I took the Rainbow River snorkel 🤿 tour thru American Pro with Captain Jake & Guide Laura. It was such an amazing trip! The river was beautiful, the water was full of aquatic life, the river was moving but slow & relaxing. I was able to snorkel the top then dip down to see the springs heads as well as the cavern entrance. Our guide, Laura made sure to point out landmarks as well as fish 🐠 & turtles 🐢. Our captain, Jake was very courteous and helpful. Such a peaceful dive 🧜‍♀️✨🩵

We went diving with American pro Dive to the rainbow River. The Dive shop and Boat crew and Dive Master were all exceptional. The river is such a unique habitat, very different from other dives that you may do, but definitely worth it! Highly recommend

The river was crystal clear and gorgeous!

Rainbow River is a lovely snorkel spot: very easy, great visibility, a lot to see. The operator was kind, professional, and were flexible to the different skill levels in the group. We ended up with fantastic pictures that they took. Thank you!

Eric was phenomenal. Honestly that’s the review. In all seriousness my girlfriend and I dove the rainbow river with Eric as our guide and it was an awesome experience. From seeing huge Gar to feeding bluegill 5 star experience all around.

I knew I wanted to get scuba certified for some time and happened upon All American Pro Diving from a fellow diver friend. Eric was a fantastic dive instructor and cheerleader throughout our course. I felt supported and knowledgeable about every activity before we did them. We also got to see some cool new dive spots - that included both manatees, fish and turtles! Highly recommend the two-day PADI certification class and going to this dive shop. Really wonderful experience and I can’t wait to come back for more courses.

Very knowledgeable staff and try know their business. My guys (husband & bonus son who’s 17yo) had a wonderful time. It was my son’s first time snorkeling. It opened him to a whole new world of adventure. Definitely will be back again. I went to tighten my mask and it broke at the insertion point. No extras were on the boat. The drive from central to dive spot was about 25 minutes. I ended up taking a GoPro and hanging off side of boat and videoing that way. I wish I could have seen it all with my own eyes under the water but next time for sure.

We did a snorkeling trip and a scuba with these guys. Both captains, Aiden and Ryan, were great. Very informative, and didn't mind answering off topic questions. Our guide, also Ryan, took care of us on both trips. We weren't current, so he made sure we had all the help we needed and made sure we were safe and happy. The manatee trip was partially successful, we only saw one grazing, this is fully understandable considering the time of year. Aiden and Ryan decided to take us for a snorkel in another part of the bay so we could see other things and the trip was well worth it. The scuba drift down rainbow river was epic, loads of fish, bubbling springs, and crystal clear water! At all times we felt well looked after, there was no rush, and this is despite it only being thd two of us on both trips. Great company to go with, definitely worth recommending!

Great dive team! Very nice crew very patient with people. Made sure everyone was comfortable before we got in water. Got to see big Gar, turtles and all the different mini springs. Very cool to see!!

The instructor was funny and entertaining. The made the class go quickly and efforforless. I would recommend this class, instructor and dive shope to others.

Rodney is an exceptional instructor. He guided my son through his open water certification, and my son enjoyed the experience so much that he promptly pursued his advanced open water certification. After years of attempting to introduce my son to scuba diving, Rodney's engaging and enjoyable teaching style ignited his enthusiasm to advance further. Rainbow river is so beautiful and our tour guide and everyone at the shop is super nice! Definitely going to check out their other tours next time we’re in town!

The whole team at American Pro was fantastic- we got to dive with Jim at Manatee Springs and the next day we dove with Jim and Ryan captained our boat for the drift dive at Rainbow River. They were great! Our group ranged from very experienced divers to newly certified teens and it was a great experience for all of us! We also spent time in the dive shop with Orville and he was so thorough explaining the equipment and helping us make educated choices about what we need as we expand our kits. Very highly recommend the shop for both equipment and tours!

This is truly a must do for a diver. We were down 55 minutes and saw so much. The caverns that dump in to the river were amazing. Don’t want to spoil the trip but the wildlife is everywhere you turn. This was a great drift dive and highly recommended. Orville and Ryan where well experience with the dive and knowledgeable about what to expect. Plus after the dive you can stay at the park till close and enjoy the beach area, bonus.

Did the dive down rainbow river and the trip was awesome. Jim and Aden took great care of us, and the river is a really neat experience with all the sand bubblers and bigger springs along the way. Loads of largemouth bass to watch if you enjoy seeing fish hunt, and a huge group of spotted Gar near the end of the drift.

Great day snorkeling Rainbow River with Captain Aiden and Orville our in water guide who pointed out Springs and different fish. Made all our guests comfortable and feel safe. Definitely recommend!

Rodney was amazing. Trained both my kids for open water certification. Very patient and didn’t move forward until skills were master.

Awesome trip and incredibly entertaining guide. Would do again, the crystal river is beautiful and rods commentary helped pass the time.

Amazing teacher Rodney. He worked extremely well with our kids made them feel comfortable and us as well. They did not have any issues and gave great tips as well. Great place to take that step.

American Pro Diving Center had the perfect opportunity for a warm-up dive for my scouts on their way to SeaBase diving for a week in Key West. They got us all fitted with rental gear and took us out on their boat to dive the Crystal River. The water was sooo clear! Mike and Austin made it a great experience for us from beginning to end. They even had great videos and pictures of the dive we could purchase back at the store. We will be back for future dives!

Had 2 great dives at rainbow river and devils den with dive guides Mike and Eric! Crystal clear visibility and saw lots of fish, turtles, and springs and beginner friendly. Very professional, friendly, and polite staff and they pointed out all the cool spots and took lots of great pictures. Would definitely come back to do the rainbow river night dive and blue grotto🤙🏽

We dove the Rainbow River and had a great time. Orville and Austin were not only fun guides but also well prepared divers. We went over a thorough debrief, and Orville led the group with a diver's buoy to mark our presence in the river. Great time and would recommend!

Eric did a great job with helping me acquire my advanced open scuba certification All the staff was very friendly and communicative.

W did a scuba dive tour on the Rainbow River. The boat captain was Austin, and our dive guide was Eric. They were both friendly, professional and extremely knowledgeable. It was a wonderful experience and we will do the dive again in the future. American Pro provided the scuba tanks free of charge, and allowed another friend of ours to snorkel along with us. The entire staff was very cooperative in setting up this charter--we have done many scuba charter trips in the past, and this experience is as good as it ever gets! Note: American Pro Diving has changed ownership (September, 2024) and their commitment to quality service is as high or higher than it ever was. If you are diving or snorkeling in Central Florida/Crystal River, look these folks up!!

Rod did an amazing job with my daughter and I at both Blue Grotto and on the Rainbow River. He finished up her certification dives and we had a great time together. She was a bit nervous, but he did a great job of helping her get over her nerves and feel comfortable. A great experience!

Captain Austin & dive master Jim were outstanding guides for our drift dive at Rainbow Springs… the boat dropped us off & picked us up at each point. No need to go swimming with full scuba gear to find the boat…

This is a gorgeous dive, in an only-in-Central-Florida setting. You drift in a gentle but undeniable current as amazing Florida wildlife and vegetation watch you go by, often with little to no fear. As I was poking around the sandy bottom, watching the spring water burble up through the sand, I was surrounded by bream (I think?), often just inches from my mask and eyeing me curiously. Not to mention the scores of gar that followed us through one section. Plus turtles, and bass, and several more critters I can't identify... ...but our awesome guide Rodney certainly could. He was fantastic at pointing out all the best sights, and I felt like my young nephew — out for his first post-cert dive — was in great, capable hands. This was probably my 7th or 8th excursion with APD, and they NEVER disappoint ❤️. NOTE: The new owners now supply 5mm wetsuits to rent, which is a MAJOR upgrade. 3mm suits, previously their only offered rental option, just don't cut it in the constant 72-degree springs, but 5mm is plenty. Thanks for that upgrade, new owners!!

The staff at the shop were incredibly friendly and helpful, fitting of the rented gear was made a lot easier by the dive guide and the actual dive was gorgeous. You gave us heads up about cool things to look out for, went at an easy pace, and Our group felt safe the entire time. 10 / 10 recommend these folks for anyone looking to snorkel or scuba diving in the crystal river!!

Rodney was fantastic. Couldn’t ask for a better guide. He was safe and careful which was important to us. My daughter is blind and he took excellent care of her while we were having our diving experience would definitely recommend it and do it again.

What a fabulous dive shop. Our guides went above and beyond to ensure our family had the best possible experience. All the staff we dealt with were friendly, fun, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. The rental equipment was in excellent shape, and our guides took pictures of both our snorkel excursion and river dive for us to take home. This was the highlight of our vacation.

Rainbow River scuba Dive Our dive master took the time to explain the river and made sure we were all ready to go before heading out. He pointed out the springs in the river, and all the cool areas to see. Water was clear and beautiful! It was fun seeing the kayaks above you enjoying the day!

The entire staff was really friendly and made the dive fun. We had to make a last minute change to our dive trip date and they were very accommodating. Our captain, Aiden, and dive guide, Austin, were friendly and knowledgeable about the River (which is actually a spring). We saw a lot of marine life and thought the boiling sand was cool. Visibility was awesome. It is a very shallow dive between 20ft and the surface.

My partner and I did the PADI open water course here at American Pro Dive. Our instructor Eric was great! He was knowledgeable and patient, everything an instructor should be. He encouraged us to do a dive after being certified, so we took the advice and did the rainbow river tour. It was a great first dive out of the class!

Very unique snorkel and dive experience. The shop/operator got in touch with us beforehand to ensure they had all the info from us and set expectations. Austin and Mike were super friendly and accommodating the day-of. 100% would recommend and come back!

The dive was amazing; the people at American Pro Diving Center are exceptional: Divemaster Rodney, Captain Ryan, smiling Abby in the shop, & co-owner Paul... each was friendly, helpful, and professional. I happily shared my dive with a mother & daughter who joined for a Discover Scuba... they were natural and enthusiastic first-time scuba divers. On a remarkably cold 45F & overcast day, the water was a warm 72F & crystal clear - admittedly a welcome improvement for this Pennsylvania quarry diver. After Rodney completed new diver skills training with the ladies in a small shallow cove, we descended then drifted downriver for more than an hour. We saw fields of waving sea grass, sand boils, schools of gar, and the coolest for me: cormorants swimming above and below the surface. At the end of our dive, Captain Ryan greeted us on the boat with towels and steaming cups of hot chocolate. All rental gear and vehicles were in excellent condition. I can recommend American Pro without hesitation. I'll be back for sure... for other excursions and to repeat the Rainbow River dive with buddies.

My friend and I had a great time. The rainbow river dive was perfect, peaceful and beautiful. Orville was such a great guide. He showed us all the best spots during the dive. Aiden, the captain was also very helpful with making sure we got the most out of our experience by pointing out wild life and being at our side in case we needed him. Definitely would recommend!

The trip over with American Pro was comfortable and convenient. Their boat was very nice, and our guide and boat captain were friendly and entertaining.

My hubby took the open water certification course with Instructor Jim at American Pro dive center over the weekend & we did the Rainbow River drift dive together on Monday afternoon with Captain Dirty Mike & Instructor/Captain Rodney. Wow! What an amazing time we had! We just can’t recommend American Pro enough…they are so welcoming & have a really great owner Paul & the best staff around. We will definitely be back & have been recommending a trip to this beautiful town & dive center to all our friends back in PA. My hubby Josh had an amazing experience & is already talking about working toward his advanced open water certification. Thanks so much for being so amazing!

Captain Aiden and Dive Master Austin provided a brilliant outing for me scuba diving and my husband as a passenger on the boat. Their knowledge of the local wildlife both in and out of the water really added to the enjoyment of the trip.

My 16-year-old son and I had a great experience on a night dive of the Rainbow River. Our diver master was Austin, and our captain was Aidan, and they were both excellent. They were both super friendly and welcoming but also professional, and we felt confident they would make sure we had a good experience but did so safely. The night dive itself was very cool. We saw small snapping turtles, gar, and plenty of other fish. But just the process of diving at night in a slowly drifting river was a very unique experience. The river/spring water is surprisingly clear, so the visibility was great. Over all, my son and I are both glad we did it, and very pleased that Austin and Aidan were our guides! Highly recommended!
