Round Island Kayak & Paddle Board Tour

A nice trip for two teens to see Florida's wildlife on the river. Guide was very good.Teens on the River.

Dante and his team provided outstanding service for our Kayak adventure to the sunken ship off the coast of Vero Beach. This is our second trip to Vero Beach in the past few months and both times we chose to visit Paddles by the sea because we were confident they would not disappoint.

Our family of four took the 1.5/2 hour kayak tour when we were in Vero Beach on vacation. Booking was simple (and we had the opportunity to cancel if our plans changed) and our guide was great. We were looking for something semi-active but low stress. The only down side was that we didn't see any manatees as we had hoped, but there's no guarantee of what wildlife you might see!

Friendly staff and very helpful in getting our kayaks ready and making sure we were on our way fast, it does help to complete all the paper work online before your visit. Our group had 2 adults and 2 children ages 6 and 9, we paddle for a couple of hours on the Indian River Lagoon and had a great time, Paddles by the Sea is a place that I would visit again when planning outdoor activities with the family.

My parents (age 80), kids (age 14,12) and I really enjoyed our guided kayak tour. We were helped by very friendly staff for set up and on the water. Our guide was Caleb and he was excellent. We are not experts. We were able to take our time and take pictures. I would recommend this to anyone.

we rented a tandem kayak and paddle board on 2 different occassions. very easy to book online and in person. staff was very nice and helpful. my family had a great time.

This was a great experience! We had a family of 4 and 2 additional people in the group. We rented paddle boards and tandem kayaks. It was so much fun, and the Company made it very easy to rent and enjoy. Dana was an outstanding as a tour guide. She made the whole experience wonderful. Thank you!

We had great fun kayaking. The whole process from start to finish was seamless. Easy to book on line and complete all the required paperwork. We showed up a bit early but because we were the only ones in this tour we started immediately. No waiting. Nice tour and we were able to see dolphins during our time in the river. Caleb was an excellent guide and gave us great insights into the local eco system

Highly recommend Paddles by the Sea for adventuring out on the Indian River. We did a two hour kayak rental and had a great time. There are some beautiful spots just a short trip from the dock and the staff is super friendly and gave us some great tips before we took off. While we were out we saw several birds, fish jumping and several dolphins.

We were in Florida for the week and booked kayaks for a family of 4. The day we had scheduled our kayaking ended up being rainy, so we called and switched to a different day. No problem. The kayaks were easy to use and we felt safe paddling around the Indian River. We had a young manatee swim up next to us! Saw a ray and dolphins jump up out of the water. A great experience. A staff member was there to help us out of our kayaks when we returned to the dock.

We recently took our two sons and a friend out for a guided kayak tour and it was wonderful. Beyond the perfect weather, our kayak trip was easy for the kids to enjoy, and our guide helped us locate a few manatees and a small shark along the way. We spotted a lot of jumping fish and water birds, as well. This is definitely something I'd recommend for families or just friends looking to enjoy being out on the beautiful intra coastal waterway.

We really enjoyed our kayak tour with Paddles by the Sea. We had a great time. Our guide, Dana, was friendly and informative and took a lot of photos. We saw many small sharks, fish and birds. Unfortunately, we didn't see dolphins or manatee. We will definitely do this tour again, though, and hope to catch a glimpse then! Our only issue was finding the meeting place. It is in a bait and tackle shop.

Our Tour Guide, Ms. Dana was excellent. She went at a good pace for us. She was knowledgeable about the wild life and trees. A manatee swam beside my kayak. Ms. Dana took a video of manatee and me. She also took some lovely photos of me and my husband and sent them to us. James, the young man was very kind and helped us into the kayak cradle and kayak before and after launch.

We enjoyed our time paddling around this Fort Pierce waterway although we should have rented the kayak for 2 hours instead of 1. Just a bit more time to relax and enjoy the nature. We were helped into our kayaks and giving ideas of where to paddle by a very personable worker. The equipment was clean and fairly new and the boat launch was easy with their launching platform. All in all a very nice way to spend time on the waters of Florida.

The paddles/boards were in good shape, and they provided instructions on how to use them that were good. We were slightly disappointed that they didn't offer any recommendations for where we might like to take them - we were left wandering the area and guessing where we might see cool things. We found nothing. I understand they can't control what kinds of animals are out, but I'm not sure if we headed to an area where anything might have been or not.

First time paddle board lesson with instructor was outstanding. I feel confident now with the techniques that I learned.

In June my wife and I went to Vero Beach,Fla. Our main objective was to sit on the beach and relax. We stayed at the Holiday Inn Oceanside for the week. Each morning I would rent a Umbrella and chairs from Paddles by the sea which operates on the beach behind the hotel. The young man working was Donte. He made sure we were taken care of every day. Just off the beach there is a shipwreck and in talking to Donte, he told me he led snorkeling tours on the wreck. Being a scuba diver I was all in at that point! I did not have any equipment but Donte took care of that for me! I went with a group out to the wreck for a little over an hour. We saw at least 6 sea turtles numerous fish and of course the wreck that stretched along the bottom for 300 ft. It is all in shallow water, 15-20ft deep! I can’t wait to get back down there! I HIGHLY recommend Paddles by the sea. They operate at a couple of different hotels on the beach and at the Indian river next to Riverside cafe where I had my first kayak experience with them!

Our tour guide, Chris, was really friendly and helped make our trip to Vero Beach memorable! It’s a beautiful place to kayak, and Chris gave us lots of insider tips on how to make the most of our stay even outside the kayak tour. He suggested a place to see dolphins at sunset, which turned out to be fantastic! Bobby’s was delicious too!

My son, husband, and I rented a kayak from Paddles by the Sea at our hotel. We took it out to see the Boiler wreck off the coast of Vero Beach. Our attendant was knowledgable and super helpful. He made sure we had a fabulous time renting!

We rented 3 paddle boards and a kayak on an early Sunday morning. Check-in was easy (build in some time to fill out i-pad paperwork, it was easy just took 5mins) Christian helped us at the dock and he couldn't have been more friendly and patient with us, giving us safety tips and quick tutorial for paddle boards. The staff in the bait shop were great too! There was a place to store your car keys & shoes on the dock. We had enough time to go around two coves and back with lots of wildlife sightings. I would highly recommend using them for a fun excursion especially if you have teenagers.

We did the 9 am kayak tour with Dana, it was awesome. I had a manatee come up under my kayak in 3 ft if water. I would definitely recommend .

And so will you, when you have a great experience on the ocean with Paddles by the Sea! I had just made a phone call to another paddle company to book an eco-tour when I noticed a paddle boarder guiding out a family in a kayak. When he landed, I went over and met Dante. He was with Paddles, and yes, I could rent a board for $20 an hour. He then took time to explain that he hadn’t seen the ocean this flat in ages and that it may remain like that until Saturday. I have been paddle boarding for three years , had been on the ocean by me, but on my knees. He would help me get the board in and out of the ocean, which was exactly what I needed help with. I booked the session for the next day at 930 am. It was suc I’m a thrill for me to be paddling in the ocean and Dante’s great smile and service made it an even better experience! He was prompt and kind and took the time to listen to me about my paddle boarding experiences. He certainly is an asset that should be appreciated. I would highly recommend this company to anyone who wants to participate in water sports in the Vero Beach Area.

What’s a better way to see the sea life in Vero than to be right in it? The river tours are amazing and so much to see with dolphins and manatees. Go off the beach at Vero beach hotel and spa on a nice flat day over to the sunken ship and you will see fish and sea turtles. It’s great fun and if your not sure about paddle boards the kayak rentals are just as great for the hole family.

Great experience wonderful employees and a great location. I would definitely use this company again for my Family's paddle boarding experience.
