Saint Petersburg Preserve Bike Tour

Doo was exceptional! She is well versed in the eco systems, local birds, and animals. She is friendly, interesting and knowledgeable…we would highly recommend this bike tour!

We explored the preserve with a guide and I'm so glad we did. Louisa (Doo) was very knowledgeable. We saw turtles, a baby alligator, birds and other species in the preserve that we would have missed because we would not have known where to look without her. The bikes were in good condition and made the experience more fun with the family. She was also very knowledgeable about the various vegetarian growing in the preserve. Would definitely recommend!

From start to finish, this trip was amazing! My mother gifted me and my husband this bike ride experience for Christmas & scheduled a random date in March for us to go. There was clear communication from Louisa throughout the whole process. She was exactly where she said she'd be when we arrived. She was warm and welcoming and extremely knowledgeable throughout the whole bike ride. It was just the 3 of us and to be honest, that was perfect! We got a personal intimate educational experience while enjoying the outdoors. Louisa stopped us every so often, spoke about the wildlife and habits, and even took some pictures for us and of us! She was so knowledgeable. When the tour was over, she texted me all of our photos and was so pleasant throughout the whole experience. We had a blast on our bike ride tour and I would highly recommend it to anyone thinking about booking with Doo's Tours!

Nice bike ride through the preserve. Louisa was an excellent guide - very knowledgeable and helpful with tips on the biking path. Good workout during parts of the ride (grass especially). Not a paved road experience. Beautiful surroundings.

This was an excellent tour. Louisa is a great guide who has tons of knowledge about the local flora and fauna. We saw a nice amount of wildlife. We saw a few gators and a raccoon. Many many species of birds. We would recommend this tour to anyone interested in wildlife and having a great guide through the nature preserve.

This was the best tour! I highly recommend! I would also say this tour is for any level of biker. We had a group range from age 25-70 and we all enjoyed it. We’d definitely return and do other tours with Doo!

We had a fantastic time with Doo’s bike tour of Boyd Hill Preserve. We had a fun time, learned so much, saw beautiful flowers, grasses, and trees. Raccoons, alligators, butterflies, birds, and even got to get pictures with an American Kestral. Doo was responsive and knowledgeable and all set up early for us with bikes, helmets, and cold waters. We highly recommend!

Louisa was a great guide! My wife and I had a lot of fun exploring Boyd Hill with the help of Louisa and her awesome knowledge on the nature preserve and information on the wild life and vegetation there!

We had a great time. Louisa was very friendly and accommodating to us as a pair of senior bike riders. Had a relaxing ride and walk, had a great chat about plants, birds, baby alligators. Would definitely do it again.

We had a great afternoon with Doo biking around the reserve. We learned a lot about the plants and animals in the preserve. The biking is an easy way to get around the preserve. Do not go on this tour planning to ride many miles.

It was a beautiful day and my wife and I were the only people on the tour. Louisa (Doo) was great and very knowledgeable! I'm happy to recommend this tour to friends.

The 3 mile bike ride through 5 different eco systems was wonderful and enlightening. As 80 yr olds who hadn’t ridden bikes for 30 years, the gentle largely flat path through the preserve was easy and fun. Our guide (forgotten her name) was delightful and shared a wealth of knowledge about the flora and fauna in the reserve. We saw baby and adolescent sized alligators, a raccoon wondering across our path, protected raptors, eagles, and owls who had been injured, a wide variety of birds, egrets, ducks and other waterfowl, and numerous variety of trees, grasses, shrubs, turtle holes, alligator slides, etc We’d highly recommend the tour for a family outing with kids that can ride 3miles, and adults of any age. Doo’s tour was super!

My mom booked this tour for the two of us while I was in town visiting. We had a goregous morning, and were the only ones on the tour! Luisa was punctual, had all of the necessary gear for us (bikes, helmets, water, and even bug spray!), and took us on an intimate journey through the magical Boyd Hill Nature Preserve. Yes, you can walk or bike through the Nature Preserve on your own, but you won't go wrong if you do it with Doo! We learned so many new things thanks to Luisa and her incredible knowledge of the 5 different ecosystems located all within this one preserve. We saw all sorts of owls, hawks, turtles, and even some baby alligators. Luisa snapped photos for us too and we left with some great momentos of the trip. The Boyd facility is very well taken care of. Clean, inviting, and friendly staff. Cute little gift shop in there as well! Thanks Doo's Amazing Tours!

Would never have covered as much ground in the nature preserve if we didn’t have the bikes. Would never have seen as much wildlife if we did not have the exceptional tour guide to pointed it out to us. Excellent experience, highly recommend!

My Husband and I had a wonderful time exploring Boyd Hill with our guide. She was so informative about the ecosystems and animals. We even saw a mother gator with her babies. The bike ride was easy for us. We truly enjoyed the adventure.

This was my husband and I second time doing this tour. Although we had a great time previously with our other Tour Guides, I have to say Louisa by far was definitely the.best! She was so knowledgeable and fun. We learn even more about that diverse eco systems on our second tour. Really enjoyable tour if your looking to do something different away from the water. Highly recommended.

Very interesting tour of a special wild place in St. Pete. The different habitats were very interesting. Our guide, Louisa was very knowledgeable about where we could see otters, alligators, many different birds, etc. She also went out of her way to make sure we were able to schedule a tour while we were in town after our first scheduled tour got rained out.

We had an amazing time! We learned a lot. Jackie and Buck are knowledgeable and made the tour a lot of fun. We saw so many sights - a mama alligator with her babies, a turtle laying eggs, egrets, owls, etc. Definitely put this tour on your to-do list when you visit this area!!

Buck and Jackie were knowledgeable and fun to spend the tour with through the preserve. It is quite the gem and they schooled us in all five of the ecosystems in the park. The alligators and birds were all active so we felt fortunate to have picked this day. Thanks to Jackie for Airdropping the 100 pictures and videos she took on the tour! Wonderful day and excellent company, we could not have asked for more.

This preserve is a hidden gem in St Pete! It was such a cool experience to bike thru here and see all the different ecosystems and animals. Not your typical excursion in St Pete, but so worth it!

We took this tour in the morning and it was fantastic. The Preserve itself is wonderful and our guides Buck and Jackie were great - 10/10. They were very informative, friendly and demonstrated an obvious love of nature and the Preserve. Would book any of the other tours they do as well the next time we are in town.

Really lovely bike tour. The guides were super knowledgeable and seemed like they legitimately love what they do - which makes the tour a lot of fun. We had encounters with alligators, a raccoon, and many fascinating birds.

Buck and Jackie were amazing! This is our second tour with them and they delivered a wonderful experience again! They are so knowledgeable and it is obvious they love the area and wildlife. Can’t recommend enough!

The guide couple, Jackie and Buck, went out of their way to make the experience a smooth one. They provided door to door service, above and beyond our expectations. This was a tour where the guides really knew their locale and nature, and didn't "make it up as they went along." They slowed down when we wanted more time; made a point of showing us osprey nests, banana spiders in their webs, and mother/baby alligators! We also saw an anhinga. It was a relaxing, personalized, informative tour through paths in the preserve. As an aside, this is an environmental aficionado paradise of flora and fauna, very different than the eastern United states. As an example, the American Sycamore tree is an invasive tree in Ohio, crowding out other species, and in Florida is a desirable tree that survives hurricanes and helps prevent soil erosion.

Who knew there was such great nature close to downtown St Pete! Our tour guides, Buck and Jackie, did a great job showing us the five ecosystems in this nature preserve. Very knowledgeable and friendly. Buck led the narration with Jackie chiming in and doing video and photos which she shared with me afterwards. Highly recommend. One suggestion would be to upgrade the bikes; mine was a little small. Minor issue though. Beautiful views with many birds including eagles and ospreys. Saw some small and larger alligators around the beautiful lake. Nice trail system.

My wife and I did the two hour bike tour with Buck and Jackie as our tour guides. They were super friendly and awesome tour guides. They made the trip so much fun and knew so much about birds, alligators as well as the various habitats that are found in the Preserve. Jackie's keen eye caught a young bald eagle and we saw ten or more baby alligators along the tour. The path is mostly flat and easy to navigate on bikes. I highly recommend this tour!

This was a great tour with Buck and Jackie! They were so knowledgeable about the wildlife and Ecosystems within the Boyd Hill Preserve. The Preserve and Lake were beautiful and our guides were so easy to talk to. We saw quite a few alligators and tons of very cool birds. Jackie took scores of pictures that she sent to our phones. The bike ride was easy but a bit bumpy. It was a really great way to spend the afternoon. We can’t wait to try out some of their other tours next time we visit!

So much experience and great information. Plus excitement for the outdoors and locale. And me being an older person who had not ridden a bike for about fifteen years, were patient and confidence given!! We enjoyed this very much.
