We will start the tour at King's Landing and paddle into a unique part of Rock Springs Run known as "Emerald Cut". This portion of the waterway is a beautiful greenish/blue tint with tree canopies overhead. There's a hidden jump platform that we allow guests to take a leap from if they choose.
We had a 2hr tour with David who was extremely welcoming and pleasant. David was very friendly and informative with all his knowledge of the area and was very approachable. We had a fantastic tour which was made all the more enjoyable by our lovely guide David. I highly recommend this tour and we even managed to see some of the local wildlife 🦝🐢🐊🦋
What a brilliant experience, Josh our guide was excellent, relaxed and not pushing through, explained about the river, spring and the wildlife was very knowledgeable, I would recommend this trip and Josh to anyone who wants to explore the area, we will definately do it again

Megan is a nice guide and the tour is wonderful! The spring is really fun to kayak. It's not boring at all but not too challenging either. The water is shallow so very friendly for someone doesn't swim.

We had such an amazing experience with David! He was super friendly and made conversation with everyone from the very beginning. No one in the group knew each other, but almost immediately everyone started talking, laughing, and becoming friends because David made the environment so welcoming and comfortable. It honestly felt like we were all one big group of friends. We also got to see parts of Apopka that we had never seen before, which made the experience even more special. David truly made the whole trip unforgettable, and we would 100% recommend him!

My experience with Megan was a lot of fun. She was very patient even when we were all over the place. She made sure to take lots of photos of us and told us a lot of fun facts the whole trip. The river felt nice and there were no crowds so 8:45 was the best time to go. I would come back again!

Visited as a family of 5. Our guide Megan was very friendly & knowledgeable. Absolutely beautiful spring. We took the 8:45am tour & it was very quiet so lovely for our stops with no one around. We saw otters, bears & alligators. Don’t be alarmed by the alligators - Megan gave us the option of avoiding these, we wanted to seek them out! They are not present in the spring water. My favourite day of our two weeks in Orlando, would definitely recommend.
We had such a wonderful experience on this tour. We had Ben and Megan and they were amazing! They were patient and attentive and had great knowledge of the area. We saw an alligator, turtle, fish and birds. The water was warm and refreshing and the scenery like it was plucked out of a magazine. No kayaking experience necessary as they go through the basics with you and help you along the way. I’d recommend going mid week as they mentioned the crowds get heavier on the weekend. The tour size is small, so you get a lot of attention. Our party was from 12 years old to 72 years old and everyone had a great time. No need for water shoes the creek bottom is soft sand. They provide lots of information on where to park, and I’d recommend getting there about 30 minutes before the tour as you have to sign additional waivers on the site - p.s. make sure and sign the online waivers before you come. The tour is about 45 minutes outside of Kissimmee, so a nice side trip if you’re visiting Orlando. A lovely way to experience true Florida.
This kayak tour was fabulous! Megan was our guide and not only did she take excellent care of us, she also gave us lots of information about the wildlife and she took pictures of all of us and emailed them to us at the end of the day. She got some really amazing shots of this beautiful tropical paradise. The location is amazing! The clear spring water with palm trees all around seems very surreal. We were able to get out and go in the water at a couple of spots (none of the water is more than a couple of feet deep and most of it is less than a foot). It’s a great excursion even if you’re a beginner. Highly recommend!

He was very knowledgeable about the water, rocks and wildlife visible to us on the tour and was really helpful pointing them out. Would fully recommend the morning tour as much less busy. He has helped my kayaking become so much better thank you David!

Dani was absolutely fantastic, and the route was beautiful.
The tour was almost cancelled due to bad weather. Although waters were not as blue-ish, our guide Elijah showed us some beautiful spots and wildlife. At the end we even saw a black bear.

Amazing kayaking experience! The clear water & terrain was beautiful and as someone who does not live in Florida, it was really cool to see gators in the wild. Our guide was “Dani” and she was so professional, very knowledgeable and simply a joy to have leading us. I highly recommend this activity to anyone in the area looking for something unique and fun to do. I would recommend going early to avoid crowded waters (I went at 8:45am and it was perfect) and be prepared for an arm workout. 10/10 experience!

Loved this kayak trip with my phenomenal guide Megan. The springs were perfectly clear and no more than 6 feet deep, albeit a bit crowded because it was a holiday. It was a nice paddle upstream with several spots to jump out in and swim in shallow water. Megan gave us history and took photos. The parking situation is a mess though, with most people basically having to park in a ditch alongside a two lane road. While I would highly recommend this tour, I do believe that it is worth noting experienced kayakers and those on a budget could easily rent kayaks directly from Kings Landing for a significantly lower price and do the same paddle themselves as it is a straight out and back. I saw a lot of people doing this and hanging out at swimming spots for longer to enjoy lunch. Overall, I enjoyed this about a million times more than the theme parks and will do this tour over Disney the next time I’m in Orlando.

Best to schedule an early experience so you can mitigate the parking mayhem. Know that even if you complete an online waiver for Get Up and Go, you will have to complete another one on site with the owners of the property. Go inside the cottage that has a sign for registration. That line can be very long depending on when you arrive. If you wore shoes or sandals , that’s ok - you will remove them and they will be kept in a safe place. The “clear” kayaks are actually kind of scratched up, so not completely clear. However, the paddle through the Emerald Cut on the Rock Springs Run is absolutely gorgeous. It is not difficult. Our guide (whose name escapes me) was very good. She had to spend a lot of time with some of the inexperienced paddlers in the group. We didn’t mind - it gave us time to just drift and take in the beautiful scenery. We were here on a weekday and although it wasn’t crowded when we started, by the time we were on the return trip it was much more so. Some of those without guides don’t know how to be safe. Also there are sections where you can get out of the kayak and splash around a bit. These areas were crowded. None of these issues were the fault of the Get Up and Go people, hence the 5 star review. Hope this info will be helpful to others!
