Sunset Cruise

Definitely a great tour of Boot Harbor Key, didn't realize we'd be going through all the area with the other boats tied out, I just had to trust the process. We arrived right at check in time, signed waivers and awaited another family. We were under way after brief safety briefing. Weather held out even with high & king tides. Andrew the 1st mate was courteous and talkative with all on board offering drinks & snacks as well as requests for music. He also took photos of the families wirh both his phone & our own. Once we came out of the harbor there was the sun, approximately 15 mins from setting. It was perfect. The 7 mile bridge was to our right and sun going down with unobstructed view. Capta even allowed me to briefly drive, which my husband was like uh oh, here she goes.

What a relaxing,fun, enjoyable cruise culminating in a beautiful sunset! Great Cap & first mate, with champagne to boot. Loved it!

Captain Kinsey and First Mate Ryan are wonderful! They work very hard to make it a once in a lifetime experience! The Captain is a professional photographer so you get great photos at no extra charge. It’s well worth time and money!

Our sunset cruise was amazing! The crew was attentive and friendly. The vistas were incredible. The champagne and snacks were an added bonus to this delightful experience. We highly recommend it!

We’ve been on a few sunset cruises in different places and this one topped them all! I mean, come on, the sun is the same everywhere - yes there are some beautiful sunrises and sunsets - but it’s the accoutrements of a cruise that make it memorable, the weather, the environment, the tour guides and your companions. Everything was top notch last Friday evening, the perfect combination. Starting with the boat - it was large, powerful and had room for maybe 20 couples so I never felt crowded or claustrophobic. It was very clean too. Refreshments were included, need I say more? For the 6 or so couples on this cruise, we had several bottles of sparkling wine on board (semi-dry and very good, tasted like a Cremant d’Alsace or maybe a really good dupe) and a chest full of snacks. On other cruises, it was pay by the glass, just saying. I’ve saved the best for last, which is the crew. We were met by Orion, who had us laughing and loosened up before we even stepped on board. He moved around the boat helping people take pictures to capture the sunset and the moment. There was not a paid photographer in sight, which I also appreciated. And Captain Kerry was so knowledgeable and skillful, it really kept us engaged. I’m always trying to learn something, and I quite unabashedly peppered him with questions about the waterways, the keys around us, the style of boats we passed and how people live in the Keys. Did you know there are people who just drop anchor from a regular sail- or powerboat plunk in the middle of the bay and then use a dinghy to commute back and forth to shore to get mail, have a drink, go to work? I’d never seen that! So cool. He also shared suggestions for a few good restaurants that we would have missed on Google. We ended up going to Castaways, a local spot, for dinner and I tried hogfish for the first time, prepared “fresh catch” style with tomatoes, peppers and capers. Cap’n “drove” slowly so we could take it all in and he timed our arrival at an unobstructed viewing point just as the sun was going down, and we watched in silence, accompanied by yacht rock and reggae. It was perfect, and we all felt it. By the time we got back to shore, everyone was mellow, and not from the wine. Most of the couples looked like their cares had melted away and life felt good. Creation is a beautiful gift to us, and we really enjoyed it that evening. 1000 out of 10 I recommend this cruise. God willing, we will definitely do it again. I think I was born for the water and I can’t shake it 😊. PS: The price was great too, especially when you consider the cost of running a large boat. Book direct and you might save a few dollars. We didn’t, but it was the best money we spent the whole week, and now that we’re home we are still talking about it.

Very nice trip and everything was great but the price is a little higher than others I have been on. The crew were very nice and helpful.

We had an amazing experience! Captain Kincey and first mate O’Ryan were great…funny, knowledgeable, and friendly. They even ordered fries for us and did a ‘drive by’ to the restaurant dock to pick them up for us! The sunset was stunning from the water and Captain Kincey even took professional photos of each group of guests with the sunset in the background. I highly recommend!!

Another amazing breath taking peaceful adventure. I am not trying to be that person but if you ever want to get a pre experience of what heaven looks like this is IT! When I say the most beautiful sunset that has ever been seen was captured this evening! The captain and his assistant Erica were so amazing, we were surprised with professional photography photos that turned out amazing! Don’t second guess this book the trip get the experience and have your moment that will turn into a memory!

We had a fun night on the sun set cruise and would absolutely recommend it! Captain Kerry and first mate Mercedes were friendly and knowledgeable. The boat was very clean and comfortable.

Great crew, Capt was very safety concious and both crew was friendly. We had a nice time.

My family and I had a great time with David and Mercedes. David and Mercedes explained all the safety rules and procedures. Mercedes danced with my mom and I when a couple of up to beat songs were played! Book if you want a relaxing ride or a dance or two!

Our experience started with booking the sunset cruise which was a fast, easy and informative experience. Upon arrival; McKenzie and Orion met us and were so personable throughout the entire trip. Myself and two teenage kids. We had a great time. The crew was fantastic and the views even better. The free champaign was nice and pop for the kids. A few chips selection made a good little snack for the ride. Would choose the same boat if I'm here again

We took the sunset cruise with Captain Kinsley and his crew. Checkin was simple and efficient. The passengers were all on time so we left at the scheduled time. We had a beautiful cruise around the bay and out to the Atlantic Ocean. During the cruise, they served us champagne, soft drinks, and water. Snacks were also available; all these were free of charge. The cruise was very relaxing and they crossed back into the Gulf of America right before the sunset. Then we stopped and watched the sun which was beautiful. The captain offered a special sunset toast while we sat there and watched. The crew was spectacular in service. They offered to take pictures and did everything to accommodate us. It was a very relaxing and beautiful evening. I would recommend this company or Sunset cruises as well as the other cruises they offer.

Had a very nice 2 hour trip, extremely friendly staff! Beautiful scenery and relaxed trip. Would purchase cruise again. Only issue with snacks was no diet soda or healthy snacks.

FANTABULOUS! What a fun tour! Hoola Hoopin', Singing, Champagne 🍾 included, Soda, chips, water also included. A little history included. I just say she needs a microphone so she doesn't wear out her voice talking over the excited passengers. Can't go wrong when sunsets are involved! Great sunset tour!

Celebrating our 43rd anniversary was highlighted by seeing the beautiful sunset.

We Love the experience, great both Captain and First Mate. The accommodations on board was excellent with sense of humors.

Which we already knew as we had been on the snorkeling trip in the morning:-) Couldn't have asked for a better last day to our vacation. This was a great sunset cruise! Great Captain and her First Mate. Very hospitable, friendly and funny. We had a great time. Champagne, water, soda and snacks were provided. My only suggestion would be to have some beer, seltzer or bottled ale options. Still a 5/5 experience 🫶

Brandon and Dawn were wonderful and made the trip very enjoyable. The ride was lovely and so peaceful, loved seeing all around on the trip.

We had THE BEST time and our captains (I think it was Mandy and Kerry but I forget now) were absolutely wonderful! The music, the informative tour, the dolphins who surfaced not far away so that we could slow down and watch them - everything came together for a great time before the magical sunset, and Mandy made sure we all got photos! You have to take this tour!

Dawn and Brandon were terrific. Professional enough to feel safe and in good hands, personable and entertaining making sure everyone had fun. I highly recommend Marathon Mermaid for fun outing.

Staff was friendly and knowledgeable, my husband and I had an awesome time. Just relaxing and enjoying the views, champagne and rum punch.

Our last night in Marathon - we we unsure how to spend it. I found Mermaid online and booked the sunset cruise. What a great decision that was. I know there are other choices - but there is no other "Dawn and Brandon" who made the experience all worthwhile. The boat was pristine - like new, so we knew when we boarded this was a step above.... Great time, great vibes, great tunes.... the sunset was awesome.. but the cruise with Brandon and Dawn is the reason you book with this crew!

Captain Dawn and First Mate Brandon were excellent. Lisa was very attentive and helped us switch our reservation. Brandon’s wry humor educated and entertained. He offered to take our pictures as we went under 7 mile bridge. Great job!We saw Colton’s and captain Dawn changed the music to “Flipper” theme song. Plenty of Champaign, sodas, water and chips snacks. Great job

Best sunset cruise we have ever been on. The crew is super professional, nice, and informative. Beach vibe music got people dancing and singing along. Plan on more than a champagne toast, the champagne flowed from beginning to docking. Plenty of snacks and soft drinks are also available. And the sunset looked like a painting.

The sunset cruise was the absolute best!! Dawn and Brandon were AWESOME! We got to see a bunch of dolphins which was absolutely amazing and the highlight of my trip at the keys! Thank you to Dawn and Brandon for the best experience ever.

Took our kids (ages 10, 9, and 7) on the sunset cruise. Staff provided snacks, music, drinks, champagne and entertainment. Very fun, knowledgeable and friendly crew! Would 10/10 recommend for families, couples, groups of all ages. Something for everyone and very accommodating.

We booked a sunset cruise with Mandy & Bill for a Monday evening, and it was gorgeous right up until the time that sunset came around. Before the clouds came, Bill redirected us slightly to see a group of dolphins, and we enjoyed stories of the area and a tour of the inland waterways. There were plenty of chances for good photos before the sun went down, along with some good music. Sorry we didn’t dance! The large pontoons made for a surprisingly smooth ride. I’ll admit it was a little cooler on the water than I expected, and I should’ve brought a light long sleeve shirt. We really enjoyed the trip, and we still got pics at sunset despite the clouds. We had a snorkeling tour later in the week but it got cancelled due to high winds. The weather just wasn’t on our side, but when we come back, we hope to see Mandy & Bill again! Thanks!
