Sea Rocket Sunset & Intracoastal Cruise In Fort Lauderdale, Fl

I booked this reluctantly to fill some down time before a cruise. Only half interested but it turned out to be lovely. Our guide (John ?) was incredibly hospitable and shared great stories about the water ways and the scenery . We did a smaller boat for the sunset cruise and enjoyed every second of it. Great pre dinner activity.

I booked this excursion for myself and 6 guests. I received a mesage from the company that the boat would not be going out due to low attendance and was asked if I could rebook. We did not have other availability so was told I would receive a refund. I have yet to receive my money back and the people at Sea Rocket have stopped replying to my messages. Would not recommend booking through them unless you want to get scammed.

Horrible experience. We took an uber over there and when we arrived no one was there to take us on the boat tour, it’s my birthday so that’s why we were going. No one ever showed up. Called customer service and they couldn’t help at all. Still don’t have a refund yet either. Just a horrible experience with no apology at all Very disappointing overall and ruined my birthday night

Captain Ethan was great ! Friendly, informative and Fun . We had a great time on our last night here in Ft. Lauderdale , the sunset cruise was such an awesome way to wrap our vacation . Absolute beauty views and didn’t hurt that the company offered us great service and a lot of memorable pictures to take home !!! Golden hour just hits different on the water ! This boat tour is worth trying. The weather was great, the adventure, the information given about the houses and boats in the area, was educational.

Very disappointed in the rude way we were treated. After learning we’d have to sign a waiver to participate we decided not to risk an injury to already sensitive backs. When we called to let them know they refused to give a refund and were extremely rude about it. The waiver required us to assume ALL RESPONSIBILITY for any action or outcome, even including their ow negligence. My advice - Stay Away!

Due to a time conflict I wasn't able to make the original day that I scheduled. The tour operator was kind enough to reach out to me and offer to fit me in on a different day. I thought that was amazing because I wasn't expecting it at all.

Per the description on TripAdvisor this was supposed to be 70 minutes long cruise .however it ended in 55 minutes.

Driver took dog with him and as cute as it was, it was distracting when trying to discipline the dog. My kids were mortified since they love dogs so much. Blue is a good puppy but the owner might not be so much

You dont need to be there 20 or 30 mins before. Unless you just need time to find the place. There is no one waiting to check you in or sign waivers, if you missed the email, that you didn't know you were going to get, until the boat arrives at the dock with the crew. There are no obvious signs or instructions as to what actually happens. This tour is short. Left dock at 6:20 and arrived back in less than 50 mins. The boat itself was great as was the crew.

Plenty chill ride, was very calm ride while playing music. Chilled out on the ocean for a little watching the sunset then came back where the captain told us about random things around Ft. Lauderdale. Overall pretty solid and worth the money.

Boat was comfortable. Crew was nice and respectful. It was not what I was expecting for a sunset cruise. We cruised slowly by yachts and multimillion waterfront homes. Nothing wrong with it, but I was hoping to see more of Fort Lauderdale.

It was safe and really enjoyable and the tour guide knew a lot about the city. Everyone enjoyed themselves.

I went on this cruise on Mother’s Day. The captain lacked enthusiasm. I’ve been on several boat cruises and this one was kind of a let down. It was a cloudy evening, so that was not the crew’s fault. However, we basically just went through the intracoastal waterway and then a little ways out on the ocean. I expected a more exciting experience. Maybe it would have been a better experience if it had been a clear evening.

It was so fun the captain had great jokes(john and don i believe the name) and the tour was awesome. Appreciated the time they gave for photos

Good experience with great views and just the right amount of commentary along with the views. The captain and his mate were very upbeat and friendly. I only gave it 4 stars instead of 5 due to the Bahia Mar ripoff parking fee of $20 for 2 hours, didn't realize i was in Manhattan not Lauderdale.....see if there is a better place to park if you go.

John was great - safety first but chill. On our return he told lots of interesting fun facts about the houses and mega yachts. Fun trip

John and Dom made it a great experience. I liked the mix of canal and ocean ride. John provided a lot of cool knowledge about the yachts and mansion houses.

I understand safety. Of course. What I don’t get is cancelling only 1 hour before we are supposed to meet due to weather and not offering a refund. I was told I could reschedule. When I explained that was not possible because we were leaving Ft Lauderdale, I was told I could get a gift certificate. Huh? Fortunately I booked through Trip Advisor and they refunded me. This company refused the refund. Shady business practice. Beware.

The cruise for us was wonderful and we had great sunset views as well!

Very good. Crew was professional and friendly. Boat was very clean. Only down side they did not have any non alcoholic drinks. This would be a 4 and 1/2 stars if we could.

Get there early!! Enjoyed the sunset with planes flying over. Actually missed the first reservation but got the next one through the Sea Rocket website.

This is not a casual ride in the canals showing some of the mansions along the water. You will go out to open waters at full speed and being thrown around by rough waters! It was still fun, but not what we expected! I read a lot of reviews that did not inform me of this, so I wanted to make sure that guests are aware you are boating through the canals for the first 15 minutes, then out in the open water for about 40 minutes, then back through the canals for another 15 minutes. Unfortunately the speakers on the boat didn’t work and they announced it. We had seats in the back so we did not learn/hear a thing about the owners and their historical homes. Unfortunately, half of drink menu was out of stock and they did announce that to guests. There are different seating options that vary in cost due to the view. You are instructed to arrive 25 minutes before departure. But the trick is- just show up 5 minutes before boat leaves and you can sit in the front (higher costing seats!) without paying the higher price! The last minute guests are awarded with the best seats.

Fun speedboat ride out on the ocean, if you want to hear about the mansions choose a different boat. There was barely any commentary and you couldn’t hear a word. Also they were out of almost every snack and beverage. As pointed out by other reviewers, the sunset is over an industrial area.

We enjoyed it! Lots to see. Was nice that the Captain told us about different houses etc along the way.

It was very short look at the sunset. But a nice boat ride. Got to see a lot of yachts and mega million dollar homes. I highly recommend.

Super fun, great guys leading the cruise! We stayed to the inlets because the ocean would have been too rough. Everything was beautiful, it was the perfect amount of time and they had drinks and snacks for purchase (not too expensive).

Excellent experience! Nice boat, comfy seats. Gorgeous sunset views. Fun fact-filled tour of water front homes and yachts of the mega rich. Easy parking right there; with the parking slip provided at the end of the tour the cost drops to $10 - nice! We paid extra for the bow seating and that was great. Knowledgeable, funny tour guide, and a great experience overall. Great from start to finish.

Pay a little extra to sit in the front! Fun boat! Nice guys! Nice sunset! Fun to be on the ocean for a nice sunset!

We went on the 75 minute sunset cruise and it was quite pleasant. Our guide was great and the drink service was prompt.

Easy going crew, pleasant way to spend a few hours in the area. Sunset is pretty and the narration during the second half of tour was interesting.
