Private Siesta Funship Adventure/dolphin Cruise Sandbar Stops

We were in Siesta Key for a girl’s trip for our friend’s 40th birthday and we had a blast! We chartered a double decker pontoon boat. The captain and first mate were awesome! They set everything up for us to have a great time and they even delivered us drinks while we were in the water relaxing! I would 10/10 recommend Siesta Funship!! I hope we get to take another trip out there soon!!

Barry and Corey were amazing knowledgeable hosts. We saw dolphins, manatees, and found incredible seashells. Perfect day!

We had such a great time on this trip—definitely a five-star experience! The boat was fantastic and had so many fun features. The kids absolutely loved the paddle board, lily pad, and especially the slide—it kept them entertained the entire time. The sandbar stop was a huge hit too, perfect for relaxing and letting the kids play. To top it all off, we even got to see a dolphin, which made the experience feel extra special. Everything was smooth, fun, and well done. Highly recommend for families looking for an easy, memorable outing!

Oh this was an amazing day; and the friends that came with me said that they were "officially blown away" with how great it was. We started by seeing all kinds of birds at a rookery with great photos of roseate spoonbills; then saw numerous dolphins up close and playing for about 30 minutes; then went to to beach and went down their fun slide, and finished up by seeing a mother and baby manatee! Loved everything!!!

This excursion was fantastic for our family of 4 (kids 11 & 15). We had 4 hours to do whatever we wanted on the water. The boat had everything noted in the description. There is a slide off the back, paddle board, cooler available, chairs to sit out on the sandbar when out exploring, all types of balls for kids to play (football, volleyball, softball, etc…). Cory and crew are extremely knowledgeable when it comes to Sarasota Bay. We learned about the wildlife that inhabits the islands and the history of real estate. Touring the perimeter of the bay and seeing the size of the houses and differences in architecture could have been an entire day alone. We docked on a sandbar and searched for little critters with fishing nets. We are so glad we booked this day trip as this was the highlight of our trip. I would highly recommend and will book again if we come back this way.

My two boys, wife, and I took a four hour tour with Corey and Barry and had a blast. We had a great time. They showed us some of the notable properties along the way and gave us some historical context. We saw lots of local fauna and wildlife from waterfowl to dolphins and even an aggregation of manatees! We docked at a beach and sat in the sand, went down the slide on the boat, hung out on the aqua lily pad, and floated around the boat. We then docked at a sand bar and Corey got in and led my kids on a little snorkel adventure. The crew was extremely affable and went out of their way to make the experience memorable. If you are in the area and looking for a similar boat tour, I definitely recommend.

This was absolutely worth every penny and then some. We had 4 people and it was a cloudy day with waters a little choppy. We couldn’t do the full tour but we still hung out on a sandbar, found little crabs and sand dollars and conchs. That was so neat. Took some great pics and our captain was right there in the water with us searching for shells and enjoying the sea life like kids. Phones away it was just great. Then we chugged on and anchored along another shore to enjoy the slide! Also lounged on the lily pad. Had our drinks got some spots of sun when it poked out from the clouds, listened to our music. The captains were very friendly and of course Cosmo! Sooo cute! Would do this again in a heartbeat. We did the 3 hour sandbar cruise. We also saw a few dolphins! It was a really fun time. Thanks for a memorable day to celebrate our daughter’s 21st birthdays!

Captain Joe and Barry were very informative and definitely knew the spots to go. They were very easy going. We informed them of what we wanted to do and we went.

So much fun in the funship! They had something for everyone (slides, paddle boats, sand toys, snorkeling, and a cute puppy! Captain Joe was a great guide!

Captain Joe and Cosmo were the best! My husband and our two children had the best time!! Captain Joe was so accommodating and made the day so amazing. From him telling us facts about the area, to all the beach toys and water equipment!! We all had the best time!! My kids have already asked to do this again the next time we are in the area!! We had a great day with captain Joe and his dog Cosmo! What was great was that we made 2 stops(could have made 3 to a bar) one to the sandbar and collected and saw awesome shells And sand dollars. We played catch and hung out for a while. Then cruised around looking at homes and hearing some history of Sarasota and surrounding islands. Next we went and Anchored at another area with a beach, park with trails and a clean bathroom. There we hung out with chairs, paddle board, rafts and enjoyed the slide and jumping off platform listening to great music. Captain Joe was great to talk with and we just had a really enjoyable 4 hours. Then we took the long way and sailed back. We saw dolphins and 2 manatees swam up to us while anchored! It was awesome! We will do this each time we come! Thanks Captain Joe AND Cosmo!

We had an amazing time with the trip. Captain Joe and his mate, Cosmo were awesome. Captain Joe is friendly, accommodating and very chill. Cosmo is so well behaved and made sure every body is well taken cared of. Captain Joe has all the fun things to do on the beach - the slide, paddle board, floating mat and beach chairs on the beach. We saw dolphins and different kinds of sea birds, and a glimpse of manatee. Thank you for an awesome boat trip.

This experience was a 10 out of 10! Couldn’t recommend captain Joe enough. His boat was clean, he was kind, he was a great captain, showed us dolphins, and had amazing accessories for the ship to make our experience fun. Book immediately!

We had a great time with Captain Joe and Cosmo. The boat had plenty of room for 6 adults and 2 children. Captain was an awesome host and had the boat well prepared with ice, water, toys and plenty of fun. The day was great with multiple stops to search for sea life, water play, sliding from the upper deck and site seeing around Sarasota. We strongly recommend this trip and will do it again when we come back to Siesta Key. Also Cosmo is awesome and great fun. Swimming, jumping from the boat, and being a great ambassador for the boat. He is a great and very friendly dog. Thank you Captain Joe and Cosmo for a super day.

A fantastic day with Captain Joe and his lovely assistant. They took care of our every need and had plenty of toys for the kids. Highly recommend this trip if you are in the Sarasota or Bradenton area.

What an awesome day! We got to see dolphins, had our labradoodle play with Captain Joe’s dog, Cosmo, and it was a relaxing day at the beach. We had fun using the slide and paddle board! Hassle free booking, Captain Joe and Cosmo were great hosts. Highly recommended and will definitely come back to do this tour again!

Captain Joe, Cosmo and Layla were amazing! Captain Jow took us all over to see the sights, we swam and saw manatees! My 84 yr old father is now the oldest person to go down the slide. Great memories made!! Highly recommend! 10/10

Capt. Joe, Lela, Capt. Parker and Drea really made us feel special during our boat tour. The boats were awesome! Water slides and all the water toys you could want. They took care of our every need and were so accommodating with helping my mother “Nana” get on and off the boat, and making sure she was comfortable. We saw dolphins and a manatee! Enjoyed the sand bar and our own private beach. The ice and water provided was a huge plus. We highly recommend Siesta Funship, Capt. Joe will go out of his way to ensure your group has a fabulous time. We will definitely be back!

Booked though Viator and owner said he doesn’t work with them ! So we were at the dock ready for pick up when we thought we were going out for a fun Expensive experience we were told he knew nothing about it , as we booked 4 days ago , makes no sense that it is advertised that you have to book with this company but the owner didn’t know he had a trip planned ! Highly dissatisfied and will NOT recommend, sad that you ruin our day that we had planned for .

I can not recommend Joe and Siesta Funship enough. We saw some dolphins on the way to the sandbar. Joe had so many water and sand toys. The slide was a hit for the kids. Cooler full of water and ice was available. We brought our own adult beverages :) Beautiful day and beautiful water!

Capt Joe & Cosmo made our experience wonderful. We were lucky enough to see dolphins and manatees, view beautiful homes, play at a couple cool islands and a sandbar! It was a wonderful day! My kids favorite activity. Highly recommend!

This was a wonderful way to spend the day. Joe, the owner/captain of the boat Was is a wonderful tour guide. He knew so much about the area and was a pleasure to have as a part of our excursion. It was a perfect day. He showed us all the great spots we were able to enjoy plenty of swimming time. It was just a perfect way to spend one of our vacation days. I recommend this excursion highly. And ask for Joe. He was the best.

My family of four had the best day with Captain Joe and Cosmo! Joe was knowledgeable about the sights and was a friendly and considerate host. My teens enjoyed using the slide, jumping off the boat, snorkeling, and using a sifter to find cool shells. The sights were beautiful. This excursion was the highlight of our trip to Siesta Key. I will definitely book again next time we visit.

We had a fantastic and fun experience with captain Joe and his skipper Cosmo. Captain Joe took us on a tour of beautiful homes in the bay. He brought us to sandbars, where we spent a couple hours enjoying the beach, he provided a lily pad, toddler inflatable toys and a slide. He was so patient with the "littles" in our party. We had a great day out on the water with Captain Joe and his first mate Cosmo. If you're looking for 4 hours of fun in the Sarasota area, you need to book a trip on the Siesta Funship. This is definitely something I'll do again when entertaining out of town guests. Everyone in the group had a great time!

Great way to spend the day! Fun family day, snorkeling, finding sand dollars, saw manatees, relaxing and making memories on the beach and sandbars. Captain Joseph and Cozmo were amazing! Definitely recommend and will do again!

This is a must do for anyone looking to have a great time on the water. Captain Joseph and Cosmo are a great team and they made our day amazing. The ship had a great sound system and plenty of ice for our beverages. The slide was also a lot of fun! We brought our dog who became fast friends with Cosmo.

Siesta Funship never disappoints! This was our family’s 3rd year in a row with Captain Joe and we always have a blast. He is so nice and welcoming and always points out dolphins or manatees. We found tons of sand dollars, went paddle boarding and of course utilized the slide! We love it!

I had such a great experience on the Funship!! The crew was awesome - had a big cooler with ice waiting for us when we arrived and took us all over the area. We spent time exploring the area on the boat, parked it by a beach so we could swim and go down the slide and even saw some dolphins! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a fun boat activity.

Captain Joe was very accommodating to our entire family. He was very knowledgeable and was able to bring us to all the great spots for swimming, dolphin watching and sightseeing. His dog Cosmo was a great first mate.

We took a 4-hour boat ride this week with 4 adults, twin 7-year olds and a 2 year old. Started off with a leisurely cruise looking at the million dollar homes and enjoying the sunshine and good music. Captain Joe was hoping to spot some sting rays for us but no luck. We then cruised over to the sandbar for some swimming on the beach and playing with the water toys. Hopped back on boat and spotted dolphins! Kids LOVED that! (Ok, adults did too!). Captain Joe was incredibly nice, engaged with our kids, and overall gave us a great experience. As dog lovers, having Cosmo the little dog on board was also a treat! Big thank you to Captain Joe!!

I booked a half day cruise for a group of 13 girls as part of my sisters bachelorette weekend. Captain Joe was super accommodating and even reached out to me a few days in advance of our trip to ensure that he was keeping an eye on the weather to make sure we were safe and able to enjoy our time on the water. Captain Joe and Matt (and Captain Cosmo - the dog) took us to a sand bar where they provided a lily pad, chairs and floats to use for lounging. We had a blast going down the water slide! Water and a cooler was provided as well which was so nice. All the girls said that the boat trip was one of the best parts of the weekend. We even saw dolphins and sand dollars! I’m so happy I booked with Siesta Funship and HIGHLY recommend to anyone looking for a fun time with friends or family. Thank you Captain Joe & Matt for being great hosts and especially for having Cosmo as a boat dog who we all fell in love with. Hope to be back in Siesta Key soon!

Captain Joe and Cosmo (the dog) were a blast! They were very accommodating and even took us to meet up with some friends that also rented a pontoon. Knew all the best spots to go and sights to see. Highly recommend!

We spent a few hours with Captain Joe and his niece. What a great time! We had 8 people and the boat was plenty big enough for all of us and our coolers. Captain Joe provides coolers so it isn't necessary for you to bring one if you don't want to. It is such a relaxing day...cruising the ocean, viewing the beautiful houses and finding the perfect spot to enjoy the water. He has all the water accessories you need! I'd say the biggest hit was the slide and of course "Cosmo"..his puppy! We will definitely do this again. I encourage you to book this trip..you will not be disappointed!

I have a big family, with 8 young kids. Joe and Dave did an excellent job of customizing the outing for us. Their knowledge of the area, their perfect portion of attentiveness made for a wonderful memorable outing.
