Great trip! Our tour guide James is a nice guy. We didn’t see any manatees, but we did see dolphins. The mangrove tunnels are really cool..

Cocoa Kayaking did everything right from beginning to end. From booking to the tour itself, they were first class. I especially want to thank James, our guide. He made the tour fun and enjoyable from start to finish and he even took pictures of me and my wife while on the tour, which he emailed to us immediately after the tour. Great excursion 10/10.
Found this on Tripadvisor. Reviews convinced me to book. This was after 8 pm the day before the tour. Within minutes, I received a call and text from a company employee. After talking with her, I knew immediately this would be good. She was helpful and courteous, and answered all questions clearly. We met James our guide and he got us set up. The equipment was in good shape, and he gave us a brief rundown of the tour before leaving. While on the water, he provided clear direction and interesting facts about the area, but he didn't talk so much as to make you feel you're on a bus tour. We were able to take in the scenery and peaceful atmosphere. We saw several dolphins and manatees, along with other wildlife, and the mangrove tunnels were really fascinating. James also took several photos of me and my wife during the time on the water and emailed them to us shortly after our visit ended, which we appreciated. Youn will be very satisfied with this tour, particularly if you have James as your guide. He's a real pro.
We had such a great time kayaking\! Our tour guide, James, was incredibly nice, funny, and helpful, and made the whole experience even more enjoyable\. They provide all the kayaks, life jackets, and gear you need, which was especially nice since we don’t own any of that equipment ourselves\. We were also lucky enough to see quite a bit of wildlife\! We saw dolphins, manatees, birds, and fish\. Of course, wildlife sightings can never be guaranteed because it’s nature, but we really appreciated that we never felt rushed and had plenty of time to stop and enjoy the animals when we came across them\. The tour was very reasonably priced, and we felt like it was absolutely worth it\. We would definitely recommend this experience to anyone looking for a fun, relaxing way to get out on the water and see some wildlife\!
Our family of 7 had a great tour with James as our guide. He made the newbies in the group feel confident as we navigated the mangrove tunnels. We saw a beautiful sunset and caught some jellies in our nets during the bioluminescent part of the tour. Highly recommend this tour!
This was an Easy kayak trip on calm water through a coastal lagoon. James our guide was chill and Knowledgeable. We saw dolphins and manatees( multiple sightings of each). Everyone in our tour group came in pairs so we were on tandem kayaks. This was a good trip well worth the money.
This was an easy kayak trip on calm water through a coastal lagoon. Our guide James was knowledgeable and pretty chill. The water is fairly shallow so the animals are easily spotted. We saw Dolphins and manatees (multiple sightings of each). We did the early (9AM) tour before it got too hot and muggy.
This was our favourite activity of our trip, we were lucky enough to be the only ones on the tour that morning. Highly recommend don't the 9am one, the temperature was perfect, peaceful and saw loads of wildlife including birds, crabs, fish, dolphins and manatees. James was a brilliant guide, lots of information and good chat in between. Thanks
We booked as a family of 4- 2 adults and 2 children and hired 2 tandem kayaks. We ended up being the only people on the tour, and our guide was Susie. Susie was fabulous! She’s very knowledgable about the history of the area, the plants and wildlife and taught us so much on our tour. We were lucky enough to see dolphins, an array of birds and the children caught lots of jellyfish for us to observe. Kayaking through the mangroves was amazing and something we’d absolutely recommend if visiting the area. We had a great time! Thanks again to Susie for ensuring we had a fab time and for taking plenty of photos for us.
Amazing and our guide was really knowledgeable. I know it’s nature and nature can choose to show up or not, but we got lucky and saw plenty especially dolphins jumping out of the water, fish, birds and manatees….truly magical
Our guide Ian was wonderful! We changed our booking time and number of paddlers with no problem.
Amazing tour and guide! We saw manatees, alligators, blue herons and more! Our guide, James, was awesome - so knowledgeable and funny too - top notch!

James was an outstanding tour guide who made the entire experience enjoyable from start to finish. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and shared interesting information about the local wildlite and ecosystem throughout the tour. Paddling through the mangroves was beautiful, and I was fortunate enough to see a variety of wildlife, including birds, manatees, and even dolphins. It was an unforgettable experience that gave me a whole new appreciation for nature. I highly recommend Cocoa Kayaking to anyone looking for a fun, relaxing, and memorable adventure. If you get the chance to have James as your guide, you're in for an incredible experience!

Great for all the families even with small and big kids. Awesome experience that almost once in a life time
Ian did a fantastic job showing us the resident manatees and dolphins. Going through the mangrove tunnels was a very unique experience! 10/10
It was awesome! This is the second time I’ve done it. First time I did it with my family, including two preteen kids this time. I did it with an adult friend both times it was truly amazing.
We had a great time kayaking with our guide Ian. He was knowledgeable and patient and we were able to see manatees and dolphins as well as other wildlife. It was such a unique experience kayaking through the mangrove tunnels. We did the noon tour and had great weather and saw manatees. Definitely recommend! Book this tour and ask for Ian!
We had a great time on our tour! Beautiful morning, lots of manatees out, and spotted a dolphin as well! Our guide, Ian, was incredible and knew his stuff. I highly recommend booking a tour with him if at all possible! He was by far one of the best guides we have had on a kayak tour!
My granddaughter and I did the dolphins and manatees tour with Ian. He did a great job getting us on some manatees and sharing info about other wildlife we saw
This trip was a lot of fun! The guide was really knowledgeable about the area and animals we were seeing. He was also great with children on the paddle. The mangrove tunnel was a fun experience. Our friend recommended this company for their guides specifically and we had a wonderful time! Thank you!
We saw manatees, pelicans, birds and fish, the tour director “Susie” was exceptional! Knowledge, pointing out and explaining the historical history, provided laws and in-depth education on animals that we are seeing. Very worth the money and my time, this made my trip. Great memories and photos (taken by Susie for us). I even have the photo for my Christmas cards this year. We were out 3 hours ( bring water and lotion!). I brought all I needed but others were burned and thirsty.
Ian was our guide and he was incredible! Great knowledge of the area and wildlife! Very personable as well. Also gave great suggestions for around town. Book your tour with Ian! You will not be disappointed. We will be returning. Thanks for a great experience! Dawn and Ron Granaas
The tour was exactly as described on the website. The company did a great job at giving directions and instructions. Our guide, Susie, was great at sharing info, answering questions, and helping us get the most out of the experience. The mangroves were really magical to paddle through and we saw TONS of manatees at the end of our trip up close to our boats. Most of the trip is in the full sun and it is HOT so I recommend extra sunscreen and water.
Susie did a fantastic job! She was very knowledgeable guide and explained the beautiful creatures and flora around us. We saw manatees, spider crabs, and lots of other critters. The mangrove tunnels were beautiful. Kids all had a blast! Definitely recommend!
Susie was a phenomenal guide! She was very helpful and knowledgeable. It was cool to hear all about the mangrove and the conservation efforts/wildlife. Overall, the experience was magical and even more exciting when we saw the manatees at the end. Definitely worth it!
Ian was a fantastic guide! very knowledgeable, and a lot of fun. Gorgeous day, and we saw lots of birds, rays, horseshoe crabs, dolphins, tarpins, and a manatee. Highly recommend!
Had a great time kayaking the banana river Lagoon with my daughter. Our guide was very patient since we are not expert kayakers. We saw lots of wildlife even a manatee or two. My favorite part was going through the mangroves very tranquil. Be sure to have a hat and wear sunscreen.
Great tour and lots of fun. Guide (James) was excellent. We saw a baby manatee and dolphins and the mangroves were really cool to kayak in. Would recommend for sure.
Our Guide James was extremely friendly, extremely knowledgeable and funny as well! Our family truly enjoyed a beautiful relaxing sunny day on the water. We saw wildlife and many manatees ( that went right under our kayaks) super cool experience!
We had the best time! Saw dolphins and manatees! Learned interesting information! Had a lot of laughs! James is an awesome tour guide!!! Would definitely book again!
Ian was a great tour guide. We were.able.to see two manatees close up and the came up to the top of the water. It was a great experience! Ian was very knowledgeable and friendly!
This was an easy pace of kayaking which we really enjoyed. James was full of information not just about the sea life, but with the birds and local trees which made the experience very interesting. We were lucky to see some manatee and dolphins which made it even better. What topped it off was that James took all the pictures/videos of us and the sea life and emailed them to us. Highly recommend!
We had a wonderful time on our kayaking experience. Our guides, Susie and Max, were fantastic, and we actually learned a lot while exploring the mangroves. We also got lucky and saw several manatees during our trip, which made the adventure even more special. My family would definitely do this kayaking trip again—we highly recommend it!

Highly recommend Cocoa Kayaking! I needed a same-day booking, and their online chat team responded instantly to book me for the 6:00 PM Thousand Islands sunset tour. (As a Hawaii local, I loved seeing the familiar area code!) The launch site was a quick drive from my hotel in Melbourne-Viera. Our guide, Ian, was super chill and went out of his way to help our small group spot manatees. Paddling into the mangrove tunnels was a neat highlight—just bring mosquito spray! We had some wind to fight on the way out, but a nice, easy paddle with the wind at our backs on the way return. I had a great time!
We enjoyed our time with Ian. We had the opportunity to see manatees and other wildlife.
We had such an amazing time on this tour. Ian was our guide and he was knowledgeable, calm, and made sure to get great photos and videos. The tour was the perfect length of time; we saw lots of wildlife and loved the mangrove tunnels. We would definitely do this tour again!
Amazing morning kayaking with Ian! He was knowledgeable, friendly, and made the tour feel both tranquil and fun. We saw manatees, dolphins, and lots of birds, and Ian even sent photos and a video afterward. Highly recommend this tour!!
We had a wonderful time on this tour! Everything was very well organized and enjoyable from start to finish. Our guide was incredibly kind and patient—especially with our 8-year-old son, who had lots of questions 😊 Seeing manatees and dolphins in their natural environment was truly unforgettable. It made the whole experience even more special. Highly recommend this tour for families!
This tour was better than any amusement park. The guides were very knowledgeable and the nature is out of this world. The manatees showed interest in exploring what we were. They swam up to us after we stopped approaching them. The guides really made the trip with jokes and local knowledge.
My son and I went on a tour today with Susie. She was very knowledgeable and a great guide. As a local I highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to get out and enjoy Florida
