Sassy Silver Springs Kayak And Paddle Rental

I came to visit my son that moved to Orlando and we decided to do this kayaking trip and it was Amazing!!! From meeting Brad that helped us with the kayak and information about the river we got in the water and started to explore. First, the kayak is clear and so clean and well taken care of to the feeling exploring the nature from the water to everything around us. We got to see monkeys, manatees, birds and fish. I’m so happy I got to do this with my son, great experience. We got back to the dock and Brad was there waiting for us to help and any questions we might have. We are definitely coming back and will book with Brad and his company and probably do the guided tour with him to get the most out of the trip. Well worth it!!!

I’ve kayaked at Silver Springs before and had never had such an amazing experience. Our guide, Brad, truly was the best tour guide we’ve ever had. He shared so much knowledge about the wildlife, the Spring’s history and even conservation efforts. We saw manatees, alligators, birds, monkeys and turtles. By far the best tour in Ocala is with Sassy and Brad!

We had such a great experience renting from Brad! He was super communicative, helpful, and made everything really easy from start to finish. He answered all of our questions and made sure we were set before we headed out. We had an amazing time at Rainbow Springs and would definitely rent from him again. Highly recommend!

Highly reccommend this trip! Ryan provided us with the kayaks and helped l tell us where to go and what to look out for. We were lucky enough to spot a manatee, 3-4 gators, and many many turtles along with native birds like black annihinga and white ibis.

Review: Kayaking with Sassy We went on the most amazing excursion through Silver Springs with “Kayaking With Sassy.” We were blessed to have Brad as our guide. Before we arrived we received plenty of “need to know” information and even a photo of our guide. With other tour companies launching from the same location, we were well prepared and knew where to go and who to look for. We arrived early and we're able to get going quickly. Brad is super friendly and extremely knowledgeable about all things related to manatees, turtles, alligators, monkeys, the history of the springs, and the ecosystem that ties them all together. As an educator and nature lover I appreciated all of the information shared. Brad helped us make personal connections with him, with Silver Springs, its animals, and the world. We chose Kayaking With Sassy because of the eco-friendly, nature loving, acceptance message they teach and encourage; “Be Good to Each Other.” 💚🐢 The price was very affordable and the military discount offered was a bonus.

We only did the rentals but the guide that set us up was great, very friendly, nice gave us a map to avoid the big tour groups told us where to turn etc. And it was an easy drop off! Would recommend 100%

Amazing especially if you love wildlife. Roman was our guide. Extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and personable. You don't want to do the river without someone who knows where to look and knows the spots, BUT you are able to go off on your own which was the best thing for me and my daughter. We were able to spot manatees and turtles before the flock of people because we'd go off on our own just a lot ways from the group. Would also like to give a shout out to Brad who helped us make the right choice in booking the exact river and tour that would be best for us. 100% would recommend Sassy for a tour. We will definitely be back in the future to see the other rivers.

The line to get the permit was long!! If there’s a way to put that price into the ticket would be so much better!! The kayaking in the double kayak was amazing! We saw manatees, monkeys, many gators and turtles and so many beautiful water birds! Priceless

Loved Brad’s instruction and help. Saw manatees, eagles, many turtles and alligators 😱. Brad gave us a heads up about the current, and told us to take an easier route back. Thank goodness! The current was strong for 4 ladies in their ‘70’s.

Had so much fun!!! Will definitely come back and rent the clear kayaks again. So easy and seamless, Ryan was great walking us through where to go and where we will see Manatee!! Admission fee was $8 for single kayak 2 people, paddled up and down for around 2 hours but definitely was leisurely. Overall great experience, will use Sassy again, and love Silver Springs!

We absolutely love kayaking Sliver Springs with Sassy! This is our 3rd time using Sassy and they never disappoint, Brad was an amazing guide and we will definitely be coming back! From Ohio and already thinking about when I can make another trip back down with friends or family. Brad was a wealth of information about the springs, and wildlife. His passion is felt the entire time, I can’t wait to return.

Brad was very friendly and super helpful. Absolutely recommend renting from this business, they offer the best rates. This is a must do activity if you are visiting Silver Springs. We got beautiful scenic shots along with wildlife: monkeys, fish, birds and plenty gators too.

I’ve now been on two tours with Kayaking with Sassy for Silver Springs and Rainbow Springs, with Pipi as my guide both times. She is absolutely amazing and so knowledgeable about the history of the springs and local stories. She has an eye for spotting birds, turtles, and manatees. Pipi had everything set up and ready to go for me. I appreciated that Pipi took pictures for me and sent them after our tour, since my phone was deep in my dry bag. She kept an eye on the weather reports to keep us safe as we were out on a summer day with typical Florida afternoon storms. You can really see the love and care Kayaking with Sassy has for each employee, the environment, the springs, and the guests. I am so glad I found them and can’t wait for more excursions!

A huge shout out to Pipi for allowing our daughter to ride on her paddle board with her. The kid wasn’t feeling the clear boat for some reason but Pipe immediately flexed with this and had our daughter ride along with her. After that, it was all smiles and chitchat. Can’t thank her enough for this! She saved the day!!!! 🙏

We had no idea what we were in for and this was above and beyond what we could have hoped! We had Brad as our tour guide and he knew so much about the area and was so informative. We didn’t realize it wasn’t manatee season but saw plenty of other wildlife. We would highly recommend this company!

Brad was great. He had a lot of knowledge about the river and it's history. We saw a lot of alligators and endangered birds. We were also able to see adult birds tending their young. Very cool. The trip took about 2 hours. It may not seem lo g enough but it was almost the perfect amount of time to be out there. If I ever end up down this way again ill be back for another kayaking trip. Well done.

Our guide, "Tarzan" was so nice! We got to see a lot of birds, turtles and alligators. We learned about the springs and all the cool stuff under the water. Tarzan was wonderful! Definitely go! Bring sunscreen!

When we book the rental through their website, it doesn't write clearly about the numbers you choose is for person or boat! When we arrive the park, DD(one of the staff) mentions this number issue out, she does call her manager for this confusing. Ends up the manager knows it but no refundable!

I had a great time with Sassy's silver spring kayaking!! Our guide Pipi (Maria) is very nice and professional. She guided us to see different animals, plants, and the ship under river, and told us the knowledge and information about those, helping us not miss any interesting scenes and fun. She also took pictures of us and sent to us, so sweet! I really appreciate her guide and this wonderful trip!

It was a great experience. We went during early May and saw lots of animals along the river. Pipi was an awesome tour guide and super knowledgeable about all of the animals that we saw that day. She’s also an amazing photographer. Definitely recommend you to go during morning (the first spot of the day) to get the most of this experience.

Booked a snorkelling and clear kayaking tour with Kayaking with Sassy at Rainbow Springs and got super lucky—since it was Easter Sunday, I ended up being the only one on the tour! Brad, my tour guide, was amazing and still did the tour anyway. He was super knowledgeable and answered my millions of questions about wildlife. He also took loads of pics for me (especially at the Instagram tree!). Loved seeing the fish, turtles and cute little ducklings. The little goody bag was also a sweet souvenir to keep. My only regret was not being able to bring my family! Definitely doing this again with them next time. Personally, I preferred rainbow springs over silver springs (the company offers both), because you can snorkel and it’s quieter, but the downside is that there are no manatees at rainbow. Would 100% recommend this company.

This was not only a relaxing and beautiful way to spend a couple of hours, but educational and interesting!! Our guide, Destiny, was phenomenal, and very engaging. We booked through visitor, but had to change times and in doing that, things got a bit "messed up" but a text message the night beforehand and meeting Brad upon arrival he made everything right!!! We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and encourage you to use Sassy as well.

Brad was so chill and gave me all the tools I needed to feel confident out there by myself. My man helped me make crossing off a bucket list item so easy and seamless. Experience was so relaxing and calm. Wildlife is absolutely everywhere on the river. I cannot recommend going with sassys kayaking enough (definitely coming back here the next time I’m in Florida).

My friend Cheryl and I had a blast with Brad and Destiny. A wealth of information and fun. Don’t be afraid to be a little silly with these two, it made for a fun day. Brad shared such great information about the natural springs that feed the Chaz River and the wildlife seen there. I would definitely recommend this kayak tour. We saw most everything. So fun!

The kayak tour was a lot of fun had a really great time the tour guides were very knowledgeable and we even got to see the monkeys we had a really great time even though the glass bottom boats tried to drive over me two times I didn't even hear them coming up from behind me I would definitely suggest for the clear boats with fantastic views you could look anywhere and see under the water we will definitely do this again the next time we're in this area

It was a fantastic trip even thought it was starting to rain. We saw the manatee up close and Ashley taught us how to take a good clip. My daughter enjoyed so much. Ashley and her young assistant are friendly. They took good care of everyone. Highly recommended!

While waiting for our monthly scuba adventure to begin, my friends and I had the privilege of watching two members of the Kayaking with Sassy team, Brad and Destanie, go above and beyond for a complete stranger and her beloved dog. The woman, Cindy, had brought her dog, Bo, to the dock. Bo, a cherished emotional support dog who had comforted children in the school system, was battling cancer and had already defied the odds after chemotherapy. His owner had desperately tried to find a rental nearby so Bo could enjoy the water one last time, but after being unsuccessful, she brought him in her well-loved kayak to give him a final adventure. Despite not being their customer, Brad and Destanie immediately stepped in to help without hesitation. For at least 20 minutes, they put their work aside to care for Bo while Cindy took her things to the car. Bo was exhausted, so Cindy brought her car closer to the dock for a shorter walk. During that time, Brad and Destanie showed Bo love and compassion, comforted Cindy, and even helped patch her board so she could continue making memories with her best friend. Their kindness was more than just an act of goodwill—it was a genuine reflection of their character and the values that Kayaking with Sassy embodies. As we overheard their conversation, Brad reassured Cindy that at Kayaking with Sassy, they believe in being good to each other—whether that means people, animals, or the environment. Cindy was visibly emotional, not just because of Bo’s condition but because she was touched by their kindness. And despite being busy with multiple tours that day (including Destanie’s first day!), neither of them hesitated to step in and show empathy when it mattered most. Unforgettable trip with family. Our group of 4 ranging from age 18 to 81, every one had a great time on the river. The water is completely transparent. We saw a lot of wild lives. We feel awed, humbled and inspired. The guide lady is knowledgeable. We learn a lot. Want to visit in a different season.
