Even though it was a short trip due to stormy weather, Captain Jason made our trip smooth and comfortable and worked hard to get us a few fish before the weather moved in. With brand new young anglers needing a lot of help he did great, and understood didn’t matter what they caught, just wanted those kids to get to wet a line and reel something in. If we had more time, i have no doubt we could have caught some keepers, but no one controls the weather. Thank you again for the short but awesome trip and for the partial refund which was more than I expected! Highly recommend!

Wow! Captain Kevin was absolutely incredible. The morning of our departure he texted with specific details of where to go, what to bring, and where to meet him. Upon greeting him he built an immediately rapport with us and more importantly our 7 and 9 year olds. He went over the safety of the boat - rules and how to make the best choices to have the safest and best time. He gave his history and information about Marco Island and its ecosystems as we trolled along to our first fishing spot. Unprompted he asked if we wanted to take a few min to see dolphins and of course the kids said yes! What a delight. He took us to several stops and carefully taught my 9 year old (and husband ha!) tips and tricks and the best way to catch some fish. What an overall blast. We tried to book again on our trip but they were full (I can understand why!!) 10/10 recommend!!

We were vacationing in the area and definitely not seasoned fishermen/women, however we decided to try something new and booked this 2-hour excursion. The crew was so helpful and accommodating to help us learn. We caught several fish and a small shark, plus the boat ride itself to the fishing location was enjoyable. We saw several dolphins on our way back to shore which was an unexpected treat.

Capt Kevin was awesome! Very nice and knowledgable. Had fish on in minutes of fishing. Kept our hooks baited and got the fish off quick for us. Our 5 year old and 7 year old had a blast. Would definitely book again!

We had an enjoyable excursion with Captain Jason. He was very professional and helped my grandsons, ages 8 & 11, to have a fun first experience fishing! The trip was calm and relaxing. The time frame of 2 hours was perfect for the boys. I would suggest booking directly with Captain Jason/4th Story Charters, rather than through a third party.

The captain was wonderful and made the most of this mini fishing trip. In the pic it shows a kid holding a large fish making it seem it was possible to catch decent fish- possibly for eating. It's just a an opportunity to drop a line to catch lil fish - bait fish basically. Definitely a fishing trip for little kids to try their hand at parking over a school of fish close to shore and for them to feel success at pulling in one after another. Consider it a day for the adults to watch the joy on the younger kids faces as they bring in one after another of little fish. Enjoy the scenery and the captain making the most of boat ride for the adults

Our family had such a great time with Captain Kevan. He was so kind, patient and friendly from the moment we met him. We took a short ride to our fishing spot and caught many types of fish. This was our second time doing a family private fishing trip with Captain Jason, and it was just as great—if not better—than the first. The kids had an amazing time catching both big and small fish, and the adults got in on the action too—we even caught a small shark! We unfortunately didn’t catch more than a few catfish and sheep heads, but our family still had a blast with captain Kevin! He made the trip memorable with facts, info, finding some dolphins and osprey families. We’ll be trying again on our next trip to Marco, and we’ll be looking for captain Kevin!

Exactly what we were looking for. Myself and my 4 year old did a trip with captain Kevin. He was extremely friendly and took extra time to teach my 4 year old all about fish and fishing. If you are looking for something for young kids this is the place to be. Caught all types of fish including a hammerhead shark that my son is still talking about! We will be back next year!
