Itinerary
Learn about Florida's most beloved marine mammal- manatees, on our manatee season guided 100% clear kayak eco tours! Once you're checked in, we give basic paddle instructions including boat safety, kayaking etiquette, and teach you paddling safety with manatees or your manatee manners! The paddle will last about 2 hours depending on the speed of our group and any wildlife we may spot along the way! This is a wildlife experience and we cannot guarantee that we will see wildlife on our tours- half the fun is learning how to spot the signs and clues that wildlife like manatees leave behind for us to find! The first portion of the paddle is through the quiet and calm coastal waters where we paddle past a Bald Eagle's nest with a chance to see them nesting October-May (tide permitting). We then paddle up the clear waters of the Weeki Wachee, Florida's most iconic and popular freshwater spring for recreation! Weekends and holidays can be busy! Anticipate a great workout as current and wind are sometimes stronger November-March. Our guides will be sure to snap your pics and give some awesome facts about the area at our several picturesque stopping points! We stay in our kayaks.

Gary took us to see manitees in the kayaks.
My tour guide was Gary and we saw manatees.
Jodi was an excellent tour guide. It was a perfect day to be on the water and as a bonus we saw a few manatees. Would recommend Jodi and Get Up and Go Kayak in Weeki Wachee- relaxing and fun adventure.
We had a great time and saw manatees and other wildlife. Jodi is a great tour guide!
Gary is great. We saw manatees. They are very cute
Beautiful morning. Was quite early but the dolphins decided to give us a show and a manatee made an appearance as well. Gia was an excellent guide!
Gia was an energetic and knowledgeable guide who was a pleasure to have in the lead. She found several manatee and gave us time to properly experience their beautiful presence without disturbing or endangering them. We also got to observe a beautiful Bald Eagle in its natural habitat. We had a wonderful time. Thank you Gia.
Did the Clear Kayak Eco tour on March 7 11:00am. Tour starts on Mud River and you wander through some marshy areas and many houses. Wild life was sparse - saw eagles. Turtles, and other birds. Return to starting point on Mud River. Excellent guide in Val who is naturalist. Years ago we did tour which launched kayak at Weeki Wachee Springs State Park. This is better tour and you float kayak down the extremely clear river.
Gary was amazing, we saw manatee and dolphins!
Was overall an exceptional experience and getting to see manatees and Gary was the best!
Great way to enjoy some Florida wildlife! Our guide Jodi was very knowledgeable and showed us so many varieties. We saw manatees, dolphins, turtles, blue and gray herons, pelicans, and a jellyfish...all so close! Highly recommend!
Awesome experience for me and my son. We saw tons of manatees, most of them right next to us or even swam under our kayak. Val was very knowledgeable and an amazing tour guide!
Cancelled due to weather. Cancelled
Gary was the best guide to see our favorite manatees!
Went with Gary but we didn’t see any manatees because too hot. But saw eagle, mullet, bass, small blue heron - great educational trip Jill
Great day out in the water. Gary was great and enjoyed the trip .. let’s save the manatee a!
Gary is the best! Looking forward to see Manatees next time!
Great trip with Jodie! We seen manatees and the route was scenic! Definitely going to do again!
My experience with Gary seeing the manatee was amazing!
Gary was our guide, very informative and interested. No manatees, but still lots of wildlife.
Val was a great tour guide! We saw so many manatees and learned a lot about their behaviors and their ecosystem. It was a great day on the water!
My Wife and I had a great time celebrating her birthday 🎂 kayaking Weeki Wachee Spring and searching for manatees on February 19, 2026. We were lucky to see 3 manatees, an otter, various birds (eagles, blue herons, little blue herons, tricolor herons) and various fish (gar, sheepshead). Our guide was Raven and she was awesome! She was very knowledgeable about Florida’s flora and fauna and engaged with us and the other couple on our tour from start to finish. Thanks again Raven!
Great day with a wonderful guide: Raven took great care of us. She also guided us to a dozen manatees. I highly recommend this to tourists and locals.
Raven was our guide and she did an excellent job kayaking into the perfect spot where we saw dozens of manatees great job Raven thank you!
Had an amazing time with Gary seeing the manatees! Great experience for FL natives and visitors.
Amazing experience with Raven. We learned a lot of ecology knowledge! And clear water for kayak peddling!
Must do. We eye able to see several manatees. Kayaking was easier than expected give the wind and against tide. Our guide Jody was great.
Manatees! Gary helped us find manatees! It was fun and we had a good time. It was very educational.
It was great. Val was extremely helpful and professional. We saw manatees and it was just perfect. I will definitely recommend it to my friends.
Our guide Gary was fantastic! He was calm, knowledgeable, and mixed in a little humor along the way. We had an incredible experience seeing several manatees!
Gary was an amazing and knowledgeable guide. He exceeded our expectations. We seen both manatees and dolphins as well as many birds and wildlife. Highly recommend
A perfect afternoon!!! Gary was a wonderful guide. Very knowledgeable about the area and had a great way of sharing it with us. And we saw manatees!!!
Gary was an awesome tour guide. Really educated in his animals and plants. Was truly a one of a kind experience to see the manatees up close!
my experience with gary was amazing! he was such a great guide and teacher and we saw lots of manatees! gary was so nice and was very accommodating! i lived this experience!!
We definitely saw manatees! We also saw a dolphin and a bald eagle! The path was relaxing and peaceful out there. Jody our tour guide was very engaging and knowledgeable! High recommend.
We came here hoping to see manatees. Brenna was a lovely and knowledgeable guide who introduced us to many other wild animals along the way. Although we didn’t get to see the manatees this time, it was still a good experience to learn about the local wildlife and the efforts to protect the ecosystem.
Highly recommend this tour, if you want to get up close to the manatees and see them in their natural state. Really liked the small group size (less than 10) and our guide, Val, was personable and knowledgeable. The kayaks are clear, a little bit wider than a typical kayak, and doubles. Takes a little bit getting used to rowing a double with a partner than in a single kayak. We have some kayaking experience but the other group that went did not and were able to learn quickly. Saw lots of manatees, which are constantly moving about, coming up for air, and sometimes slide under the kayaks to check you out. Also, saw many pelicans, cormorants, and a kingfisher. Manatee season is only during the colder months as the manatees seek warmer waters in the spring fed rivers, rather than the ocean. Only disappointing part was because of the tides we weren’t able to go into the Weekiwatchee river area and see the manatees in the clear waters. Instead, we were in the Mud River, which as one might expect, was not clear. Since tides are known well on advance, they probably should warn you when booking, which tours are not going to be able to go into the Weekiwatchee. However, because of the abundant wildlife we did see on the Mud, we weren’t too disappointed. Tour leaves out of a fish camp located about 10 minutes east of the Weekiwatchee state park.
Gary did a great job pointing out the wildlife. We loved to see the manatee. Wonderful natural river tour without a lot of crowds.
We had a great time on this tour! Val was friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable. She made the whole experience smooth, fun, and relaxing, and you can tell she truly enjoys what she does. Highly recommend this tour — especially if you have Val as your guide!
Gary was amazing he was kind and funny. We saw a lot of manatees. And he loves to talk I wish he was we got strait to the manatees.but I like it over all.
We toured with Gary today. Only saw one manatee but great experience. An experience I will forever remember from this trip.
Celeste is our tour guide. She is so nice. She shares the story and names of some trees and animals living there, and she knows everything quite well! It’s a enjoyable experience to have fun and learn at the same time!
My sister and I had an amazing tour. The river was so clear, we saw at least eight manatees. Many with calves. It was a perfect day. We really enjoyed our tour with Val. She did a great job navigating the river and giving us some great fun facts about these gorgeous mammals. A great way to spend the afternoon.
Gary was a great leader and knew a lot about the environment. We saw a family of Manatees and all of Gary’s pictures he sent were super well taken.
Great experience. The guide, Celeste was great and very informative. The wildlife viewing was also good. We saw a bald eagle and one manatee.
Great tour, friendly guide, all around great experience. Thanks to Val we had a wonderful tour and it was a rainy day. I think the clear kayaks are the best way to see the river.
Our guide Gary was awesome! So informative and super nice! We were able to see 5 manatees while we were out, and a lot of other wild life! We would definitely come back!
The manatees are giant. 2 manatees swam right under us. Our tour guide Brenna told us lots of cool facts especially about manatees. The manatees had not a lot of scars which was good. The manatees were so cool! The manatees were so cute!! When the manatees came up for air they made funny noises and were amusing to watch. I definitely recommend Brenna to be ur tour guide. This guy told us that there was manatees and we got to go look at them while Brenna kept us and the manatees safe by pulling us away if we got to close to the manatees. It was so much fun especially the manatees. Me my aunt brother and uncle all had the manatees swim under us. Me and my uncle had the manatees swim under us 2 while my aunt and brother only had the manatees swim under them once. But for a first manatee encounter is was awesome! Everyone started calling the manatees sea cows and the manatees were super curious as manatees are. The tour guide Brenna also let me stand up and it was like paddle boarding. She explained everything especially why we couldn’t go up to the manatees more than 10 feet. And also why we can’t let the manatees… bc petting manatees is illegal but your tour guide will tell you that. Brenna told us lots of cool stories about other encounters with manatees and other tours. Like there was a baby manatee that spins the boat in circles. The manatees were bigger than I expected and I loved them! Brenna also had a brother named Ben so it was cool. Brenna also told us how she names the manatees like there was this manatee with a cross scar on its back and the manatee showed up on Easter Sunday so she named the manatee Jesus and said if you didn’t like the name of the manatee then you could call it heyzues. The manatees were probably my favorite part and Brenna’s story’s about previous encounters with manatees.
We had an absolute blast looking for manatees with Gary! Though we didn’t see any today, we saw tons of other beautiful wildlife and learned a lot. Definitely will return with family!
