Private Clearwater Beach Kayak Tour & Island Adventure

This was the first time that I’ve ever gone kayaking, and Ashley made it a great experience! The kayaks were very sturdy, comfortable, and easy to paddle, which made the entire experience enjoyable from start to finish. Ashley was an outstanding guide. She was friendly, engaging, and made the trip so much more interesting by sharing facts about the area, the beautiful waterfront homes, local history, and even some celebrity residences along the route. The conversation flowed naturally and made the paddle feel effortless. What really sets this tour apart from others is that it actually has a destination and purpose. Instead of just kayaking around to nowhere like other tours, we paddled about 35 minutes to a private island, where my daughter and I had plenty of time to explore, relax in the sun, collect shells, enjoy the waves, listen to music, and snack on the refreshments Ashley provided. It felt like a mini island getaway in the middle of the adventure. After soaking in the island atmosphere, we made the scenic 35-minute paddle back to shore. This outing was the perfect balance of activity, relaxation, and sightseeing all in one. If you're looking for a unique experience in Clearwater that goes beyond a typical kayak rental or tour, I highly recommend this one…I'll definitely be recommending this tour to my friends and family!

My daughter and I had a great experience on our kayak trip. Our guide, Ashley, did a terrific job leading our group across open water while telling some interesting stories about Clearwater, as well. Beautiful scenery and chill vibes. A cool way to get away from the bustle of Clearwater.

We had the best time with Ashley as our guide to "No Name" island. Of course, I have to give a shout out to Capt Moose the lil frenchie who was large and in charge. We got to swim, someone found two baby starfish, we got a glimpse of some playful dolphins, stories were told and just being on the water was really cool for a land lumber like me. Well done Ashley!

This was the BEST start to our day! We decided to go at 9:30am and the weather was perfect. Ashley is thoughtful and welcoming. She provided everything you need for a kayaking trip & more. We even had the pleasure of having a bonus tour guide aka the sweetest dog ever, Moose! I highly recommend this experience if you’re in town.

We had the BEST time with 727 Watersports! From start to finish, everything was seamless and so well done. Our tour guide, Ashley, was incredible—so friendly, knowledgeable, and made the entire trip feel personal and fun. The journey itself was beautiful. We kayaked through the canal, passing stunning homes, and then it opened up to the ocean where we paddled out to a private little island—such an unforgettable view. It felt like something out of a postcard. One of the highlights was seeing a family of dolphins playing just off the island—truly magical. And we can’t forget Moose… Ashley’s French bulldog! He completely stole the show. Watching him stand proudly at the front of her kayak like the captain of our trip was the cutest thing ever. We absolutely loved him! Ashley also gave us a recommendation for the most beautiful rooftop spot to catch the sunset, which was the perfect way to end the day. This was a 5-star experience all around, and we will 100% be back to do it again. Highly recommend! 🌊🐬☀️

Ashley took my husband and I to a small island with beautiful views. She was mindful of weather conditions, and even adjusted the timing for us due to the wind forecast. The kayaks were stable and comfortable. Conveniently, she provided a beach towel, snacks, and drinks. She set up a place on the beach for us to sit and relax and we enjoyed good music and conversation. The experience is like having your (more experienced) friend take you on a kayak trip. The duration was just right. The icing on the cake was her companion, Moose. A charming, playful and well-behaved French bulldog.

We compared several kayak tours in Clearwater before our girls trip, and we’re so glad we chose this one. What really stood out was the beach break in the middle of the tour. Instead of kayaking nonstop for two hours, we had time to relax in the sun and enjoy the beach, which was perfect since most of our group were beginner kayakers. One tip if you’re comparing tours: don’t be swayed by the glass-bottom kayaks some companies advertise. The water just isn’t clear enough to really see through them, so the feature isn’t worth it in our opinion. The sturdy kayaks used on this tour felt very stable, and we never worried about tipping - even when larger boats passed by - which made the experience much more relaxing and enjoyable for beginners. Ashley was great -incredibly helpful and patient, and she really went above and beyond, even bringing great snacks for us. If you’re going during the warmer months, the beach break is the perfect chance to jump in the water and cool off. We would highly recommend this tour for kayakers of all ages and experience levels.

Ashley was an expert guide and made us feel right at home on the water. She thought of everything, including the beach set up, which was a nice detail. It included snacks, music, and great conversation. She shared some fun facts about the local area. The kayaks were very stable even on a windy day. I am a novice and she made sure to have us in her sights the entire time so we felt safe and well cared for. Would definitely recommend her!!

I went with my wife and daughter who have almost no experience with kayaking and Ashley our guide was great in explaining how to properly paddle the kayaks . She was patient and a great guide. The trip to the island was scenic and we spent an hour on the island relaxing and playing with her adorable dog Moose! This is a great tour as you pass under a low bridge and see beautiful homes. Two thumbs up for this.

A magic kayak trip paddling to a beautiful secluded private island. Saw dolphins, mini hammerhead looking sharks, and crabs in the crystal clear water. Kayaks are so comfortable, impossible to tip and have storage bins to hold all your loose items. Ashley and her bulldog, Moose, are the best parts of the trip because she shares all kinds of insider tips while Moose stands at the front of her kayak looking straight ahead like he is the captain of a large ocean vessel. You get plenty of time on the sandy island to enjoy the snacks, music and beach chairs Ashley provides. A wonderful time and all stress free with an easy to find launch site and a guide who knows the area inside and out.

The boats were new and kept in good condition. The service was excellent and the guide was very professional. Would recommend to my friends and family and will definitely be using this company again.

Ashley is a wonderful guide! She pulled out all the stops. She brought towels, cold water, took full care of getting us into the water and out, gave us local history and fun stories, and also space to connect with college friends. She set up a fun beach break for us with snacks and drinks and candy, and took photos and video of us and airdropped them at the end. She’s a fun and engaging presence and also was mindful of giving us space to connect. This was a fantastic experience. We would highly recommend!

We had the best time on our kayak trip! Just four friends on a girls trip with our guide, Ashley, who made sure to give us the best experience ever. Ashley made sure the kayaks were ready to go with towels, drinks, snacks, and sunscreen just for us. She gave us a quick tutorial, and we were in the water. It was about a 35 minute paddle to a private island where we enjoyed the water for about an hour and then paddled back. The perfect combination of activity and relaxation! We would most definitely book again! Ashley is friendly and helpful and gave us lots of ideas for our trip along with some great pictures of our kayaking adventure!!

So. Much. Fun! Ashley, the owner of 727 Watersports, took my friends and I on a couple hour tour of the intercoastal waters with a stop on an uninhabited beach where we could swim, collect seashells and snack. The kayaks were comfortable and stable allowing me to look around and enjoy all there was to see. Ashley was knowledgeable about the area, friendly and easy to get along with. Moose, her French bulldog, came along for the trip and only added to the fun! And we saw dolphins!! We will definitely book another tour when we are back near Clearwater!

This was everything I wanted and more! Ashley was professional, but also so much fun. She is very knowledgeable about the area. She provides towels, water, and snacks. We were so glad we chose her over the clear bottom kayaks. Her kayaks are super comfortable and more stable. There were some waves but there was no time in the almost 3 hours that I thought I would flip. We saw dolphins on the way back, right by our kayaks! Would definitely recommend her to friends 10/10 and will absolutely be booking with her again in the future!
