We had a great time kayaking the area at night and watching all fish feed. Our guide was very educated about the area, eco system and wildlife in the area. Would definitely recommend.

Itinerary
We'll start by paddling through protected waterways in St. Pete Beach first stopping at a mangrove island that's home to hundreds of birds including Pelicans, Cranes, Egrets, and Double Crested Cormorants.
We'll see the beautiful arches and architecture of the Pinellas Bayway Bridge that crosses from St. Pete Beach to Tierra Verde, Florida. We call this location selfie heaven because of the views of the amazing bridge tunnel lit up at night. If the tide is right well also go under a smaller tunnel doing what we call the kayak limbo!
Other than Tampa Bay this is the only other bay in the Tampa area but it borders the beaches and therefore has much clearer water conditions. We will paddle through the shallows of this bay feeding fish and discovering crabs, conchs, starfish and other sea-life as we illuminate the sea floor!

It was a lot of fun. I had never been kayaking before but it was relatively easy to do. Bring a towel to lay over your legs if you don’t want to get soaked.
This was a fun activity that most people should be able to do. Although you should note you will be going with the current one way and against on the way back. So you’ll be in for some good arm exercise! Once at the bridge you’ll be amazed by its beauty and charmed by the many fish swirling around you! Great nighttime fun for anyone!!
They were a little late giving the location, but the tour itself was fantastic. The kayaking was great with lots of fish at the feeding.
Highly recommend. The tour guides were very friendly and knowledgeable. We had a great time. Very glad we did the tour.
Really fun and refreshing experience. Our guides were kind and engaging. You follow the guide down the river and feed the fish and watch them go under your kayak.
Great experience. Second year in a row. Don’t miss the great time and experience on the water. Tour guides (Grant and Frank) are awesome and knowledgeable about the experience and environment around you.
Cool experience. Saw lots of catfish right next to and under our boat. Took family including 3 teenage boys and they even liked it!
Guides were very nice and personable. Once on the water guide was so far forward couldn't hear anything he was saying. Only provided one light per boat, not the 2 or 3 that appear in their promotional pictures on their site. Some boats had the lights in a good position to see through the illuminated bottom, but many did not. I was also not given any food to feed any of the fish, though some others were. Would not recommend
What a great experience! James was quite knowledgeable and shared a lot of insights about the area. It was a perfect night for kayaking.
Just meh. Requested in advance, but did not get separate kayaks. Wished there was a little more light on kayaks (only 1 in front had lights). Not very interesting, only saw a couple catfish.
Great experience! My boyfriend and I did the tour in a tandem kayak. It was really fun! We saw a lot of fish. It was scenic and beautiful! Enjoyed the glass bottom of the kayak and the LED light attached. Would definitely do it again!
It was nothing like the picture advertised. Nothing to do with sharks. We assume someone’s kayak scared a manatee. Nearly flipped them over. Lights on front of boated only were dim. Couldn’t see very well. Saw catfish but nothing like advertised.
This was an awesome experience! I would not suggest it for small kids, but inexperienced canoe and kayak riders would love this! Its a bit of a work out but SOOOO worth it! You get to see many different sea animals; we saw shrimp, swimming crabs, sleeping pelicans, squawking Ingrids, and a few beautiful dolphins!! The most exciting part was posting up under the big bridge and feeding the swarm of catfish! It was so cool, they come out of nowhere, ready to hang and get free food!!! 🙌🐠🐟🐬 The two guides Jake and Andrew were awesome, understanding, and very kind! Great experience all around!
Super fun experience for first timers. Guides were so friendly and knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend.
Super fun experience! A little hard to hear our guide Jake. Wish we would have gotten to learn more tour wise but overall super fun experience. Tip- stay closer to the guide if u want to hear the instructions😆 get the kayak with the white led!!!
It was great! the views were awesome and the guides were great at telling you everything you were looking at. There was thousands of fish to feed there. 10/10 would recommend.
The guides were funny and friendly! I had a lot of fun. The catfish were so cool. Once you get to the bridge you will see more of you are closer to the group.
Peaceful, knowledgeable guide, fun for the family. Beautiful scenery and fun feeding the fish. Beautiful transition from dusk to night. The lighting was amazing.
It was definitely an amazing experience. We really enjoyed ourselves and the staff was great and helpful.
I understand that they had to cancel due to weather and that is not their fault, however, the absolute total lack of communication from them was awful. I called the number so many times and got ahold of no one, I messaged, I asked questions beforehand, and nothing. They only reached out to cancel and offer a reschedule or refund. It was our last day in Florida so I requested a refund and they didn’t say a word after. Several days later, after I’d requested a refund through the booking site itself, it was completed. But I never heard a single word from them and was at the point I was going to have to combat the charges at my bank. What seemed like a really fun experience turned into so much frustration and utter disregard for someone who had paid money to use their services. If there is any chance of cancelling due to weather, do not schedule. I can’t speak to the experience itself since it was cancelled, but their communication and business skills are absolutely terrible.
The tour was not LED by any means. We saw absolutely zero sea life. I was okay wih not seeing but do not have a tour advertised as LED. So disappointing and not worth the money. The tour guides were very nice and informative but there was not much they could do about the experience. So disappointing!!!
Such a unique and fun experience. Our guide and the entire crew were incredible. Knowledgeable, funny, and great to be around. The guys helped my elderly mother in and out of the kayak without hesitation. Since my mum was with my husband, I kayaked solo, and had the absolute best time. Thank you to everyone at Sharkey’s!
We did the lighted night kayak on night one of our spring break trip. Make sure to dress warm as the breeze and colder weather rolls in at night. It was the highlight of our trip! We learned some really interesting facts about the area and were amazed by all the fish that came out under the bridge. Amazing family experience that we will remember. The guides were informative and we never felt rushed. Even as beginner kayakers, we fit right in. Never felt like we were going to tip over. And even if we did, we had life jackets (which also kept us warm in the breezy weather). We launched off a ramp and never had to get our feet wet. Being towels to cover your lap- that was the only area that got a little wet from the paddling.
The tour guide and crew were friendly and attentive to all of us in the group. We paddled out quite a ways and stopped under the Pinellas Bayway to see catfish and then paddled back. There isn't much to see around you since it's night time except some houses along the bay. It seems like a great idea but it wasn't that interesting
I have been trying to reach someone at this business for the past two days. I have sent multiple texts, called, left voicemails, and sent emails. No response. Our original reservation was canceled due to weather conditions and we rescheduled for two days later, but it is still too cold and windy. We want to cancel, but no one has responded. Very frustrating experience.
An engaging experience with a friendly and chatty guide. We learned a lot about the oysters and conch. It's nice to see the houses and the bridge lit up at night. You don't see many fish other than the catfish you feed at the end under the bridge, but it's a fun evening activity for any level of kayaker.
This was a fun experience to do while in town and was nice to see St Pete from the water. The tour guide was very friendly!
We had an amazing time. Love the tour guides. The lighting on the kayaks were incredible. Just have fun
We had a great time, the guide knew a lot about the local wildlife and habitat. It was definitely worth it
We really enjoyed the tour. The kayaks were comfortable, the tour guide was patient, very friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend.
We had a great time on the night kayak tour. Logan was a good guide. It was a highlight of our Florida trip so far.
LED kayaking was so much fun, the waters were calm and the glow made it look so cool. There was plenty of catfish following us. Very interesting and fun adventure.
Great tour! The light up kayaks were awesome and we had beautiful weather. There was a slight delay in the beginning, but it all worked out.
Really good bunch of guys. The tour was fun with great conversation and storytelling. Lots of fish to see at night.
The guide was stellar! He had so much knowledge about the water and the creatures in it. And it was a beautiful night that ended in a picture by the guide. So much fun! And the fish were extra friendly. So much so one popped into our boat lol.
It was a perfect night. James was a great guide and very knowledgeable about salt life. I would suggest this to anyone who loves the water, kayaking and the beauty of the water at night. Experience was just as described. You won’t be disappointed!!
Went with the family in this fun little trip out and back for night time kayaking. Clear bottom boat, the light in the water and then gave us fish food to attract and see tons of fish was great. The kids loved it a lot. Easy trip with light paddling, so it was great for our beginner family members who had no experience before. The tour guides were great, very friendly and fun. Would recommend this trip to everyone!
The guide grant was very knowledgeable about tell the birds and wild life. Fish were coming right up to the boat as well as underneath
We did not kayak out to where it stated online. If I would have known that the location was this bad, I would have not wasted my money and time on this trip. It was also a very short time out on the water. It took me longer to drive to this event then the time we actually spent on the water. Also, the dumping of the dried fish flakes was not ideal. Dumping dried fish flakes into Tampa Bay can have a negative impact on the aquatic ecosystem. Overall, very disappointing.
Our entire family enjoyed this cool and informative tour! The waterways were easily navigable and the guide offered clear instructions once we got going. Saw lots of wildlife outside of the fish feeding including crab, starfish, conch shells and other fish.
Very relaxing and fun. Enjoyed feeding the fish and paddling at night on the kayaks. The guide was knowledgeable about the area and shared interesting information.
Our tour guides, James and Grant were awesome with extensive knowledge wildlife. LED clear bottom kayak night tour is a must do. It was awesome seeing manatees, lots of little fish, dolphins, and sea urchins. This is also a great adventure for young ones. Also, sometimes the fish jump in the boat. We had one kid on the trip he might have been 7-8 but he laughed with excitement the whole time. The tour is done in the bay so you don’t have all the ocean waves making it safe. We were staying in Clearwater and drove the 52 minutes to Saint Pete and it was well worth it. We loved every minute of it. Thanks Juanita and Trey from Texas
A great experience of being on the water at night. The scenery and lights under the Bayway Bridge were amazing. The knowledgeable guides made the tour interesting and fun. Well worth the time and price.
It was fun. This was my first time and I didn’t expect this level of difficulty. I rode by myself which made it a little more challenging but it still was a great experience.
Knowledgeable tour guide. The catfish feeding was an incredible experience! The clear bottom kayaks allowed fantastic views of fish and sea grass.
You get pretty wet from paddling. The lights aren't really as bright as pictures show, but you can see directly below your kayak and the fish food does bring up small schools of small fish. Good for younger kids (13 and under).
Great experience, crew was wonderful. only drawback was old/dirty kayaks and life vests. Really cool experience overall
My husband and I had an awesome time on the LED glass bottom boat tour. We had a great time. Met some really wonderful people. Took lots of pictures and videos. It began to storm while we were out and our tour guide got us back safely.
An initial kayaking experience for our young grandchildren. They enjoyed it. Very safe environment for them. We didn’t see much of the local sea life. In comparison, on the Atlantic side of Florida, there’s much more to see and experience around Coco beach area that we did with other family members.
