Great fishing experience!! Captain Jim was very nice guide and explained everything well. My girlfriend not too experienced, also got the swing of it. A lot of activity, got 7 nice fat red snappers, also a couple of big bites that got away. Also 2 barracudas we let them out again. Amazing trip around the Keys, definitely wanna do this again

Do not hesitate to book with Capt. Jim. He is very professional, incredibly knowledgeable, and patient. He put us on the fish and we had our limit in no time, then spent the rest of our time fishing catch and release. His boat is so clean you could eat off of it. It was a great experience!!

The sea was angry that day, my friends.. November winds can make fishing challenging, but Captain Jim didn't let that stand in the way. We caught some amazing Mangrove Snapper, as well as a barracuda and a few other fish. Jim was very patient, showing us proper techniques to land fish. After we were done fishing, Jim cleaned and de-boned our catch and recommended a local restaurant who would cook them for us. It was the best dinner we had during our stay. I will definitely book another trip next time I come to the keys.

Captain Jim is the real deal! Expert guide and we fished the current on the flats in the morning. Limited out on mangrove snapper and yellowtail snapper. Fantastic dinners with those fish! Boat is good for two, not more. Captain Jim is a very nice guy, down to earth and a great teacher as well. Highly recommended!

We made our reservations several weeks in advance and were pleased when Capt. Jim contacted us the day before we were to go out with him to make sure we knew where and when he would meet us. At the appointed time, he was at the pier ready to go. After taking a few minutes for a required (and common sense) safety briefing, we were on our way. The boat was comfortable for the two of us. Almost as soon as we dropped the anchor, we started catching fish. After we returned, he cleaned our catch and put the fillets in an insulated bag with crushed ice. Captain Jim is a knowledgeable and very personable man and made our trip a real pleasure. When we come back to this area, we plan on booking another trip with him. Highly recommended.

We can’t say enough about Captain Jim. He is a great guide and went far beyond making our first saltwater fishing experience the best ever!! He definitely knows his fish and will put you exactly in a position to catch every time you cast. He cleaned and filet our fish and sent us to Hogfish Grill where they grilled, fried, and blackened our fish!! Absolutely amazing. It was definitely the highlight of our first trip to Key West and will definitely be back next year with Captain Jim. Thank you again!! See you next year

Highly recommended!! Our fishing charter experience was outstanding. Capt Jim was knowledgeable, experienced, patient and had a great sense of humor. He taught us and brought us to the fish! We caught several and had a blast doing it. When the charter was finished, Capt Jim filleted our fish, and packed it on ice in a soft-sided cooler that he provided for us. We were able to cook and eat our catch later that day. We even had enough that I was able to make ceviche with the snapper fillets! Thank you, Capt Jim! We really enjoyed sharing the day with you and will definitely book our next charter with you again.

My son and I went fishing with Captain Jim and had an excellent experience. Jim's boat was clean & comfortable and he quickly put us on the fish. There was never a dull moment as we caught fish one after the other in all sizes and types. I fish regularly and learned quite a bit from Jim's extensive knowledge of the area and how to catch the many fish that live there. My son isn't a fisherman and Jim was great at teaching my son exactly what to do to be successful catching fish. It worked, we caught more fish than we could count. After the trip Jim cleaned up the fish and packed them in ice and sent us to a restaurant where they prepared the fish 4 different ways. They served them family style and our whole group was able to enjoy the meal. Big thanks to Captain Jim for a fun day in the Keys! I highly recommend contacting Jim for a day on the water.

Capt. Jim was an absolutely fantastic guide! He was incredibly knowledgeable and flexible. We had to change the date due to weather. He was very up front about the conditions and about safety. We learned so much about fishing, the keys, and other wild life we saw while on his boat. Everything was very clean and relaxed. I cannot recommend Captain Jim enough. He is incredibly personable, knowledgeable and skilled as a fisherman. We caught a wide variety of fish, although some weren't edible we had a lot of fun reeling them in for the half day. We managed to catch enough for dinner for the family too! My boyfriend had on a huge fish on the line but wasn't able to bring it in, that just means we'll have to come back again. Captain Jim went above and beyond the call of duty, after the trip he filleted our catch and brought it to us in a cooler bag to go. I am looking forward to doing this again later this year.

We caught a total of 11 fish (ocean trout and mangrove snapper - a great tasting fish). We had booked with him in July but the weather did not cooperate; so we booked again in December and he moved out fishing day due to winds. We had a nice morning and a great time. Me and my father in law and his other son in law called Capt jim about going on a 4 hour charter. I based the decision off his reviews and I tell you we were not disappointed , we caught sea trout and other fish all day . He even took us out shark fishing even know we didnt catch anything I had 2 sharks on and it was a awsome experience. I will call Capt jim every time we come down to fish. Did a 2 day charter with Captain Jim. First day was a guys trip and second with the family. We fished in several different locations for many types of fish. We caught Tarpon, Mackerel, Many types of Snapper, and many others. Had enough fish to feed us a couple meals! The highlight of the trip was on day two when we caught a 7ft lemon shark!!! What an awesome trip. Captain Jim is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to finding what you are looking for and there was never a dull moment the entire time!! I surprised my Sweetie with a 1/2 day fishing trip for his birthday and would do it again for sure! Capt Jim Loftus was outstanding! capt jim will put you on the fish. he took me out to shark alley where I experienced the catch of a life time, a 9 ft 250 lb bull shark. it was awesome !!!

Fishing was a little rough with the winds .. Went to the back country to hide from the winds .. With in about 20 mins of the bait in the water we were hooked up fought the Bull shark for a bout 45 mins !! Went back were we dropped anchor .. Achored back up dropped bait 15 mins later hooked up again . What a Challenge of fighting a 250-300 # pound fish .. Had a great time and Captain Jim made it so easy !! Thanks Captain .. I'll Diffenitly b back !!!

It was my first-time fishing and now it will be my passion. The captain coordinated everything right from the weather to the fishing spots. He knew it will be an incredible beautiful day.
