enjoyed a perfect afternoon.

Nate was the man! We arrived 2 mins late, but we weren’t made to feel that, a big smile from Nate put us both at ease and we set off on a brilliant 2 hour trip. CARE - there is not much parking here - the advert in fairness did say the same - but seriously, with a number of trips happening from Goodland daily, best to get there early to avoid disappointment. The trip was about seeing dolphins and we did eventually get up close to a few, magical videos taken - sheer excitement of being close to these animals is hard to explain, but it really is ! We didn’t see Manatee, but we didnt expect to, its early in the season for these creatures, water’s too cool in Sprint time. We did see more Osprey than Ive seen probably in my life - must have been 50 of them, young and mature birds, hunting, see these hunting and catching fish is something you wont forget easily. Blue Heron, Snowy Egret, Cormorant, tortoise, Burrowing Owl’s - it really was a trip worth doing. Nate too us out to the Gulf of Mexico which was very cool before turning back into Marco in search of the dolphins, which when we found them they were hunting fish. The water here it was explained was mostly 4ft deep for up to a couple of miles out - so safety never felt an issue on the trip - though Nate was an excellent captain and clearly knows his subject matter.

Watching dolphins play in the wake of the small boat was incredible! The boat is quite small but that is perfect in the sheltered waters. It also allows the dolphins to get very close to you. Have your camera ready and be ready to smile.

Great experience and captain Gary was fantastic! 7 year old daughter loved it! Saw many dolphins and had a beautiful cruise on the water. Small boat so not crowded.

The boat was small and private. Captain was very familiar with the area and took us on a great tour or homes looking for dolphins. We saw a bunch of dolphins and the captain was able to have them follow our boat and jump and bodysurf along side the boat. Great experience

Captain Nate made this boat trip the highlight of our stay in Marco. His experience, information and stories enlightened and entertained. Seeing the wild dolphin play in our boat wake is a treasured memory we’ll always remember.

We went on the wild dolphin boat tour with Captain Nate. It was a delightful trip. Capt Nate’s love of nature and his knowledge of the habitat and local species of birds and fish and most importantly dolphins was refreshing and educational. We got to see the fun and play of many dolphins. He got them to join in on the waves created by our lboat - the dolphins swam, jumped and dove in and out of the water watching us in the boat. This was one of the best boat rides we have been on. We will cherish the videos of the dolphins. Capt Nate also helped us retrieve a hat that we lost in the water even after we told him it was ok. All in all this was a very memorable trip that we will gladly recommend for one and all. Captain Nate’s love of nature and knowledge is what makes this even more special. Best!!

Absolutely fantastic trip! Captain Nate was very knowledgeable about marine life, island ecology and Marco island history. As we traversed the bays he pointed out manatees, ospreys and we even had an opportunity to see dolphins catching fish. Captain Nate was awesome! We definitely recommend taking a trip with this thoroughly insightful tour guide.

Beautiful day and a comfortable boat with ice cooler. Fun couple managing the ride for us and tried to impart knowledge of dolphins so help us better appreciate these wild mammals. Then we spotted them and they play ed near us. When Captain Nate sped up the boat, the dolphins played in the wake jumping and flopping! so much fun with nature! Plenty of boat trip time searching for other pods, which we found. Would highly recommend this trip. Ask your questions.

Captain Nate did a wonderful job on our water tour! Pointed out area highlights in Goodland and Marco Island, boated by impressive homes and spent lots of time “playing” with the dolphins! Fun day!!

This tour was awesome! Captain Nate and Captain Jules won me over when they called to ask if I wanted to go out earlier due to a storm likely to hit right during our time out. Went with my two boys, 9 & 4 - they loved it! We saw dolphins and Captain Nate got them to play with us which my kids LOVED, saw baby pelicans, a couple sting rays and multiple manatees including one with a baby! On the way back, they even let the boys drive the boat. We had a great experience, highly recommend to anyone but especially those with kiddos. We even got some restaurant recommendations from Captain Jules!

Captain Nate was wonderful. He is very knowledgeable and called the weather exactly right. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour. We saw quite a few dolphins and he told us the history of the area and of the Dome House. It was fascinating.

Capt Nate is awesome. You feel like you are in the best of hands. He’s extremely knowledgeable and you genuinely feel like he wants you to have a great experience. Jules was fantastic too. They were a great duo for our tour. The boat was nice and comfortable and I am planning on doing it again when my friends come to Florida I’m the next few weeks. I will be a repeat customer !

Captain Nate was great. We learned a lot about the history of this area and got to see playful dolphins. I would really recommend it. It is worth to see the beautiful nature in this area.

We had a great excursion. We saw lots of great wildlife with Osprey nest, Manatees, and lots of dolphins including Knuckles a 60 yo dolphin! It was pretty awesome! Definitely recommend this tour!
