The tour was amazing. My son and I leaned learned things about Miami we had no clue about. John was an excellent tour guide. Anyone who can keep a 22 year old engaged has got to be an excellent tour guide.

4 hour tour of Miami. John was our guide and was extremely knowledgeable and a fantastic city guide. Pickup was on time and we felt we had a very in-depth view of the city and surrounding areas. I would highly recommend this tour!
Best sightseeing tour in Miami hands down. Our tour guide John was absolutely amazing. A very knowledgeable guy who took the time to explain the history and present life in Miami. He was a accommodating at all times during the tour and made sure we were consistently having a great time. In an open top jeep with the wind blowing, we visited Wynwood, South beach, little Havana, Coconut grove and many other places just to name a few. I feel that we really did get to experience the beautiful highlights of Miami in just a few hours. Thank you John for a wonderful experience which we will never forget!
Awesome experience! great fun and lots of learning really interesting got to know a Miami that no one ever gets to see a must do! Cool idea to drive around in a convertible jeep, felt like a local in town. John was great and my kids loved it!
Favorite part of the experience was the knowledge of the guide, Miguel. He blended the history of Miami -- the origin of its name, the importance Seminole peoples, etc. with the past and current development of the city and its locales of interest like the Wynwood art district and its history. Very comprehensive tour in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere
We started the day with Miguel picking us up at our hotel and we were off and running...Went to so many historic places. Miguel really knows the history of Miami. Learned many interesting facts about old Miami...worth the price, lots of fun and we can't say enough about Miguel's customer service and personality...
This was an amazing time with Jhon. He knows the city and showed as a number of things that we simply would not have seen on a regular bus tour. Highly recommended way to see Miami and get some in-depth knowledge that you simply would not get on a regular bus tour. Excellent value.
Mike was a super guide. He’s passionate and very convinrent. He showed us many things about Miami and it’s story. I recommande it very much
Best part of our vacation in Miami ! We were in a private new Jeep with the best tour guide ever, John! He was an archaeology graduate and super charismatic so knew a great deal and was very entertaining and informative. We saw every part of Miami from the comfort of our air conditioned Jeep! Wish I had done this last time we were in Miami.
This is one of the best travel experiences I have ever had in my life - seriously! Jhon was excellent to work with on the customer service end, but OH! Miguel!!!! There aren't enough words to explain how above and beyond Miguel went to make sure we had a stellar day as our city guide. When I mentioned I loved history, he leaned into that interest. His love for the city and for people in general made the tour the highlight of our time in South Florida. It was worth every penny just to experience Little Havana with him as our guide - that alone would have been enough. But I could never, ever put a price on how much more he exposed us to throughout the day. I know I'm gushing, and I'm not the least bit ashamed. Book this tour! You will NOT regret it! (And for Pete's sake...ask for Miguel!)
Amazing Tour of Miami and surrounding areas. Jhon, from Tons of Fun Tours & Rentals > Tonsoffuntours.com, was an amazing tour guide. He is well versed in the history of S. Florida, has a degree in anthropology, loves what he does, and it all translates into an amazing tour. He even took us to an authentic Cuba Restaurant in little Havana with delicious food! We will never forget this tour. It definitely is one of the best we've been on! The Wynwood street art & art deco areas of South Beach definitely are a must see!
We had a great private jeep tour through Miami. Jhon showed us many different places and put an emphasis on the contrasts and diversity of Miami area. While crusing Jhon shared his knowledge about Miami‘s history, geology, architecture… Highly recommend also for families with Oh Lo teenagers :-)
Jhon was a wonderful tour guide and my friend and I enjoyed a really fun day with him exploring Miami on many levels. He was informative and knowledgeable and shared an abundance of information about the history, arts, culture, real estate market, and geography in a highly entertaining and respectful manner. I highly recommend him/ this tour to anyone who wants to learn more about Miami!!
Fantastic tour lasting 4 hours of multiple cool neighborhoods, key iconic parks and really incredible wall art. The owner who gave us the private tour was born in Miami and was incredibly knowledgeable of the history across a broad spectrum. It was a lot of fun and highly recommended
John is a true gentleman. Open the door for my wife every time we left and got back to vehicle. He Knows Miami very well. Very informative the whole trip. Had a itinerary set up but was willing to accommodate anything else you wanted to see or do. Picked up and dropped off at hotel. We had a wonderful time with him.
Our guide was exceptional and very informative. He is friendly and willing to go the extra mile to make you have a wonderful experience.
Fabulous tour! John knows everything about Miami and shares his immense knowledge in a fun and dynamic way. This was our first trip to Miami so we were wanting to get our bearings and see the highlights. John did that and so much more. This isn’t one of those tours where it’s all about staying to a strict timescale (unless you want that), it’s a tour that flex’s around you. Will definitely book another tour when we are back in town.
We did this great private open Jeep tour around Miami and had the chance to get a flavor of the city in just a couple of hours. Jhon drove us through the city and to the beaches and told a lot of history and his enthousiasm was great to listen to. This was a great way to get to know Miami a little better!
Jhon was amazing! He was very knowledgeable and showed us that not only does Miami have beautiful beaches, but there’s so much more!! We saw the beauty of Miami and learned so much about the history. What an amazing city!! Jhon was also super friendly, accommodating, kind & fun! The vehicle was super clean and it made for a great experience!
Could not recommend highly enough. Miguel is a true gentleman and so knowledgeable - he also drives like a pro chauffeur! We learnt so much and felt totally immersed in the culture (particularly in Little Havana). We came away feeling like we had made a new friend. If you’re wondering whether or not you should book a tour, get on and do it, you will not regret your decision. Thank you Miguel, we’ll be coming back to Miami just to catch up with you again!
If I could leave 10 stars, I would! We were lucky enough to have Miguel as our tour guide in our Private tour of the city of Miami, South Beach, Coral Gables and more. Miguel was fantastic. His 40+ years of living in Miami is evident as he provided in-depth history on the pioneers of Miami. His personality shined through throughout the tour, and as a result of that, we were able to meet local artists as they were painting a memorial in one of the art districts. Another tour guide would have driven by these artists, but not Miguel. He stopped and talked with them, providing us even MORE information on the art district. Moving on to Coral Gables, we got history on the history behind how it was developed. As we passed by a well-known home, we even learned about the infamous Coconut Grove murder in 1984. We ended the day by enjoying a cup of Cuban coffee in Little Havana and met quite a few local that Miguel introduced us to. He really made us feel like one of the family. How can I forget all the pictures that Miguel’s took for me. We got many good family pictures and several great photo stops. Luckily we have one selfie of us with Miguel so that we have as a keepsake! My family and I had an absolutely wonderful day. By far, this tour with Miguel was the highlight of our trip to South Beach, Miami. We weren’t a client or customer that day. Nope, we were a member of his family. That’s how I felt. The awesome comfortable Jeep with the top down was an added benefit! Thank you Miguel, and Tons of Fun Tours for a great time!
We spent the day with TONS OF FUN TOURS AND RENTALS and it was a perfect day. John couldn’t have been more accommodating, kind, informative, helpful and knowledgeable. His love for Miami is evident. I highly recommend any tour they offer. Again, it was a perfect day.
Miguel was amazing! He told us some very interesting facts about miami. We left the car and went to a nice little shop(Big Papa), drank coconut water and learned a lot about little havana and the people in and around miami. The art district was a great expirience! Thank you Miguel for the great time!
Booked this tour with Tons of Fun as I wanted the comfort and convenience of a personal tour rather than get shuttled and bumped around on a big bus tour. I got to see everything I wanted (South Beach, Ocean Drive, Little Havana, Wynwood, Coconut Grove and Coral Gables etc etc ) in the comfort of an open top jeep and accompanied by a very knowledgeable and courteous guide - Miguel (Also called Mike). We covered a lot of distance in approx 4 hours and I personally thought it was worth the money. Highly recommend.
We had a fantastic time seeing all of Miami! Our guide was great, he drove us to all the sites while we got to relax and enjoy learning about the history and culture. Thanks to Jhon we fell in love with Miami!
The Tons of Fun Tours & Rental we booked in Miami was awesome. Our guide/driver was passionate about introducing us to Miami. He explained history, culture, environment, and many other topics. As an anthropologist and artist, it was great. I highly recommend this tour!
John was very accommodating and knowledgeable. 4 hour trip went by very quickly. I definitely recommend.
My wife and I booked a private tour of Miami. Jhon picked us up in at our hotel on the beach. We've had many tours throughout the country and a few in foriegn countries. Jhons love for the city was only surpassed by his knowledge and courtesy. He personalized the tour for our interests. It was the favorite guided tour that we've taken. We couldn't have been more satisfied. Thank you Jhon and God Bless you and your family.
If you are interested in getting an overall idea of what Miami has to offer, this is the perfect tour! Our guide was very passionate about the wntire Miami metro area, and was able to show us nature/wildlife, architecture, street art, and much more. My wife and I would highly recommend!
Mughel was very friendly and helpful, we had a great time I recommend this tour if you want to see the most important areas in Miami.
Exceptional tour. Jhon was a great guide with so much great info and sights jammed into 4-5 hours. Great way to see All aspects of Miami! Highly recommend.
Jhon went above and beyond to ensure that we (me, my husband, pre teen, and teen - a very diverse group) had an experience tailored to each one of us individually. He improvised effortlessly on the spot. His passion and knowledge of the city (including history, flora and fauna....) was inspiring. Highly recommend!
The overall tour was excellent, John our guide had great knowledge of the area and was very informative, he looked after us very well.
John was the best fuide we ever had. He explained us everything about this very nice city. We want to come back.
Our city tour with Jhon exceeded our expectations. He is well educated about the history and architecture of metro Miami and gave us information in a passionate and fun manner. He picked us up at our hotel and took us to Coral Gables, Coconut Grove, Brickell Avenue, Key Biscayne and South Beach. We stopped in Little Havana for ice cream and stopped at Wynwood Walls to tour the art scene. The tour lasted more than the allotted time but he was enthusiastic about showing us as much as he could. I definitely recommend this tour.
I would highly recommend this tour of Miami. The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable, very interesting and accommodating. If you have certain places you would like to visit .. not a problem .. he is very willing to work with you. We got picked up at the hotel which is plus ! I am definitely returning with friends and family for another tour !
Whenever we visit a new city, we like to have a more curated and tailored tour without the associated big group noise, slowness and lowest-common-denominator focus. Traveled with our friends who are also into history, food and culture. Our guide Miguel was a typical Miami resident who was able to give insight as a Cuban American who has seen the city evolve over decades. He was accommodating, always had an answer no matter our random question and was able to modify our tour depending on what we were interested in. His driving was secure and the Jeep was new and clean! Jhon was quick and clear with his communication. He was even accessible by real time chat on their site. LOVE tours like this! Would be cool if they had a foodie focused version.
This was our second tour with this company. We were so pleased with both of them. Emerson picked us up from our hotel in a jeep. It was a beautiful day. Emerson, who is a native of the area, was extremely knowledgable. He adjusted our trip according to what we wanted to see. We had stayed at the Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables in November, so we did not need to see it again. It was very interesting to hear about the history of the areas. We visited many neighborhoods, including downtown, Coconut Grove, Coral Gables, Little Havana, the Wynwood Walls,South Beach, etc. We tried Cuban coffee and chicken empanadas in Little Havana. Delicious! We have gained an appreciation of architecture due to Emerson. He took photos of us several times and slowed down for us to take photos. We are so glad that we took this tour. We now know several things that we want to do, when we visit Miami the next time. We highly recommend this tour.
we had a good time and was shown plenty of the sights of miami and we really enjoyed little havana as we also went back a few days later to have dinner.
John was an excellent guide. We toured several areas of Miami and Miami Beach. John provide history and back stories. He modified the trip to accommodate our requests. Highly recommend this tour.
Jhon was an excellent Tour Guide. Jhon’s Knowledge of the Miami area is amazing. We toured South Beach, Downtown Miami including the Wynwood Walls, Key Biscayne, Coconut Grove, Coral Gables including the Venetian Pool and Little Havana. My wife and I are new tourists to the area. Before our trip we thought of Miami as just South Beach. Jhon’s knowledge is incredible and we learned an amazing amount of information about all the incredible beauty of Miami. Jhon knows the history and adds tremendous insight to all of the locations we visited. We highly recommended this tour and this tour was the highlight of our visit to Miami!
This was a perfect way to see Miami... it was a little more expensive than a normal city tour but it was worth the extra $$. When I originally booked the tour for the 4 of us (2 US and 2 German couples) I spoke with Flynt (The Owner) ...he was very prompt in answering all of my questions. Our tour guide (Jhon) was on time and provided an excellent overview of Miami. He was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about showing us around. I would definitely recommend this tour.
Amazing private tour of Miami. Our guide Jhon was absolutely perfect, his knowledge and love of Miami was clearly evident throughout the 4.5 hour adventure. From the pickup at the train station to the navigation between the many areas of Miami our family of 5 was treated to an in depth history of this diverse city. Jhon was eager to explain everything with precise attention to detail. It was fun to ride in the oversized Jeep, this gave the tour the ability to venture to places absolutely not accessible to the big bus tours... which i’ve done in Miami and disliked. The tour is more expensive than the tourist trap buses but it was well worth the expense to receive the in depth knowledge and never rushed feeling Jhon displayed. In addition, the owner Flynt, was readily available prior to the tour to answer any/all questions in a timely manner. Tons of Fun tours exceeded my expectations. A+++.
We had a great day with our guide, who was very knowledgeable, and let us stop, or not, whenever, and wherever we wanted. We only had one full day to see as much as possible, and he did an amazing job, despite the traffic. I would highly recommend this tour!
Although my wife and I have spent time in Miami before, our visits were limited to the airport and Miami Beach. On this trip we decided to expand our awareness, and our research led us to Tons of Fun, and our amazing guide, John. He possesses the amazing blend of the historical perspective of a cultural anthropologist, and the communications skills of a gifted teacher. The sheer breadth of the tour was amazing—from the avant- garde art of Wynwood, the natural beauty of the bird sanctuary on Key Biscayne, to the fascinating contrasts between the neighborhoods of Coral Gables and Coconut Grove. Total home run!!
If you are interested in a high quality tour to introduce you to Miami, look no further! Our tour guide John was super knowledgable, friendly, warm, and accommodating. John offered a great overview of the city's history and culture while driving us through Miami's most diverse and vibrant neighborhoods. There was no question he couldn't answer, so we enjoyed many side conversations along the way. All in all, an excellent tour!
We were very pleased with this tour. Ignacio, our tour guide did a perfect job. He was very informative, provided us with a lot of information about the past and the present of Miami. He was just excellent. Thank you very much!
I called Tons of Fun agency after reading great reviews here and I was not disappointed. I was looking for a last minute day visit of Miami as I only had a few hours for me before heading back to Europe and I couldn't have had a better guide than Jhon for that experience. He has the amazing ability to tell the story of the city and its inhabitants in a very simple and entertaining way yet with a depth of knowledge that is remarkable. We explored many different districts of Miami from Miami Beach to Wynwood Walls to the Financial district to Coconut Grove to Little Havana, and more. It has been an amazing day. I'll definitely come back but this time with family and for vacation. Thank you Jhon!
My family of six persons from Ireland including four children aged 9 years old to 19 years old spent a few days in Miami last August and booked a half day tour private tour of Miami and an all day Everglades tour with Tons of Fun . Our guide was Jhon who was fantastic. He basically packed in everything in to see in Miami tailoring it all our kids interests. Our tour of the Everglades was one of the highlights of our US trip and again Jhon did a fantastic job in customising the tour for all ages. I would highly recomend this firm.
Greetings! We were visiting Miami for the first time with two other couples. We were looking for a fun and informative way to spend an afternoon- and boy this fit the bill!!! We had a ball!! Jhon was our guide and he was amazing!! He knows so much about the city, history, culture the arts- he is a wealth of knowledge .He is so passionate about his city!!! He presents the information in a fun,yet educational way... very hard to pull off, but he does it perfectly!! Dealing with this company was also easy and professional. I booked last minute, and Flynt did everything to help me pick the perfect tour. He even went so far as to call Jhon in for the tour, even though it was his day off!!
