This boat tour and sandbar hopping was by far the best experience we had the whole week on the island. The guide was knowledgeable and very easy going. Allowed us to pick our own trip with his guidance and even let us take over the Bluetooth! Best time ever!
Amazing experience. Our group wanted to go snorkeling, look for dolphins, and find some sandbars to relax and we were able to do everything we wanted. We will definitely be coming back!

Matt was a wonderful guide. He had great knowledge regarding the sea creatures we came across. I appreciated that the boat had covering so we weren’t in the sun the whole time. The snorkeling was only so so but that’s nothing against the tour - we just only saw simple small fish while we snorkeled.
We got to see so many amazing things on the island. Sand dollars, dolphins, driftwood, and lots of beautiful scenery both from the boat and from snorkeling. The kids loved the paddle board and play mat too. Great adventure for all ages!
Highly recommend! We had a great time despite the stormy weather. Our guide was great letting the toddlers jump off the boat. We got to hunt for sand dollars, stop at beercan island, paddleboard, snorkel and float on a mat. 10/10
Beth took us out and it was fantastic! It was a group of 6 adults, all couples. She asked what we were interested in seeing and we went from there. She told us the history of the fishing village and even suggested a couple of great local restaurants! From there we popped over to enjoy watching a dolphin swimming and playing. She then took us over to snorkel and hunt for shells. We found lots of beautiful sealife, including sand dollars that were alive, a huge conch shell with the conch in it amongst lots of other shells. We then went over to beer can island and holy holy, it was stunning! After that we went over to check out some beautiful homes on Longboat Key from the water. It was an awesome trip where we made lots of memories. If you are looking for a charter to take you out, I would highly recommend Island Time Boat Tours!
I scheduled the trip to give my elderly mother and niece with mobility issues an easier way of seeing the water and getting to the beach. A few days after arriving in Florida I was concerned that it might be to much for them as they were struggling in the heat and with the walking on the island. I called in last minute with my concerns and the owner was very accommodating and explained the accessibility of the boat and stoping locations and was very upfront that with the 3 hr trip booked we would really need to stop somewhere to get our money’s worth as just boating around for 3 hours would not be that exciting or consider shorting the trip. We ended up sticking with the trip as booked. My mother who walks with a cane was able to get on the boat very easily and although she chose to stay on the boat for both stops I think she could have gotten on and off fine and my niece had no problems. The boat was comfortable and surprisingly cool under the overhang considering the temperature outside. We saw some dolphins, explored a beach and spent some time in the ocean on a sandbar. All very low key which was what my party needed. Captain Beth checked in often to see how we were enjoying the trip and providing options us on how to spend our time on the water. A lovely trip and my mom and niece were very happy we went. A major plus was captain Beth as my party was much more comfortable with a woman captain. 👩✈️
This was my third time booking with Captain Beth and Island Time Boat Tours. We love being on the water with this company. We saw dolphin (including babies), a manatee, and many birds. We walked on the shore and could explore underwater for wildlife. Two hours was too short. Captain Beth is very knowledgeable and helpful. Our captain was wonderful and very accommodating when we arrived early and allowed us to board well before our charter was scheduled to begin. She also ensured that we found dolphins, as this was what my daughter wanted to see the most. We definitely recommend!
We had the best day with Captain Mike! He was so easy-going and fun with the kids. Took us to amazing spots and we all got to see dolphins, starfish, giant welks, crabs, and even a baby octopus! He was so knowledgeable about the islands and all the marine life. It was the highlight of our vacation! We will definitely book again and recommend to friends and family!

Matt was great. Never felt rushed or like we missed out on something. We saw dolphins, hunted for sand dollars and shells went paddle boarding, and overall enjoyed the time in and on the water.
No bathroom on board as advertised . Should advertise byob. Tour guide was very informative and helpful . Did see dolphins and a manatee which was awesome!
We did the two hour dolphin tour with Captain Beth. She was very friendly and knowledgeable about the local area. She took us to an area near some waterside apartments to see dolphins. We saw some dolphins immediately. Obviously they’re wild dolphins so we were only able to see them from a distance, they didn’t come near the boat. Beth then took us to a submerged sandbank near Jewfish Island. It’s waist deep. We spent some time paddle boarding there which was fun. We then had just under an hour left. It would have been nice to be taken to a nice quiet beach but we just drove around for a while until it was time to go back. We saw some interesting properties and a bird nest. Overall a good trip but it would have been better to have more of a schedule and input from the captain to make the most of our time.
Our family of five had a great time. We had the chance to see dolphins, explore a beautiful beach, and snorkel on a shallow sandbar area.
This was such a fun trip was our two young kids. Captains Beth and Matt were so kind and tailored it exactly to our hopes and our kids dreams of seeing dolphins and other creatures. Highly recommend.

Captain Matt and Captain Beth were amazing. Captain Matt went out of his way to show us a good time and made sure the kids had a great time. He took us to see dolphins, shelling, and then shelling for sand dollars. Everything was very accommodating and worth the trip.

Five stars isn’t enough for Captain Matt and Captain Beth. We’ve been on several private trips but this is by far the best we’ve ever taken! Captain Beth was very knowledgeable, fun and knows the secret spots! She put us on just the right spot and we found the biggest Lightning Whelk they have seen. Cannot recommend them enough. We will never go with anyone else.

Beth was an excellent captain, tour guide and secretary as she helped me with the booking 😂. This tour was for my son’s birthday and she tailored it around what he wanted which made him feel special. We saw several groups of manatees, did some snorkeling which is what he wanted and walked around a part of Longboat Key that had tons of drift wood. She recommended restaurants as we passed by them, beaches for us to take our dog and even another tour guide for Kayaking. I would highly recommend the boat tour, and Island Time Boat Tours as your guide!!!
During our Anna Maria vacation, we were hoping to get out on the water, visit Egmont Key, enjoy some snorkeling and see dolphins. Captain Matt delivered on all three! Communication was great with Beth ahead of time and they were able to accommodate our last minute booking around the rainy weather we had during our stay. Looking forward to returning to AMI and our next excursion with Island Time!

Matta and Beth are great captains and tour guides . We had a great time on the water with them. We saw so many dolphins and really loved going around Long Boat and onto Beer Can island. We had a sunny but cooler day but they made it very enjoyable. We brought our doodle Winston and they were so great with him. They kept him on the boat while we walked the island. Thank you both
Capt. Matt was the best tour guide! This experience is super customizable. He asked what we wanted to do- and made it happen! Matt was friendly and super knowledgeable. He felt like a friend and not a stranger, which was perfect for a family outing for father’s day. Our dad had recently had knee surgery and was a little uneasy on his feet. Matt took great care to ensure his safety and comfort. Us young ones wanted to enjoy a few beers in the sand bar, and Matt helped us find some sea critters!
