Wild & Scenic Loxahatchee River Guided Tour

Great experience. Our guide, John, was very informative and was very helpful for first time kayakers.

This was a spur of the moment adventure for us that was thoroughly enjoyable. Matthew was a terrific guide with extensive knowledge of the history of the river. He spotted a couple of gators and a few turtles during the paddle and took pictures of them for us. He also took pictures of everyone in our group and texted us copies. I highly recommend this kayaking tour. When you book it, ask for Matthew. You won't regret it.

Candace was our guide and it was just great from the start. It was my family’s first time kayaking and she was patient , gave us a pre lesson and was awesome for the duration of the river tour. Sje did not rush us at all!! The river and environment itself was just beautiful. Candice shared knowledge of the river and its history which was cool. It was just a very neat change of pace family day on the river . My kids already asked when can we do that again and can we please buy kayaks !! Lol oh and I should mention Amanda was great in getting us booked for this tour- Amanda and Candace are just great!

We went on the 2 hour guided kayak tour. John was an excellent tour guide. Friendly and very knowledgeable about the area. Beautiful scenery. Parts of it reminded me of a page out of a storybook. I would recommend this place!

Relaxed, fun and informative kayak outing with Matt as our guide. Well worth doing. Drive up, you’re on the water within 15 minutes. Beautiful Cypress- lined, narrow river with an interesting history. Matt was upbeat and knowledgeable.

What a fantastic tour! Great scenery, lots of wildlife (alligators, owls and turtles) and a wonderful tour guide (Matthew) who was so knowledgeable about the history of the area and animals seen from our kayaks. We’ve done several other kayak tours in Florida but this one was superior, in large part thanks to Matthew! Highly recommended if you’re in the Jupiter area - and a good value for the money.

You feel like you go back in time!! The river is very easy to navigate especially with our expert leader, Matthew. He is very knowledgeable and he even sent pictures to document the experience. Highly recommend this event!!

We had a wonderful tour with Wild & Scenic Loxahatchee River Tours. Donna, our guide, was a pro and led us up and back the river with no problems. She showed us wildlife (gators and gator babies) and told us interesting facts the entire way. We loved every minute.

It was all very well run and easy to park, change clothes, use restrooms, get things from your car, but make sure you have a strong back!!

I enjoyed walking around Riverbend Park trails alongside the Loxahatchee River and elsewhere for free. I enjoyed meeting strangers/new friends.

While the guide/captain gives a great narrative of the river. wildlife and history, the tour boats are the problem. That part of the Loxahatchee River is a slow zone; however, the tour boats often go fast and that can silt up the shallow river and worse it increases the chances of hitting wildlife such as manatees. Additionally, these boats often go up river at lower tide and will hit bottom (just look at the outdrives on the boats for missing paint). This can scar the river bottom as well as damage the eel grass which is a stable for some wildlife.

Not too hot - very comfortable in shadows. No bugs … just a great adventure. Rob was awesome - took some pics for us, taught us ALOT about plants, trees, history of area and of course cool animals living in the river. Saw alligators - Albert, turtles, otter who played with us and fish!

Our guide Rob was very knowledgeable and patient with our large group. Perfect adventure for all ages and a hot day in FL. Tree canopy kept the sun off and we saw turtles, fish, an otter and a healthy size gator. Fun adventure!

Gorgeous lush jungle - tour guide was knowledgeable- saw a few gators. Lots of turtles, fish. Would recommend the store to anyone.

The river guide was very knowledgeable and constantly checking in on us to make sure we were always safe and having fun. Due to low water levels, we had to stand up a few times and drag our kayaks through some shallow parts but it was still a very fun experience! Would definitely come back :)

Coming back was a bit more of a work out but so worth it because there is a current. We saw a very large alligator, a smaller one, many turtles, and jumping fish. The scenery was magnificent.

We had a great time kayaking down the river. Donna our guide was wonderful friendly and fun. We’ll definitely be back again either kayaking hiking or biking.

Our tour with Donna was amazing!! She was very informative and pointed out any wildlife we may have missed otherwise. We saw baby gators, an otter, and so many different species of birds and fish! She obviously loved her job and teaching about the Loxahatchee river and surrounding areas She also gave us restaurant recommendations which ended us up at the best food and atmosphere of our trip, Tiki 52. Highly recommend booking with this company!

It sounded like a guided tour on an air boat. We did not see the word kayak boat tour. We are in our 70´s and 80´s and can’t paddle a kayak. We were told we were getting a complete refund. We wasted a complete morning and a lot of gas because it was not accurately described

We had a great time kayaking down the loxahatchee. Our guide, John was great and very knowledgeable. We saw gators, turtles, birds and many cypress trees. So serine! Highly recommend.

Great tour down the Loxahatchee. Rob was great and knowledgeable guide. Highly recommended even if the weather is not great and the animals are all hunkered down. Beautiful cypress canopy with many tropical and some temperate plant species.

You’ve got a numerous Kayak 🚣 trips and this one with Rob was by far one of the best. He was so knowledgeable about local flora and Fana. He also guided us through some tricky parts of the river. I would highly recommend.

Rob was really knowledgeable on the local flora & fauna. We saw two large alligators & all sorts of beautiful birds & turtles. The guided tour was a good choice; some of the waterways were hard to navigate & there’s a dam to cross.

We have done other kayak tours but this was our first kayak river tour. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable about the area. The river was very high, which made it difficult to see any wildlife along the riverbank. We did see numerous birds, turtles and some baby alligators. Our guide made sure we were safely able to navigate the river. The current was a little stronger in some areas, and it was a little challenging to paddle upstream. Overall we had a wonderful experience and would definitely do it again.

What an experience learned alot of new things on are trip Kyle is a great guide vary Knowledgeable. And vary helpful If we ever come back this way will definitely go again

Richard was amazing, the trip was both fun and informative as Richard has a background in marine biology. We saw so much wild life along the way and learned about many of the plants, mammals and reptiles. The paddling was easy and fun!

Candice was a great guide- a lot of great information about the area, River was beautiful! Saw fries, birds and turtles. Wonderful excursion- highly recommend!

Candace was awesome guide and she even took photos for us and air dropped them to us so we did not risk getting our phones wet. She was incredible.

I highly recommend taking the kayak tour with Richard. We had a great time kayaking down the Laxahatchee River with Richard. He is extremely knowledgeable about the area, including the tress, birds, turtles and alligators. It was a beautiful sunny day and so peaceful out there. We had an excellent day!

Cannot recommend enough! My brother and I went with Candace as our guide, and we were lucky enough to be the only two participants that day. She was so kind and incredibly smart and knowledgeable. She went above and beyond to make sure we were having a good time. We saw lots of cool wildlife, and she took us even further down the river than usual. Thanks so much to Candace!

Richard was the man! Very knowledgeable water guide 🚣🏼 I found the trip to be overall very peaceful, with just enough skill needed with a kayak to also have a little challenge as well.
