Lots of fun for adults and kids. Animal shows and a fun tram road through acres and acres of trees/plants. Admission price was fair and a nice way to spend a few hours visiting. Very well maintained facility.

A lovely find and very much worth the money paid. We spent a cracking 4 hours at this park. A very unusual experience, feeding the flamingos and other birds. My only comment on this was we were only allowed to buy 3 packets of food, in a party of 4? Does not make sense to me. What if we turned up with 4 children, do we pick our favourite 3? A max of 1 per person makes sense but not a max of 3 per party, regardless of party size, makes no sense at all. Visiting the old house and learning the history behind it with the wonderful volunteers there was very interesting and worthwhile.
Had beautiful walking paths. Could use flip Flops or sneakers. . Very clean. Worker were delightful and animal life was adorable. Love the rehab/release aspect! All proceeds go directly back to the animals. Would definitely go again.
Amazing experience!! Everything was well organized. Lots to see and experience. Would definitely recommend
Wonderful place to visit for bird and plant lovers! We got to feed the flamingos, the older ones are gentle, the babies are wild!😂 We visited the butterfly conservatory but in my opinion we saw more outside in nature. We learnt alot on the tram to get the conservatory however, leant alot on many different plants and trees. Also there peacocks that roam freely, they were beautiful!
Very shaded so it wasn’t that hot. A lot of animals roaming which offered a unique experience. Throughout the sanctuary, there are places you may enter with AC. The tram ride was very informative. Our guide Carol was knowledgeable and entertaining. Overall, great value and experience.
We debated going because of the heat. Almost the entire park is covered with a beautiful canopy of the botanical gardens. It was beautiful and a pleasant surprise. We arrived just in time to see the Wildlife Encounter show. Before the show we watched an informative video about the Everglades. We liked that. The staff was good about telling us where a feeding and talk was happening next. That was nice also. We did take the tram ride. It was a great way and only way to see the rest of the park and walk through the Butterfly exhibit. There was a lot more there than the botanical gardens and flamingos. When back in the area, I would go there again. I'd like to take our Grandkids. FYI: Do not take any bird feathers, especially the Peacock feathers. It was explained to us how filthy they are being full of mites and feces. In July, there wasn't a line or wait to get in.
We had fun! A bit wet due to the unpredictable weather but a great visit for the family! Would love to go again if we make it back down there
You get really close to the birds. Also, otter feeding time is between 12–145, if you are lucky enough to be there, it’s super fun to see the otters. They also have a snake show and tell, I think it’s at 130 and 330. It is a super fun place and I highly recommend.
Beautiful grounds with plenty of places to rest as you explore. Knowledgeable tram guide shared facts and figures that brought the history alive for us.
It was different but beautiful you go on a tram for a tour the flamingos are walking freely around you they have 2 baby black bears exhibit along with a lot of other sights to see
Take the tram around to save on the walking, cool off in the shop and bug exhibit
Make sure you take the tram. Lots of good information and the tour guide was absolutely amazing. She deserves a raise
This is a great day out. Entering the park through the gift shop there are peacocks wandering on the grass. In addition to flamingos there are alligators and many other bird exhibits. The tram ride around the park was excellent.
It is a very charming place! The plants and trees are gorgeous in addition to the interesting birds and other animals. There is a tram that takes you around the park every half hour which we went on 4 times! Each driver/narrator had something else to say! They also had a butterfly area that was lovely.
OUTSTANDING! the facilities, staff, wildlife and exhibits were superb. 4 hours was not enough time to see everything! This place would be a great adventure for families, Scout groups, school classes of all ages, couples and singles. So glad we discovered this gem on Viator. It was well worth the cost - especially since admission fees go towards rehabilitating the wildlife on site.
So beautiful & staff were super friendly. We got there around 3-3:00 & left just before closing time (5:00pm). We were able to see almost everything except the pumas which they have out earlier in the morning. We chose not to get on a tram but we were glad we didn’t. I enjoyed the experience more being able to go at my own paste & we were still able to hear some of the information about the animals as the trams went past. They had tons of different animals, insects, reptiles & plants. Beautiful garden & an amazing experience to see so many plants & animals in an almost natural environment. Would definitely recommended to anyone amazed by plants & animals & who enjoy walking! Beautiful experience overall!!
Always a joyful experience! The wildlife shows and tram ride never fail to amaze. Excellent adventure for all ages.
Great place to spend a day and learn as well. Amazing animals and staff. The place is clean well managed.
Having lived in Florida for many years, this was our first visit to Flamingo Gardens. The tram tour was wonderful. We learned historical facts and about the trees native to Florida. We especially enjoyed visiting the Wray house. And seeing the flamingos.
Bring a water bottle or buy a water cause they have refillable stations throughout the park, make sure you get over to the free tram ride. Enjoy the animals make sure you find a white peacock, the sea otters, and the new baby panther
We visited the site on a Wednesday afternoon. It was a beautiful day, with temperature in the low 80’s. We took the tram tour which went around the garden. It was a narrated tour. The guide pointed out the various plants and animals as we passed each site. It was interesting to hear the information and the history behind the garden. The tram tour lasted about 25 minutes. We also attended the Wildlife Encounter Snow. The presenter brought out three separate animals and gave us background on each. She got the kids in the audience involved. The presentation lasted about 20-30 minutes. We then walked through the garden and saw the various exhibits. My wife enjoyed feeding the flamingos and other birds. The bird food was purchased at the ticket counter. We were there for a little under two hours.
Nice afternoon activity while enjoying Fort Lauderdale. Great staff and a home town feel. Loved the animals and botanic gardens and history.
Great place and do alot of good for the animals friendly staff money goes to safety of the animals and they release the animals if possible
Perfect day to visit this beautiful sanctuary, Monday afternoon. No huge crowds to fight, gorgeous weather in mid-February. Saw lots of interesting birds up close, some would even walk up to you for food. But if you're going in the afternoon, don't bother paying a dollar for the bag of flamingo food. The flamingos won't eat it -- they're all full from being feed all morning long. None of them were interested in our handouts at all. And you're not supposed to feed the peacocks according to what was written on the bag of food. I think you can feed the other birds though. You may want to ask at the ticket counter. The live animal event featured a blind albino opossum and an teeny tiny owl on this day -- they have different animals on different days. This is not a zoo -- it's an animal rescue and sanctuary, so the talk they gave at the event centered around how they help the animals and what the public can do to help the animals. Education. Love that. Beautiful peacocks everywhere. The butterfly room wasn't as filled with butterflies as much as I've seen at other exhibits like the Milwaukee Public Museum, but maybe that depended on the time of year or something. Take the tram ride to see the whole park. When we went there were two huge gators in a smallish pen, perhaps they are waiting to be moved to another place where they can have more room, I'm not sure. The bear had unfortunately passed away, so was not on exhibit. But they had a puma cub that was new to the place, I think the sign said it was the very first day it was on exhibit so they were asking the public to be restrained a bit so as not to frighten it. We spent about 2-3 hours there and had a great time.
Amazing place to learn about Florida flora and fauna. Very affordable, best kept enclosures, environmental enrichments are excellent.
We spent a beautiful day walking around this gorgeous sanctuary. There is a large variety of very pretty birds, alligators, cute otters swimming around and other animals that were rescued and in different states of rehab. We caught an informational show with some of the animals and watched the flamingos be fed while learning about different birds. There were family, friends and older people but it was not crowded. We also bought some cute things for our granddaughters. It was absolutely worth the entrance price.
Overall great experience One thing I would like to see is the grounds being kept a little cleaner Someone just spraying off poop everywhere
Great time..really interesting and the crew were friendly and organized!!
Had a good time other than it was cold. I would like to do this one again when it’s warmer. Baby panther was cute.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the park! It was an "old Florida attractions" bucket list visit. Staff were friendly and we enjoyed the shows, tram ride, the Wray House and exhibits.
It is very easy to buy tickets from Viator, it even comes with some discount. The Flamingo Garden is an excellent place to be.
You can go through it on your own and you will see so many beautiful animals. Highly recommend you should go
You still need to wait in line to show your tickets, and get the map of the park, with the activity schedule.
It was really nice and we had alot of fun walking around exploring eating ice cream etc and watching the flamingo was our favorite
The time we spent at Flamingo Gardens was interesting and pleasant. We recommend this activity to others.
It was not a clean place. I cringed every time I walked. It smelled of bird urine. Employees were just playing around with each other. Would not recommend it. Not as many flamingos as I've seen at zoos etc. But at least they were in a clean area.
Very wonderful experience! Beautiful environment, birds, and animals! Great gift shop. Lovely staff.
Nice park, with many bird and other animals to see. This is an animal sanctuary where they also take in wild animals and birds with the goal to heal them and re release into the wild.
Flamingo Gardens is one of the most charming hidden gems. This wildlife sanctuary is surrounded by tropical landscapes in a way that feels both peaceful and inspirational.
It took a bit to get the flamingos to come over to feed them but it was so very worth the effort!! Seeing pure joy on my wife’s face so wonderful!!
We needed an activity to do after a cruise since we had 12 hours until our flight home. This was a relaxing way to spend the day before going home. The peacocks and flamingos were beautiful. There were also other animals such as gators, iguanas, turtles, owls, eagles and otters. We rode the tram to the back to see the botanical garden and the butterfly conservatory. Also toured the Wray Home Museum. It is great that they are a wildlife sanctuary.
We came here as part of a cruise excursion. It's a nice spot to visit on a hot day. Lots of shade. The flora and fauna is amazing. A nice park to spend an hour or two if taking your time to visit all of the animals, while also admiring the beautiful plants, trees and flowers.
Not too much to see or do. Poor directions, actually passed it and had to go back… construction etc.
We had a late flight out of Fort Lauderdale Airport and searched for a way to spend the day. We chose this place based on reviews. We enjoyed our day. We saw many birds and other animals. We watched a live show and rode on a tram tour. There was a food truck where we had lunch. Since it was a weekday, the crowds were low. Overall, a nice way to spend a few hours.
I loved this experience. My 6 year old go a little bored but for adults and older children this is beautiful. He did love feeding the birds. I loved the beautiful birds and other animals. Use bug spray!
It was like entering a forest, mist in the air. And then all the beautiful animals and plants and flowers. I really enjoyed it ! Good little walk , I had lunch there also.
There were so many more things here other than the flamingos but was pleasantly surprised with all there was to see! The gardens were beautiful and history of the property was nice to learn about. I would definitely recommend if you're in the area!!
An interesting place to explore. All the animals in captivity are rescue animals. The enclosures alloqxyou to see a good view. Good information about all animals on display. Some free roaming raccoons and iguanas too. It is very hot and humid so carry water with you. Much of the site is shaded but be prepared for the sun. There is a free tram service to the more distant areas every 30 mins. We intended to get lunch. Only the snack bar seemed to exist ( I asked about a restaurant and they said this was all they had. So the website is wrong) food choice poor and very disappointing for vegetarians. My wrap was tasteless and had less than a teaspoon of hummus in it. Dreadful!
It is an amazing place! I highly recommend it! They have different butterflies, trees, plans, a bobcat, alligators and flamingos!
